   This was our first visit to this wonderful little gem...we will definately return next time we visit St. Pete's Beach. It came highly recommended and with good reason. The food was outstanding, the presentation delightful, the service was great...and the ambiance unique...loved it.

   The space was a surprise -- the shell of a diner and the interior of fine dining. The food was carefully prepared and very good. The server was attentive, helpful and genuinely interested in our dining experience. Try this place out; it is a very pleasant surprise on St. Pete Beach.

   This was a great find. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. Doug the owner/manager provided fantastic customer service, and we truly enjoyed our meal. We would highly recommend Madfish and have definitely putting Madfish on our list of regular restaurants to visit whenever we are in the St. Pete Beach area.

   My Wife and I were very pleased with the food and service that we had received at Madfish! We had heard really great things about Snappers, but had never been. When we found out that Madfish was the sister restaurant, we decided to try it out. We found the service was excellent, the food was really good, well priced. We personally felt the portions to be well sized. And it was within walking distance of the Tradewinds resort! The wine list was extensive enough for us and were within the price range of most other places we eat at. Would definetly come back!

   We were looking forward to a wonderful meal as we read the previous reviews. Instead we had to send our meals back because they were cold. The serving portions were very small...if you are a big eater...forget it. Now we did order from the Early Bird menu, but we had read in the reviews that the portions of the Early Bird were the same as the regular menu items. If so, then you will leave hungry. We noticed another table sent food back as well. And another table had to ask for a bread basket...none were given out automatically. We did not receive any bread.

   Diner exterior, fine food interior. An unusual exterior among gulf coast restaurants but a find for great cuisine once you're inside. Trust the chef.

   Very fine local place with great food. Not too pricey, but gourmet fare is served. Some people would call it "comfort gourmet."

   I went based upon internet reviews. I think it was over rated. I had grouper and shrimp in a red sauce. The piece of fish was really small. The crab legs didn't have much flavor. The salad and wine were excellent. The service was excellent. We ate at another restaurant on Treasure Island, Middle Grill, much better.

   We met some friends at Madfish for dinner on a Saturday evening. We made reservations for 5:00 so that we could take our time and relax over dinner before walking on the beach to enjoy the sunset. We took advantage of the Early Bird Specials--a great deal. We expected lunch size portions but were surprised by the amount of food for a really reasonable price. The dinner included a salad, entree and a small slice of pie. Everything was delicous. We will definitely return.

    There is a very limited menu. That said, our waiter failed to tell us of the 4 or 5 specials that were available. We found out about them when the other waiter offered them to a couple who came in well after we ordered. We did inquire about having just a plain shrimp cocktail and the waiter said it was available. He misunderstood me and only brought one with my salad. Luckily, he did this since it was $12 a pop for standard shrimp cocktail. My wife did order the filet without the trappings but the "medium" was much much closer to medium rare. My medium well was done to perfection but the lump crab meat was actually crumbled crab cake. Overall, we would not return.
