In addition to indoor and outdoor dining, Madera offers two private dining rooms with private terraces and cozy fireplaces. The Lemon Room seats up to 10 guests, and the Orange Room up to 14 guests.


This Menlo Park restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner and for Sunday brunch as well. We can accommodate parties of 6 or less in the main dining room. If you care to have a larger party please contact the restaurant directly.

This review is based on a dinner date on a Saturday night. The restaurant has great ambiance and the food was excellent. We shared the Squid Ink Tagliatelle for starters, my wife had the Oak Grilled Beef Tenderloin and I got the Liberty Farms Duck Breast for our entrees. The duck was the best - the skin was so flavorful and the meat so delicious. We had the Chocolate Earl Grey for dessert and that was excellent too. The portions are just enough for both of us. It's worth the drive and the tab. Highly recommended!

They completely rushed our meal. I wasn’t even done eating my plate and the next one was coming, at one point the waiter pulled my half eaten plate away from me. This is after I told someone else I wasn’t done. Really bad service for a restaurant of this caliber. Good food not good service. When you spend this much money you want savor the food and finish your wine, guess they had something else in mind.

Absolutely loved this restaurant and experience. The dessert option called “The Olympics” was especially memorable. 6 bonbons from the past 6 Olympics with curated ingredients of each nation who hosted the games. It even came with a little guide book! So much fun. I can’t forget the scrumptious, buttery, scallops I had too!

The food was mostly terrific, as was the service. The only downfall was when I mentioned to the server that my beef tenderloin was not cooked to how I ordered it, there was no offer of addressing the issue. That said, even though it was cooked medium, it was still pretty tender, so I didn't want to make a scene. I just expected something more from a Michelin star restaurant.

The whole trout was presented beautifully but bland and taste like mud. For some reason the dishes for the past several occasions keep disappointing. So much attention on the look but the taste actually nothing special. I really like this place as an ideal location for business lunch meetings or dinner with family but the food need to improve.

Worst dining experience of my life. Service was slow and down right rude. At one point I overheard a waiter complaining about serving people! I guess they don’t think they are in the service business. Staff needs to be trained and probably the management too. Too bad such an ideal location can come up to par.

Everything was great including our waiter except for the host at the front booth. I arrived at 11:20 am (reservation at 11:30 am for 2 people) and they would not allow us to sit down even though I saw most of the tables were ready to be served. This is really disappointing and with a business partner, we have to stand at the door to wait.

First visit to this Rosewood - London Rosewood absolutely brilliant. I'd be amazed if this isn't the best hotel and restaurant for miles around. Very good service, all the staff friendly and helpful (sommelier Rachel outstanding in this respect) and the setting is stunning. Obviously food not quite up to level of London Rosewood (exec Chef Amandine there one of most famous in France, and Sommelier Michael one of best in London) but if you're not flying 5,000+ miles for dinner (as I am tonight!) this is a great choice!

Had an AMAZING dinner with My Love, for our 6month Anniversary. Everything was PERFECT!!! It was the “fairy tale dinner that she’d always dreamed of” (her words). I can’t thank the Madera enough for such a great evening. The food was excellent, the wine was fantastic, and our waiter Alex, was the best waiter I’ve ever had at any restaurant anywhere. My Love had the duck, which she LOVED, and even though it’s not on the dinner menu, my waiter Alex still got me the burger. It was great! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND everybody to visit this place, and if you do, ask for Alex Arani to be your waiter. You WON’T be sorry.

Madera is always a good place for a business meal. Food is good (and improving); service is always top notch, and the setting and ambiance is excellent. I use Madera often for both breakfast and lunch, and it never misses.

Outstanding ambiance and elegant dining. Service was mediocre, had to wait for wine service, and check, not attentive waiter. Food good to excellent but portions too small for price. Excellent dessert. Will give it another try, but a bit too pretentious for my taste. Noise level acceptable.

Madera at the Rosewood Hotel is a very nice classy restaurant with excellent service. The menu was preprinted with the occasion & there was a special menu for children with healthy food options. Parking is great with valet service. I would recommend it for celebrating a special occasion. A memorable experience.

I was at Madera two days in a row. Where one is seated makes a big difference. The first day was much noisier and it difficult to hear each other speak. The second day we were seated near the window and it was much better.

Everything was exceptional except my salad and entre. I did not care for the beet salad- way too frisee heavy. I ordered the lamb shank, was turned off my the presentation- giant bone was not appealing as well as color of whatever the lamb shank was perched above- the lamb itself was very hard to maneuver and way too rare ( was never asked how I would like it served, I wrongly presumed it was going to be braised....)- taste was very "muttony" tasting. the cream puff type dessert was delicious. I have to say I have dined at Madera semi frequently for mostly business lunches and never had a meal that I could not eat and looked so distasteful. Our server was excellent.

I cannot speak about the food as I just book this place for my boss and his associates. However I can speak to their service administrative, and in that regards, they are the worst! If it were up to me, I would never book there again. You would think they would catch on to the fact that we regularly spend quite a lot of money there, not just in food, but reserving a room, and with each reservation comes a new challenge or rule I had not been informed of previously. In short, not accommodating at all. I very much dislike when companies make it hard to spend money at their location.
