We were seated at 6:30pm in a nearly empty restaurant. It was 8:20pm before our entree was served. Other later arriving diners were served sooner than ourselves. Perhaps the mayor and his party (arrived after us) took precedent?

We absolutely loved our experience at Madeleine's and are already looking forward to going back. The lemon drop martini was the best I've ever had. Not so sweet, tasted pure and fresh. The food was outstanding and fun and so was the atmosphere and wait staff! We definitely recommend a vist to Madeleine's.

The food was what made this visit special. Dishes were cooked to near perfection and decent portion sizes. My wife and I left full. The servers were professional and knowledgeable, although there was a little lack in promptness, but their recommendations were spot on. Cocktails were also great. We were sat upstairs where the ambiance was almost hushed, which was really nice for a romantic dinner. The decor was a little tacky. Overall a great experience and we will be going back for other special occasions (Valentines, anniversary, etc)

I like all the food I tried! I had duck with sauteed mushrooms, purple mash potatoes for dinner. My appetizers was seafood dip with wonton chips and mushrooms with lobster and cheese I think. I.had a blood orange margarita which I like. Everything was good it was worth the 127.00 dollars for two.

We both had the stuffed porkchop. Very good but not a fan of the "stacked" style of serving. We were celebrating my husband's birthday which they were told ahead of time. Thought they might offer him a scoop of ice cream or a cupcake or something for dessert but nothing. Think this is poor. Otherwise, good food and service.

Our service was outstanding. It was our anniversary and they put us at a quiet table and decorated the table for us! We tried a few different things from the menu and everything was delicious. Dessert was yummy too! Great wine selection. Really great overall experience.

This would be a 5 star rating but for slow drink delivery. People who arrived later than we did got their drinks before we got ours. Always frustrating. We were told the delay was because I ordered a mixed drink and everyone else got wine which is faster to pour. Our food was excellent! My husband said his filet the slow drink delivery.

Overall very displeased I think the rub on the steaks over shadowed the flavor of the steak also the silver trays that they serve the steak on were not warm usually those are really hot the salad was warm which I like a cold salad My brother had to duck which was not very good it taste like liver almost. The wine was good and the atmosphere was good bye the way I’m in the restaurant business and Been at it for 40 years I currently run a restaurant.

This was our 3rd experience at Madeleines, and once again very pleased. The music was a nice mix and not too loud. We started with the steak and gorgonzola crostini, and lobster mushroom caps. My husband and I split the 14oz. New York strip and mashed potatoes . Cooked to perfection but the steaks temperature was less than hot.(didn’t stop us from eating it though) Our server Charles was helpful with his recommendation of the Elderberry martini which I will order again. Madeleines is a little gem.

This used to be my favorite place in town for ambiance and quality food, but recent changes to the menu and wait staff has made this restaurant just “ok”. For the price you pay, “ok” just isn’t acceptable. Please go back to your old menu and stop trying to be trendy...

Amazing chef with exotic dishes if your adventurous. We had Camel Curry and it was unbelievable. You can also have steak and pasta dishes as well. The garden patio outside is beautiful! Hands down the best restaurant in Evansville!

Madelines has one, if not the, most refined dining experience in Evansville. Their menu always offers items you will not find anywhere else in town, like camel or soft shell crab.

Servers are consistently knowledgeable and friendly. The speed that food comes out is slower than their casual competition, so expect a longer dining time.

Their bar is well stocked with possibly the best bourbon selection in town. Prices on rare ones aren't going to excite you, but you get to name your price when no one else has it.

As far as the rest of the menu prices, they are very fair, but definitely not cheap. If you order steak, seafood, and alcoholic drinks you can spend anywhere from $50-$100 per person.

I have no qualms about the value of what I'm buying, and I would easily recommend to others for a special night.

One additional note - when the weather is right their outdoor patio is incredible. They've setup an oasis in downtown Evansville that I cannot recommend enough. Ben Dahlquist was playing live music during our dinner, and he was a perfect fit. Light humor and music that enhanced without intruding on dinner. That guy has a great personality, and I hope to hear him again.

We had a lovely evening and highly recommend! The menu and food were fabulous! If ur a wine snob - you’ll love the wine menu. Our service was good and waiter did the best he could. I didn’t give a 5 because he should have had help. Clearing dishes was not prompt, stacked several to clear table and at this level, should have been more professional. There was no music upstairs and it would have been nice. We’ll be back!!

The overall experience was fine, the menu is way over priced for the taste of food and portion amount. They were out of several things on the menu, both food and drink, the filet mignon was not as good as it should have been for 34$ plus all the side orders are in the 10-20$ range just for sides! I would recommend it, just not a place to eat at often.

Food was good, but quality does not hold up to price - $200 for four people: water, no alcohol, one appetizer, one salad, four entrees, no dessert, and no coffee. Ouch! In addition a medium-well filet was ordered, but the steak arrived butterflied, burnt looking, and dry. And, although closing time was at 10 pm, our group felt we were rushed to leave by our server, as we were the last table remaining at 9:05 pm.
