The Capital Grille - Chicago - Downtown
Everyone was so incredibly warm and welcoming. Our server was the best!!!
Brought some friends from out of town. Perfect Saturday night dinner. The drinks were great and the food was American, but with awesome flavor and presentation. Highly recommend the burger. Staff was also super friendly. Recommend MAD social if looking for west loop vibe with better prices and attitudes!
Excellent service and food. Space and seating can be a little tight.
A+ start to finish
Food always fabulous, service was exceptional for a busy Sunday brunch. Never disappoints!
Awesome food! Great happy hour specials. One of my favorites in the West Loop.
Gathering of five friends and relatives. Shared many wonderful dishes - especially the Crispy Brussels Sprouts and the Havarti Mac & Cheese. Pleasant, efficient server and a lovely evening by the large, open, front window.
Loved the bottomless mimosas! We were never without a full glass! I think it’s genius to give the small bottles of champagne to make sure everyone is taken care of.
We met up with some friends we hadn't seen in years & were seated in a booth. This seating added to the ambience & it was easy to converse & catch up. The cocktails & food were fantastic!. Would recommend!
Interesting and flavorful food combinations with an enjoyable atmosphere.
As always, we were not disappointed in any way. We will keep coming back.
Good for a pre-united center show. Wish there were more vegetarian options.
The food was great. So many good options on the brunch menu. We want to come back to try the lunch/dinner menus. We also appreciated the great service. We had a reservation that was slightly delayed. The hostess continued to keep us updated on the availability. Too often you start to feel forgotten. She did a great job.
Our waitress was also friendly and professional.
Bad service can ruin a dining experience. So wonderful to see such great staff at Mad Social.
Friendly, attentive service! Delicious dishes with lovely presentation! Birthday ice cream surprise! Accommodated is graciously after reservation snafu despite full house and rain shutting down patio. Every dish was amazing at brunch - short rib Benedict a winner! Amazing brussels sprouts! Great vibe. Will be back soon!
Arugula Truffle Flatbread was really good. Could've eaten ten more of them. Octopus salad was also good, as was the burger (that comes with a large serving of fries).
We had a great experience here this morning, we just arrived from NYC and we were looking for a nice brunch near out hotel. Food and service was excellent, I highly recommend the brussel sprouts.
We had a good experience at MAD, just wish their brunch menu had more choices — but overall we had a great time! Love the bottomless mimosas deal.
Dined here on numerous occasions. This time was simply marvelous. Our server Bailey is a Rock Star! Back waiter Ruben is the best in the business. Chris the GM checked on us numerous times to ensure all is well.
The brussels sprouts are the best thing on the menu - I appreciate when a restaurant makes a vegetable dish one of the highlights. The duck bao are really good too, but the other dishes aren't as impressive. The cake pop dessert was overwhelmingly sweet - it really needed some balance. It was my mistake to request an outdoor seat right around 6PM. Lots of noise from street traffic and also lots of foot traffic (including lots of people walking their dogs) made for a less-than-ideal experience.
Service was amazing, but the food was not good. The burger had so much unnecessary grease, the fries were brown and hard from being fried in old grease. Not what you would expect for $21, especially when you feel leaving sick.
Had a wonderful time they made my friends birthday very special! Food and service were great. I’ll definitely be returning.
Food was yummy and the atmosphere was chill. Nothing stuck out as exceptional but it was a positive experience overall.
I would recommend MAD to a younger crowd simply due to the energetic noise level as well as the clientele.
The food and service was excellent, we found the noise and price tag a bit above average.
We will most likely return at some point in our Sunday Brunch or perhaps even dinner rotation as I LOVED!!!!!! the shaved brussels sprout entree with two eggs over easy on the side. YUMMY!!!
I feel like Mad Social is a hidden gem. It doesn't get the press of other West Loop restaurants but it always delivers. Their burger is fantastic--I always wonder why it doesn't make the best burger list of Chicago. In my opinion it's better than Au Cheval. I also like the mac 'n cheese, the brussell sprouts, the pillows, the duck buns, the tuna tacos, etc.
We had reservations and asked to be seated outside. When we mentioned that to the hostess she said there was a waiting list and there were people in front of us. Nothing else. No sorry, no explanation. Don't reservations trump a wait list? Even if they didn't, she was rude, condescending, and pretty much useless. Other than that, the restaurant was super cute, our waitress was outstanding and the food was good. Get rid of the hostess and you'll be in good shape.
Everything was great from start to finish!
If you're looking for a casual spot to drop in for a drink and great bites/small plates, this is the place for you. Conveniently located within walking distance to the United Center, it's easy to stop by for a meal before a game or show. The host and servers were very welcoming and aimed to please. And the food was delicious!!
Pre- concert dinner with the gals was delightful! My first time there - delicious menu! Our waitress was attentive and personable.
Drinks and our entrees were great, however we ordered a kale salad that was not very good, and not worth the $12 or $14 we spent on it.
Sunday brunch with my little man (he’s three) and it was perfection! The staff was friendly and welcoming, the food was delicious, he had a great time and I did too! The coffee is so good. I wish they had fresh squeezed juice because I prefer that for myself and my kid (also it’s better for you come on :) we know that) but the pancakes, bacon and fruit side dishes made up a right-sized breakfast for him and the burrito and plump and crispy wedge fries were amazing! We will be back for sure!
Everything we had was excellent. The Mac n cheese and the Brussels sprouts salad were especially good. We’ll be back!
Very attentive server. Friendly. Good happy hour deal of half off wine and cheese boards.
We’re there for my Husband’s 60 th. Birthday. Our party was running behind, but they were still accommodating. Our waitress was on point and brought ice cream out for his Birthday. As we were leaving the bartender bought him a shot, he was so sweet!! Food delish.
Everything was great except Havarti Mac & Cheese was little bland. French Toast, Bloody Marys & our sever were fantastic!!! Our favorite place for brunch in Chicago! We highly recommend it!!
Excellent shareable plates. Bacon wrapped stuffed Jalapenos, the short rib ravioli pillows, chicken lettuce wraps, all great. Grilled octopus was just ok.
Overall, the experience was wonderful. Our server was attentive and the food was delicious. I highly recommend the Pop Tart and Breakfast Sandwich. My friend ordered the Chicken and Churro waffle. The waffle was impeccable; however, the chicken was very bland.
Food was terrible. Chicken and waffles were burns and had no flavor. Pop tart was also burned. Waitress was annoying constantly asking if we were done eating as we had forks in our mouths.
This was our second visit and it was even better than the first. Great food! Service was wonderful too. Will be a regular stop for us on our way to the United Center or downtown. My husband had the the Pillows (short rib stuffed ravioli). He said it might be the best thing he's ever eaten. Great cocktails!
Love it there every time!
