I wrote on the notes to my OpenTable reservation that if there was a corner seat at the bar, I would prefer to sit there. As it turned out, that corner was available . The bartender was quite lovely. She let me taste a few red wines until I found the one I liked the most (Complicated Pinot Noir). My group ordered the brussels sprouts and fries to share. Brussels sprouts were tasty, but not what I expected. They were shredded with other veggies so it's more like a crispy salad. I ordered the poke fish tacos, which I shared with a friend. They are served with hard corn tortillas and some rice croquetes. I prefer soft flour tortillas (less breakage), but I thought they were good.
I like this bar and have come here for happy hour before. Felt it was a nice place to hang for pre-show theatre get together.
Everything about this place was great!! Would recommend to anyone!!
My go to neighborhood spot for great cocktails, friendly service and those brussel sprouts!
Great food, huge portions very filling brunch with a great vibe and amazing waitstaff. Its a crowded restaurant so you aren't going there to have massive space in between tables, you are going there for good food and good times.
The food was delicious, and had healthy options. We did feel that we were being rushed to leave our table at the end of the meal, which was the only downside of the experience.
My experience at Mad Social was wonderful! We went for brunch! The staff was excellent. The food was INCREDIBLE! Highly recommend the pancakes! Best I’ve ever had! Will come back when I’m back in the city!
Omg the crispy brussel sprouts. The food was amazing and I love the idea of sharing plates that aren’t super small. Definitely recommend for the food and ambience. More of an upbeat music restaurant. Will definitely be back for those brussel sprouts.
Food was disappointing. Service was good, decor was trendy, could have done without the heavy bass music thumping. Food didn’t live up to the hype.
It was a good place, but a little pricey for what it was.
Seating is a little tight in places. Other than that, fantastic!
Sat at the bar and the bartender could not have been nicer and more helpful - mixing drinks to our liking and special ordering food for allergy issues. Wish I had his name- Wednesday night tall with dark hair. He assisted my husband and I before the hawks game- please hank him if you can identify him. We appreciated it!
Get the havarti mac and cheese. It’s amazing!!! Service was great, too.
The food for dinner was really good! I have dined at Mad Social previously for brunch (which my wife and I love) but had not tried the dinner menu before. The plates are all quite shareable so you can order 2-3 for a couple and walk home full. I highly recommend the Brussels sprouts, mac and cheese, and duck confit bao buns!
Went to MAD Social with a large group before heading to the United Center. It was the perfect location that’s part of the trendy scene west loop offers and convenient for heading to the UC after. The food was amazing and service was attentive. The server handled our large party well! Highly recommend the poke tacos and cocktails, though everything was delicious.
We went for two items: their churro/waffle with chicken and the Korean short ribs on kimchee with eggs Benedict...flavors were really bold and they get an A+ for creativity!
Food, drinks, and service was really great!!!! Had a party of 6 and everyone was extremely happy with everything overall. The seating was a little tight as our spot was parallel to the bar but it was fine. Ambiance is fun!! It is a louder atmosphere with clubby music but we all liked it and it was a good start to our evening out. Thanks Mad Social. We’ll be back! ☺️
Great food, vibe, and pretty reasonable prices
a very exciting adventure for us Rockford folks before Wonr a fe blocks away.
Decided to grab a bite at MAD Social before catching a Bulls game. The food was delicious and service was efficient. I wish we were seated in the main area or near a window, because I felt a bit separated from everything. Overall, would recommend.
We had some food trouble and our server wasn’t the most responsive but the ambiance, atmosphere and value was absolutely there. The manager and the head chef both came over to smooth us over and all was well. A free drink or something would have been better but a free dish is cool too.
We had an excellent brunch of rancho huevos, breakfast sandwich with scrambled eggs bacon and sausage, plus a Bloody Mary and glass of red wine. Service was friendly, the food was well-prepared with generous proportions and the vibe was happy and energetic. We enjoyed ourselves and would happily return.
Great food - Try the brussel sprouts - good cocktails
We had 3 tables for our big group. Servers were very accommodating.
Great waitress great food and portions!
Great Food, Great staff and Great manager. Everyone pitched in and too took care of us. Very unselfish staff and outstanding food!
I already told by friends about the restaurant.
Food was incredible. Octopus salad and tuna tacos were standouts. The refresh was by far my favorite cocktail. Service was the perfect balance attentive and letting us be. Thanks for making my birthday dinner so wonderful!
Great neighborhood place with yummy food, generous portion size, and friendly staff. Loved the food and music...found the seating strangely narrow and uncomfortable - the booths are situated so that you sit side by side with your dinner partner, facing the people directly across at the table. Would definitely visit again and recommend to friends, just perhaps request a table by the windows :D
We had to order 3 full sized meals because they all sounded so good and we definitely had our joy sparked.
Went for brunch. I had the breakfast sandwich. Food was meh. Cocktails were A+. It was smaller than we thought it'd be.
Everything was excellent. I had the chicken and waffles and it was amazing. The churro waffle was super crispy. The chicken was crispy, tender and the size of my plate! My husband had the poke tuna tacos and said they were delicious (but his portion was way smaller than mine). My son had the orange chicken lettuce wraps and he also enjoyed them. The fried brussel sprout appetizer was addicting. We'd definitely go back.
Everything we ordered was great. Shared 4 dishes and brought some home. Service was very good and knowledgeable about the menu, overall a great experience.
Food was delicious. Our server, Leslie, was an absolute delight.
Unfortunately it was so disappointed, the food arrived wrong, some people donated Champagne to our table and the manager took them out and put them in their refrigerator already open.
Music was way too dang loud. Everything else was amazing.
Some of the food came out cold for being made and instantly brought to the table. The chicken skewers did not have much flavor/seasoning. The staff was supper friendly. The bar is to close to the middle tables and you constantly get bumped int
Just a nice place that feels good with some yummy food and good drinks.
Either tone down the music or turn it off.....too loud
We loved our dining experience at Mad Social. Our waitress was so inviting and went out of her way to make us happy when the open table menu listed was not the same as the current menu and we were hoping to have some dishes that were on the old menu. The GM also came to our table to apologize and offered a substitution which was so very nice. Customer service was 5+ stars at this restaurant. We loved all the other small plates we ordered. Very accommodating to food allergies too!!! Highly recommend!! Thanks for a nice time!!
Great food and nice
