Food was horrific. Clearly the meat was frozen then cooked at high temperature creating a “hockey puck” rough to eat piece of filet mignon. The table was set directly next to the waiters booth. The experience was beyond acceptable.

We came for a birthday dinner and the entire experience was less than mediocre. Our server never once asked us how our meal was during appetizers or the main course. The ribeye was paper thin and slightly over cooked for ordering medium rare. The filet was also over cooked for medium rare. I had been here years ago when they first opened and ordered the ribeye and was expecting the same delicious thick cut, but sad to say it was disappointing and put a damper on the birthday celebration.

We had Easter Dinner at Macs and it was wonderful. Consistent as always, the porterhouse for two was delicious. We had the dulce de Leche cheesecake dessert - which was to die for. Jimmy provided friendly, perfectly timed service - as always. Thank you for working Easter Sunday - our family was able to spend a wonderful, peaceful afternoon together.

First time at restaurant - NY steak was perfectly cooked with sautéed spinach and mashed potatoes. Calamari for appetizer also perfect. Service from Damian was very attentive and professional. Would definitely revisit.

Our steak for two cooked to perfection. Tender and juicy. Wasn’t a fan of the cheesecake. Seemed mushy and more like a flan and not a firm cheesecake like we’re used to. Staff very friendly and pleasant. It was our first time here and will be back for the steak for two and try different sides and dessert.

We had a pleasant night out with friends but could not hear the live music at the bar in the dining room. Not sure if that is a good thing or bad thing just a comment. Our server was very pleasant but she remove a cocktail before it was finished and seem to disappear and forget a couple of requests.

Macs' hits the spot once again. This is our 3rd or 4th visit. My wife & I go w/ our 10yr old daughter. Service has been consistent every time - bright, w/ a smile. Our 1st experience we were made to feel like we were patrons for yrs. The experiences to follow were exactly the same. To note, my wife is very specific about how her steak is cooked - med-rare. Seems like an easy request, but, believe me, it's not. We chose Macs' again because the team gets it right the 1st time.

The mimosas were bitter and very light on the Champagne. The Farmers Basket took a long time to come and then the food came almost immediately after. The basket should have homemade warm delicious items. The pastries looked and tasted like left over store bought and the fruit wasn't ripe. The music was sooo depressing!! The french fries used to be good but they were changed to those skinny fast food fries. The burgers weren't very good. Lipton tea was served at the end. For an expensive Sunday Brunch at a Steak House, I would not expect Lipton. I could buy that any time at any supermarket.

We are very disappointed this restaurant. We went there for "Long Island restaurant week" and I had a steak. The steak was very stringy, tough that it even couldn't put on the folk to the steak because so tough and with big steak knife couldn't cut it easy. Then, I had to chew for 5 min for a piece of steak and still couldn't swallow it. My friend had a tuna steak that whole the tuna steak contained white strings in it which also can't chew it. The after they took away our dinner plates with most of food left, a waiter knocked down my friend's wine glass on the table, spilled allover the red wine and he did not replace the wine until we asked him to do so. This restaurant's food are something wrong and manager or head chef should be fired. Also, they shouldn't be on the "Long Island restaurant week"!

My wife and I went for restaurant week. The food was good but not exceptional (we both had the short ribs). Appetizers were okay - Caesar salad and Tomato & Mozzarella. The latter was not what was expected (small mozzarella balls with chopped tomatoes) but was tasty. The cheesecake was a nice closer. Service was very good and attentive. Portions were a very nice size. The dining room can get very noisy as it fills up. It's a solid restaurant that I think differentiates itself on the price side; I think regular menu prices tended to be a bit cheaper than other steakhouses on Long Island.

I have the value 4 stars only because I went during restaurant week, of course I had to ask for the special menu. The steaks were very overcooked and a little tough. The waitress was very nice though.

My overall experience was really good ! We made reservations and was seated right away. ( as you should be but hey some places still lack in that dept.) The waiter was very efficient & friendly. The food came out in a timely manner & was delicious ! My only issues were the table was a bit shakey , the lighting was a bit too dim . Not the worse problems to have. I totally recommend this restaurant.

We had a great time at Macs! Porterhouse for 2, which was cooked and presented perfectly. (And I was even able to use my Groupon) the service was remarkable which was due to our waitress Leanne who was knowledgeable and friendly! We will definitely be back!! And don’t skip the cheesecake for dessert!

I've been here several times. The last time, we left unimpressed with the steaks but decided to try one more time. Well, that was a mistake. I ordered my filet medium, it came out rare and on second try, it came out half well-done and half medium rare inside and burnt on the outside. My wife's steak was worse. We didn't eat them and the manager took it off the bill. However, when we go out for dinner, we usually want to actually HAVE dinner. As we were leaving we overheard a table of about 6 that were also complaining about their food. The wait staff was great, the cocktails and appetizers were fine. It's too bad because we used to like coming here for special occasions, but this may explain why it's easy to get a table here.

Second time here. Each being a naturally busy day[ Valentines day and New years eve]. Price fix menu very reasonable and excellent. Shrimp cocktail plus salad. Chateaubriand [sp?] for 2 was recommended and it was done perfectly. Service was great- never felt rushed. The place looks a little tired but that may add to its charm. Will return.

Very disappointing. First time there on Saturday night with friends. Appetizers were average and bacon all fat. In fact, waitress who was excellent, was extremely apologetic and took it off bill. Mgr never came over. Things got worst for dinner. All steaks were cooked wrong and waitress blamed busy kitchen and she said they would make price adjustment. They offered us deserts and the banana foster was ok. Indeed, better steakhouse alternatives on Long Island.

This was the first time we were there and we absolutely loved it! Besides the wonderful food and service what we really liked was that even though most tables were full, it was still quiet and we didn't have to shout to talk to each other.

We had a great dinner! Our waitress, Erin, was very nice and professional. She was sure not to interrupt during conversation and was knowledgeable of the specials. She came by to check on the table but not to the point that it was annoying. For apps Oysters were good and so were Bacon slab. Porterhouse for 4 was excellent and good to our liking. We will go back.

What a wonderful experience! Our waiter was so nice and polite and he helped to make my birthday special. The tomatoes and mozzarella appetizer tasted so good... the cheese tasted so fresh! And the filet mignon was just melted in your mouth! We will definitely be back again!

The calamari was awesome; a hint of sea salt, not oily and the dipping sauce had a little spice to it. I ordered lobster bisque, which was a bit on the thick side and does not have any actual pieces of lobster in it - a little disappointing. My husband ordered the ribeye, medium, and it came out well. He didn't want to complain too much, but for a $68 ribeye you expect that it's going to be good correctly. They did not ask if he wanted it marinated or blackened, so my husband asked; waitress said they don't do a marinade and it's already lightly blackened. Weird for a steakhouse not to have a marinade option. I ordered the filet mignon dinner with creamed spinach and garlic mashed potatoes. The filet was cooked perfectly, but they blackened the top and bottom of the steak, which I didn't ask for. I've never had a filet mignon 'blackened' before, and it wasn't exactly what I expected. Potatoes and spinach were really very good.

Beer selection is minimal: no blue moon, no true lagers. Definitely more a wine type of atmosphere.

Rug was a bit frayed near our table, but overall decorated nicely.

Not the BEST steakhouse, but it wasn't bad either.
