Mac's Bar & Grill Ratings and Reviews
I took the wife there for our 20th anniversary. The steaks were awesome as usual, as were the champagne splits and the surprise, anniversary ice cream desert!! I had the 12oz ribeye with grilled shrimp and she had the 8oz filet, and both were cooked perfectly. Mac's continues to perform to perfection! Our reservation was for 5pm. We arrived 5 minutes early and were promptly seated. Our waiter, Jerry was knowledgeable of the menu and always there when needed. The food and service at Mac's continue to be excellent and Mac's will always be on our short list for "Special Occasions" as well as anytime dining!!
Most recently dined at Mac's on Christmas Eve. Reservations were for 5:00 p.m. and we were seated promptly. Although we have found all of the waitstaff excellent, Matt S was exceptional. One of us had the pecan crusted trout and the other had the kebob. From the wine, appetizer, salad, entrée and dessert, everything was perfect. We do not live close by, but we visit Mac's as often as we can. Thanks for a very enjoyable dining experience (again).
My husband and I go to Mac's on a regular basis during the year. At Christmas-time though, we always make it a point to bring our entire family to Mac's for a meal together. Mac's has a fabulous selection of food and the price is right on point for whatever you're ordering. The wait service is always exceptional and the atmosphere is vibrant. I would recommend Mac's for any time of year.
Sunday brunch party of two. We arrived ten minutes before our noon reservation and were seated immediately. Dining room was crowded but not overly-loud for a casual dining place. Service was quick and friendly, food was served perfectly-cooked and well-presented. My eggs Florentine was excellent and the fruit bar was well stocked with good fruit. A snafu with the bill was handled professionally.
Mac’s was recommended by my brother and a friend from work. It was mine and my wife’s 23 wedding anniversary and we were looking for somewhere different. We had gone over the usual places that we go and nothing sounded good. My brother had gone there for his anniversary the previous week. So we decided to try it out for ourselves. My wife was wanting some martini’s I told her my friend from work said they had very good ones. So we made online reservations when we arrived we were seated immediately . We were pleased with how quickly we were seated. We stated with a appetizer of scallops then onto the main course of rainbow trout and wild rice. They were excellent. After dinner we split a dessert which was the creme brûlée another excellent choice. When we received the bill we were quite surprised of the price. We decide to order 2 more desserts to go for our kids. We will be returning again with the kids next time. We enjoyed the place very much.
I have removed this place from my favorites. Over last two years, the food has decreased in quality and the service has been a hit or miss. They lack ability to cook flavorful fish as we saw with overdone crab claws and flavorless halibut. The noise level is not energetic, it is obnoxiously loud. Even as the restaurant cleared out we still could not hear one another across the table. This neighborhood "find" has turned into baseball wearing, person hollering, lousy fish chain resturant. Thank you, but no more we are done.
I'm getting a little tired of the menu never changing but I guess that's the appeal for many customers. The wait for food was inordinately long considering that the restaurant was not even halfway full. However, it's convenient and reliable. I'd just like some new options.
