Eating here was a great experience. We had a few items from the Specials (including Cavatelli with Pistacchio, and this fantastic Pollo con Limone) and then risotto with fava beans, sausage and wine. I am originally from Italy, and everything was cooked to perfection and so tasty. The atmosphere was lively, and cozy. The customer service so kind. I will return again.

Always enjoy dining at Macello's. We went for Happy hour, ordered several appetizers, cocktails and a pizza. Everything was delicious, excellent service, and a good value for quality food. We will definitely be back.

Spectacular ! Brought my mom for Mother’s Day. The staff was very attentive and noticed she spoke Spanish. All went all their way to speak in Spanish and wish her a happy Mother’s Day. Food was amazing, always.

A long time favorite. A little louder tonight than usual, but the food and service were impeccable as always. Saw the "balloon" outside for a few years and finally tried it 15+ years ago. One of the best, under "known" restaurants in Chicago.
