A long time favorite. A little louder tonight than usual, but the food and service were impeccable as always. Saw the "balloon" outside for a few years and finally tried it 15+ years ago. One of the best, under "known" restaurants in Chicago.

A lively place to grab some delicious oven fired pizza or pasta. A nice wine list and full bar. Good servers who are happy to help you choose a wine. Atmosphere is colorful and cozy.

It has been 10 years since my last visit. And the restaurant remains the same gem it was then. The menu is deep, with almost too many amazing options, service excellent, and overall environment makes for a great dining experience. Have been trying to make an excuse to get back for several years. Will not be so long before my next stop in.

We love Macello. It never disappoints. Food was excellent, both pasta and seafood. Service was attentive as always. Lovely wine selection. It has gotten more pricy, but so has every nice restaurant! We brought a couple who had never been, and they loved it.

This was our 1st visit to Macello and we were very pleased with our experience. The restaurant has a great energetic vibe, and our server, Ramiro P, was very attentive and service-oriented. Our food was great as well. All in a very pleasant experience. We will be back for sure.
