Macchialina Taverna Rustica
The food was good, the service was excellent and we enjoyed ourselves.
Would definitely go back.
The food was amazing, the service was friendly and attentive, and the ambience was charming. Every single thing was delicious! Special thanks to our server Daniel and all the staff for making our night so special.
I’ve been numerous times and the food quality has been excellent but last night everything was sub par and mediocre. The lasagna which was ordered by three guests came out cold and had to be sent back. Meatballs were small and with too much garlic. Spaghetti pomodoro was over cooked.
We were celebrating a friend’s birthday. I told the hostess who noted it but when we ordered dessert no effort was made although it was done for other tables. Overall very disappointing.
Simple and nice restaurant , probably one of the more authentic italian restaurant in Miami. Good food and very good italian wines in a very pleasant atmosphere . Among all the price are lower than expected ( compliments). Our waiver from Minnesota was clever and very polite but I suggest the owner to have one italian waiver to dedicate more time to better explain the food and the wines ! For sure we’ll come back to Macchialina!
The host, a lady with long hair was very rude to us and we were in line to speak with her and she basically skipped us three times before i had to interject. In addition to skipping us, gave us a terrible table and i had to put my food down to get a better table.
Our server seemed over subscribed. It took a long time for her to take our order and then to get our wine (where we finished our charcuterie before our wine arrived!) At the end it seemed like she was upset about something, she slammed our check on the table and then slammed the table again to bring back the check to sign)
We’re from SF - probably some of the best italian restaurants in the country and the city happens to be among the most expensive in the country so for is to pay close to $100PPA - we expect better .
Meal and ambiance were excellent. Waitress rushed us a bit requiring our whole order when we sat down. If they slowed the pace a bit it would be 6 stars. Definitely go back hopefully with a different waitress.
We tried a variety of things and all were delicious. However, the polenta (we did ours with mushrooms instead of pork) and the short rib lasagna were knock-outs! Also, best bread pudding I've ever had! When next in Miami we will be back!
Always great. Excellent service, food is really good, we really enjoy coming in every time. Thank You! And special Thanks to waitress Martina Filipova.
Great food and excellent service.
Phenomenal! Excellent service and food. New fav spot in South Beach. Good but casual scene with an emphasis on dining. Cannot say enough about this place. Try the meatballs, tuna tartare, and bread pudding.
Dining room Slammed on a Friday evening BUT food and service did not suffer.
This restaurant is small but the service is great! It was packed, but our server made time for us. We were celebrating our 20 year anniversary and when we first arrived, the hostess wished us a Happy Anniversary.
We ordered the duck and sausage polenta to start and it was delicious! We also had the gnocco fritto and it was very tasty.
For the entree's we had the short rib lasagna- outstanding and the cavatelli was tasty too.
For dessert we ordered a chocolate and hazelnut pastry and it was very tasty.
We'd definitely recommend this place!
Was recommended by locals. Exceeded our expectations, phenomenal pasta and excellent shareable options. Will be coming back next visit.
Had a delicious birthday meal and found the quality of food amazing for the value. Great service
it continues to be the best Italian in Miami Beach
If you are looking for a small family owned restaurant with authentic Italian food, this is the place! Everything we ordered was amazing, from the wine to the burrata and the specialty pasta dish with shaved truffles- and the service was fantastic. Next time we are in Miami we will definitely be back!
Great spot with great food. Will definitely return.
Excellent service and quality of food
Been here few times n we love to come here when we are in Miami , Martina is great like always . The only thing is that my husband is vegan and they always take care of him n this time he didn’t eat well like before . His plate was not Tasty
And he was not happy . Over all it was ok .
My Bronzino was great . The wine was lousy and usually their selección it’s great .
Had to wait half an hour for our reservation but everything else was amazing!-
Delicious food, great wine list. Had reservations but still had to wait a good 25 minutes.
Enjoyable, but don't know if I would go back
Place was a great find. Food was delicious and a place we would surely come back to on our next trip into Miami
Favorite italian dinner in Miami (Perricone's now closed 1b).
Outstanding local italian ...Amy the hostess) front of house person accommodated us even though I messed up the open table reservation . Been talking about our dinner for the last few days . An unpretentious gem in South Beach thats not to be missed!
We tried 2 new appetizers on the menu, tuna tartare and the polenta ..OUTSTANDING! We had pasta as our mains...I loved the pasta with clams husband had the pasta with the meat sauce/meatballs(he said amazing) . I normally salt my food but not here ! The flavors were so complex, so delicious! Aside from the fabulous food
The bartender suggested a wonderful bottle of wine and our kind beautiful server was so hospitable. Last but certainly not least our hostess provided an amazing table..the very best!
We can’t wait to return ..(and we have been there often)it’s a special dining experience with such a Kind knowledgeable staff. Thank you for taking such great care of us!
Of all my dining experience throughout the world, this is one of my favorite restaurants. It just never gets old. The food is consistently good. Simply the best pasta like I’ve never had even in Italy. The recipes are prepared with such taste and quality. Some of the highlights: creamy polenta with sausage ragout, burrata (order it with gnoco frito) and the brocolini cesare as appetizers. Cavatelli Machialina, lasagna and literally ALL of the pastas. It can get noisy and cramped in a busy night but it is all part of the experience. Been coming here for years almost every week and the staff is always great. I forgive if they may get a bit rushed when it’s crazy. The bartenders do a great job with cocktails and the chef’s wife as sommelier. An all time favorite!!!
Awesome food! Awesome service!
Limited menu. Food okay. Burrata only had one piece of bread sliced in half and toasted. They added sprouts to the burrata which kinda got me angry cuz we don’t eat them. It was an odd addition. Overall, it was an average meal.
First time there and it was worth walking 1.3 miles to get there. I had the lasagna which has short rib in it, and loved it. Wife had bolognese
And thought it terrific.will visit again when here on vacation.
Birthday dinner while visiting Miami
Food was amazing! We did the chefs tasting menu!
Restaurant seemed to overbook reservations, leaving a crowd of people waiting for a table and not much room to stand. Food was excellent as was the service. But expecting patrons with reservations to wait for a table more than 10 mins is not ok
Fantastic food and service from Cooper the bartender. Will go back on my next visit to Miami. Went for the 5 course tasting and was not let down.
Waitress was extremely pushy trying to upsell the menu - felt like a used car lot not a restaurant.
Food was fantastic. Service was perfect. We love this place.
Good food. Small portions. Left, hungry. Ate
Again, an hour, later. Next time we will probably order more food per person. At that point it gets kind of expensive, but the food is very good.
Couldn’t have been happier
The place was packed. The food was tasty but not a wow. They don't advertise themselves as a Tapas place but the food portion is clearly that size while the price isn't. Both my date and I were hungry after eating an appetizer and an entree. They even charge you for bread.
Deeply disappointing experience. Small portions of uninspired pasta that is overpriced (25-28$$). Limited menu. We had to ask twice before tasting menu was explained to us. Waitress didn’t let us know there were specials. We only found out by overhearing list of specials from neighboring table after we ordered. Ordered bread -extra cost- never came until we asked. No butter, no olive oil, tasteless. Our Entree were delivered 20 mins apart. Very strange service. Will not return.
