Small restaurant with limited seating. Tables are both indoors and outdoors and are assigned based on availability at the time of your arrival. Arrived during rainstorm and waited past our reservation for an hour before getting a table. Severally overcrowded, standing room only while waiting. Food was good (pasta great, but veal parmesan was bit tough). Pricing was on higher end for quantities received.

Made a reservation for 9:15PM for indoor seating on Pasta Thursday. Was given a seat at 10PM outside. Didn’t get food until 1035pm. The host seats “regulars” with priority.
Absolutely amazing!!! I went alone and just wanted to sit by the bar have dinner and relax from work. What a wonderful place to be. I had the pleasure of meeting Jen who works at the bar and who was so attentive. Jen knew everything, from menu to wine list and was able to secure the perfect meal with wine. Thank you so much Jen!! Let’s not fail to mention her fabulous customer service skills!!! I’ll be back and will make sure my friends and family will also!

Me and a friend went on a early Tuesday night. The place was kinf of busy already, I guess because they were making a “Pasta week special”. I enjoyed the food but wasn’t that magnificent and I really got disappointed with the hurry serving everything. I understand the fact of the place being small and the special going on but I wasn’t ready to have a bottle of wine in 40 min and have to pack my food to go! Besides the hurry our waitress was very attentive. I have to wait a while so I can try to come back and probably just order a glass of wine not a bottle.
Food was delicious. Even though there was a 10$ special on pastas, somehow, the bill still comes out to 250$ for 3 ppl. I love the food but I wouldn’t come here as often for dinner. Once in a while to splurge on the wine list, absolutely.

Great service! Small portions but we assume it’s because it was $10 pasta night. They can’t possibly offer same portions for the reduced price. Tables are too small to order many dishes and since all orders have to be placed from the beginning & plates come out as they are ready in the kitchen, it’s hard to know if the table will be overcrowded with plates at any given time. However, still good experience. Will be returning.
It was delicious and a great experience. Ben was our waiter. We took all he’s recommendations and it made all the difference. His knowledge of the menu, drinks and wine list was truly impressive. We will definitely return and recommend it to everyone we know. Thanks Ben!!

Noise level inside ridiculously loud, so we ate outside on the busy street. Not the best but the food makes up for the honking cars, etc. Delicious dinner and terrific waiter.
Been coming to Macchialina for years now and every time I go it never fails to impress me. Whenever I have guests visiting from out of town the only place I take them is here even if they are craving sushi. Chef Pirolo and his sister, Jackie who runs the front of house, are the best duo in town.
Incredible wine list created by wine director Jackie and the traditional/rustic cuisine, impeccable service, and solid ambiance is the recipe for a perfect dining experience. There are thousands of restaurants to go in Miami but for some reason I always find myself dining here, at least twice a month. It’s like going to see your therapist, a must.

This is my favorite restaurant in Miami, hands down. My husband and I come here for special occasions and love to bring our families. The service is great and the food is always spectacular.
Had a reservation for 2, but only outside or bar was available, they were holding a table for 4 so I guess having a reservation for less than 4 means nothing?
Fantastic, intelligent service. Food was well seasoned, great portions, and most importantly--delicious! Great textures and flavors. Reservations strongly suggested! The tasting menu is a great value for the money. Don't miss that opportunity if you want to try a bit of everything and are hungry!
We ate here this evening as we wanted to check the restaurant out before we booked their taster menu. Unfortunately, after this evening we wont be returning.
We waited 40 minutes for our table (which was booked for 10pm). Dissopointingly a group who arrived after we had been waiting for 30 minutes were seated immediately. To be fair the staff were very busy and it was clearly a stressful evening for them but we didn't feel that we were fairly compensated for the inconvenience. The food tasted wonderful but we were sad to be treated in this way.
The food was absolutely amazing, but the service was terrible. Our waiter made comments multiple times about how he needed to flip the table. I’m sorry, at 10:30pm with a few empty tables, you don’t need our specific table. Our table of 2 ordered an $100+ bottle of wine, 4 pastas and veal parm for 2 people. We wanted dessert, but felt so uncomfortable after he multiple comments that we just left. Had he been pleasant, we would’ve ordered dessert and two martinis, which would have added to his tip. I was disappointed tip was included because I would’ve tipped 18% on the food, but 10% on the alcohol due to the terrible service.
For two weeks we have been dining at Miami’s finest dining establishments during Miami Spice. Mr. Chow, Hakkasan, Byblos, Pao, The Bazaar, Red -The steakhouse.
The vote from our group was unanimous.
Macchialina is the best meal in Miami.
Unpretentious, relaxed atmosphere with excellent helpful, friendly service. And courses that were delicious tasty and perfect on the plate. My son reminds me to mention that the portions are also very generous. While traditional it does not preclude creative touches and inventive presentation. The wine list is extensive too.
An altogether wonderful evening in the Italian tradition Macchialina receives our highest recommendation.
Amazing restaurant. Atmosphere is full of buzz. Staff swarm around with endless energy but without seeming overwhelmed at all. Hostess manages the tables and the line of keen diners as well as I’ve seen. Nothing but smiles on people’s faces, mix of casual and suits. With no one seeming out of place. The food was as full of flavour as possible. Nothing was too much trouble. The short rib lasagna and the Zeppolis if you really made me pick standout dishes..... but I’d rather just have them all again.
Fun night for 5 of us. Sending granddaughter off to Miami U!

We had the chef’s tasting menu- 8 different items from the menu. Our waiter gave a succulent description of each item as he placed it in front of us as our mouths watered. Excellent food, service was great and we recommend it to anyone. Go hungry!

AMAZING EVERY TIME!!! Love the pomodoro and mezzaluna are the best pastas ever!! And the tiramisu and panna cota are a must try!! Love this place!!
Lovely restaurant that had exceptional service. Loved the music they were playing side note.
We had the summer salad and it was delicious, light and flavourful.
Followed by taglioni and cavatelli pasta - both were amazing especially the cavatelli. The sauce and meatballs tasted like my nonnas. The only thing I didn't care for was the Gnocco Fritto (one of the small starters we got) It is essentially fried dough/bread. And it didn't do anything for me.

Let me just say this place sits close to my heart. Jacqueline is always such a sweetheart and is so kind to us. Not only that but the food is always tasty, fresh and to me is true italian food. The staff is always so friendly and on top of it. Thank you team Macchialina!
Love it! Always have an amazing meal and they really care about their customers. All their pasta is fresh and high quality. My favorite dessert is the zeppoles.

Too bad you don’t have a zero star rating. Terrible experience from the get go. Nastiest and rudest of all hostesses/manager: Elisha is clueless about the people skills needed in the hospitality field. She chose to make us wait one hour for our table although we had an 8.45 reservation and had arrived on time. There were 3 adjacent tables for 2 available throughout our wait. The minute we sat down at our table, 2 out of the 3 other available tables were assigned to walk-ins. The third table remained empty through the night. By the way, there was no room in the bar to wait either: again two seats were “reserved” at the bar and almost concurrently with our table being “ready” the two seats were filled out. The appearance of being booked solid is a facade to create some sort of bizarre hype at a mom and pop operation. Parking is difficult, yet there is an empty parking lot right next door which is not available to restaurant patrons. No valet parking option either. The place is loud with the most annoying playlist. Portions are tiny: $27 terrible vegetarian antipasto served in four, 2 inch diameter plates (reminded me of “feeding” my dolls as a toddler). Appetizers were good taste and size wise (Broccolini Cesare and Burrata Salad). The main course pastas came in in appetizer size plates...really??? Our conversations kept being interrupted by numerous staff members who also couldn’t keep tabs of which dish was for whom. After we had ordered dessert (an ok Panacotta with nice berries and caramelized pistachios), our pleasant waitress brought in tiramisu as a courtesy. Though the gesture is appreciated, at that point nothing would make up for the nastiest of experiences. $182 dollar skimpy pasta dinner for 3 (no drinks), no ambiance, no parking and the nastiest of attitudes. Who needs that when there are numerous other options around? We are locals and know what to expect.
If you haven’t experienced the tasting menu here, you haven’t lived! I felt like I was in Italy. All of the courses were spectacular, and even though we were ready to expload, we couldn’t leave one bite on the plate. I was able to experience the pasta with beets that I wouldn’t have ever ordered, and it was heavenly. The burrata sends you to Cinque Terre, just splurge you deserve it!!
Thank you for a great evening! We ordered the Chefs tasting menu to share with friends and it was amazing! Each dish was delish and it included our favorite polenta appetizer. Service is outstanding and the atmosphere is intimate and inviting. Love Macchialina, our local neighborhood gem! Be prepared $$$$, slightly over the top for regular dining.

The wait staff was friendly and professional, and the dining area was visually appealing. The food was plated very well and tasted delicious. I would most certainly return for another meal and recommend this restaurant to friends.
