Stayed at this B&B and were so pleased with the food we enjoyed at breakfast that we booked a dinner here for our anniversary. I'd go back just for the corn meal pancakes with lemon butter and blackberries or their their corn, clam chowder! All our food was perfectly cooked. Server was distracted and slow. Staff shortage perhaps? You do not have to stay at this B&B to have a good, reasonably priced breakfast here. There seemed to be few places for breakfast in the town of Mendocino.

Excellent summer menu for 2025. The polenta croutons were a surprise and delicious. Crisp exterior and soft center; Fantastic!

We went with our friends and enjoyed dining in the cafe. We could easily converse, and the staff was attentive. The food was (as always) delicious. My husband and I shared the market seafood (scallops) and the Mary's fried chicken and a caprese salad. Our friends both enjoyed the nightly noodle special. Drinks were spot on, too. We are locals and love the Mac House, as we affectionally call you :) Cheers

We sat on their beautiful porch. The food was good, but not fabulous enough to justify the prices. You’re paying for atmosphere.

We had a wonderful experience at the McCallum House. The food and service were outstanding. Our experience there complemented the overall wonderful time we had for our two days in Mendocino—a lovely little town with pleasant people and an incredible ambiance and views. Thank you!

The four of us had terrific meals—no complaints except that we all cleaned our plates and had no room for dessert. The waiter was phenomenal too. My partner and I have stayed and eaten there a few years ago and loved it, so I recommend eating there and it was a memorable meal for all of us. Keep up the great work!

MacCallum House is a grand dame of Mendocino. Historic and stunning. Dining there has always been on my list when visiting, but this time it was beyond fabulous. Our server was amazing. Dishes were inventive, but not fussy. Flavors added to each other. Ingredients were fresh and delicious. We had the clams appetizer (be sure to mix in the saffron tapenade on the toast!), duck breast (my husband is very picky and raved about its preparation and taste), and the filet mignon steak (done to perfection and could almost cut it with a fork!). Wine selection, cocktails and the desserts rounded out the experience. Of course, sitting on of the cozy rooms in this historic house (with a small fire going) added incredible ambience. BE SURE TO MAKE RESERVATIONS and ENJOY!

We sat on the front porch with our little Havanese dog sitting between us for our 40th Anniversary celebration dinner. We sipped a complimentary glass of sparkling wine while looking over the menu. A cup of delicious soup started our meal followed by scallops for my husband and filet of beef for me. It was a delightful experience with fabulous food and wine. It was a Happy Anniversary for us !!
