Macarena Tapas is a casual Spanish eatery that serves both traditional as well as innovative contemporary dishes. The restaurant has an intimate ambiance that makes it a great place for a romantic date or a relaxed dinner. Owner and Chef John Borras is particular about using high-quality ingredients to serve guests the best of Spanish flavors. Macarena Tapas also features a full-service bar.

The menu at Macarena Tapas features a wide range of both cold and hot tapas. Popular cold tapas dishes include garlic potato salad, classic Spanish marinated scallop and shrimp salad and a platter of cured Serrano ham, sausage, Manchengo cheese and olives. Some of the recommended hot tapas selections include classic Spanish-style meatballs with tomato sauce and artisan white cheese, mussels in a spicy tomato-based sauce and crab cakes topped with Asian coleslaw and paprika aioli sauce.

Food was delicious. We asked for 1 item without honey due to an allergy & it came w honey. We had to send 1 item back due to being cold. Food comes out very slowly. Once you get it, it's tasty!

Macarena Tapas is Naperville's best kept secret! Delicious tapas with lots of seafood options too! I especially love the scallops wrapped in bacon and the crab cakes! They also have some vegetarian options too, such as potato salad, hummus, plantains and mac and blue cheese. Also, they offer a 30% discount on food for teachers! Love love love this place!

This restaurant was absolutely spectacular! The service was excellent the food was exquisite, each plate we ordered had such flavor, and we continue to talk about it up to this day! We definitely are planning our next visit as soon as we possibly can. The owner, John, what is so accommodating, friendly and nice, and our server assisted one of the people in our party to all of the vegetarian options available without hesitation. Their sangria was amazing and they even had nonalcoholic sangria, which I thought had alcohol in it! How many places can you go and get and nonalcoholic great tasting drink? I highly recommend visiting there! Once you go there one time, I promise you will be a regular!! Go there and tell him Angie, The designer and Donna sent you! We had such a great, pleasurable, relaxing experience that was so needed, thank you John And your amazing team!

The food was terrific and the drinks were outstanding. The service was a little spotty. Our waiter was very friendly and we really liked him. His only shortcoming was he kept forgetting our water or our bread or little things like that. We really enjoyed our night and will definitely go back.

This is one of our favorite spots. Anytime we take friends there for the first time, they love it and say they will return. The food is great, and the chef/owner is always adding something new. The service is awesome too! If you frequent the restaurant, they treat you like family.

We love the food here!! The goat cheese croquettes are sooo good. Pork medallions also a favorite. Sangria is great too!! They offer discounts to teachers or school district employees too.

The food was fabulous, great wine selections and the atmosphere was so warm and welcoming. The owner even stopped by our table to say hello. Only weird thing is when we were sat at a table, we were given water and bread, then no one came past our table to take our order or even a drink order for almost 30 minutes. But once we got past that it was wonderful!
