Loved it! The drinks are spectacular. Food was excellent.
Delicious food, exquisite cocktails. My hostess was wonderful, great energy and was very attentive with requests.
Delicious food and drinks!
Always a great night at Macao with crafted cocktails and good food!
Went with our 6 yr old. While we liked the food, the African pork poring chicken and the Macanese lobster were fantastic, as was the eggplant, pie 6yr oof had the fried chicken & port dumplings and got very sick a couple of hours later from it. Not sure if it was a bad batch, as the adults did not try the dumplings. Maybe not for kids?
Celebration of friendship
We went for dinner on a Friday and were quite impressed by the decor style and the dark lighting however when we sit at the table noticed it was quite dark even to read the menu, which btw was quite short in term of options. The food was good but yet not super impressive and the worse was the noise level which make difficult to keep a normal conversation. Overall a good place to be with friends or so but not for special occasions.
it is to commercial, they try to get as many rounds possible on a hugh amount of tablels fro the room. Oysters were realy bad; all in all by far not worth it.
The food was great. The atmosphere was good. The service was poor.
Great restaurant. Great service, vibrant atmosphere, clean, and professional. My only qualm is that the prices are a bit high, especially for their mixed drinks...$17 for a watered down mixed drink :-(
The lobster noodles and cocktails are to die for ! The rest is ok
Fun and tasty. We went in not knowing what we were going to experience and we were certainly pleasantly surprised
One of our neighborhood favorites! Unique and delicious food with cool ambience and great service.
The restaurant was nice and good service, however the food was lacking any sort of taste. It looked good in presentation but fell extremely short when you ate it.
Went here for dinner with a friend. It has a fun vibe and the food was delicious. I read other reviews saying it was overpriced but we ordered 2 appetizers, fried rice, a salad and 2 drinks and it was filling and came out to about $100 pre-tip. The food was good and to me, the prices are standard for a trendy NYC restaurant. I would go back!
It took 20 minutes to get chicken and it was covered in sause that I don’t like same as the ribs. The waiter asked everyone for the drink except for me this was very pricy and the food was bad this turned out to not be a special occasion as it was supposed to be and it was very noisy . This is I don’t recommend this place
I live around the corner and apparently this place is a hidden gem I had never heard of before - now that I know I will DEFINITELY be back. The food was unique and delicious, as were the drinks. The place has a great ambience too and even a bar downstairs to transition from dinner to your Saturday night out.
The appetizers were the star of the show. The entrées were pricey and smallish. Great place for cocktails and nibbles. Too loud for serious conversation in the dining room.
A gem. Terrific service and food, awesome interior space
service was friendly and professional but painfully slow. took over 45 minutes to get our cocktails and one of the cocktails came in broken martini glass. decor is exceptional but the noise level is uncomfortable.
Great ambiance here and our drinks were unique and delicious. We had the truffle croquettes. I recommend getting them.
Food was ok but way too expensive for what it is. I would go back if the entrees were priced around $25.
Great service, amazing food and very cool atmosphere. We are at Macao once before and was even more impressed this time. We will definitely be going again soon!
Service with attitude. Food just fine. Bar seems nice and popular.
Service was horrible. Their bathroom is very disgusting. Waited over 25 minutes to get the waiter attention and a drink. Not to mention the restaurant was completely empty. Service was terrible. Definitely not worth the $500 meal we had.
Totally unexpected based on the look of the outside door.
Great food and different menu.
Cool interior design.
great setting but very pricey for good but no great food
Simply the best sticky ribs I’ve had. Funky but not pretentious. They were very thoughtful to us as it was our 20th anniversary. A class act. Will be back.
Delicious food and drinks!
Unbelievable experience. One of the finest meals that I have ever had. The Lobster Noodles are incredible.
Strange but I had been to this place twice before and I don't remember it being so expensive. The food is ok and the atmosphere is great -- but the prices are completely outrageous for what it is.
I was visiting New York with friends and was asked to recommend a good restaurant. MTC was the first that came to mind. I had several great meals there when I lived in the city and it was an even better experience with a group of out-of-towners. I'm hard to please and I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is good, the drinks are great and the servers are phenomenal. My party was so impressed that we agreed to plan a group trip to Macau.
Amazing service!! Food was delicious and very cool. I’ve. Definitely coming back!!!
We were sat in the basement where there’s no ambiance
Great Chinese food
Literally one of the best restaurants in NYC! Everything from the ambiance to cocktails to food to service was top notch! I can’t wait to come back and have more amazing meals and fun nights here! Our waiter Dan was also incredible!!!
Exactly what I hoped for and more. Excellent food, service, ambiance for a night out on my birthday. Place is fun, the staff is lovely and beautiful and there's dancing downstairs! So happy I chose Macao.
The chicken and pork dumplings where amazing and the lobster noodles even more.
Dumplings and lobster noodles were amazing!
