M Waterfront Grille Ratings and Reviews
We enjoyed our meal at M Waterfront Grill very much. We had corvina and it was excellent and had a wonderful sauce. The service was good although we did have to ask twice for some things. Our request to sit outside by the window was honored and we would come here again.
Sadly, they managed to ruin my Valentines Day dinner. I made reservations well a month before the date only to be seated outside (never asked about it) close to the very loud bar. Food was mediocre, service was a bonus ( my appetizer plates were never cleaned from the table). As I was leaving told the manager (what a joke they call her that) Jennifer how unhappy I was to have her shrug and roll her eyes at me. STAY AWAY FAR AWAY
Went here for Valentine’s Day. Happy Hour at the bar first with great deals on drinks and appetizers. Then had the most delicious swordfish I have ever had, and I’ve had a lot. The chef will cook any way you want, pescatarian, vegetarian, vegan, etc. Service and view were excellent. Highly recommend and would go back in a heartbeat!
Based on reviews and descriptions of the M Grille, I decided to book our Valentine’s Day dinner. My wife and I weren’t disappointed at all with the overall results and enjoyment: the menu choices, including terrific appetizers, wine and Champagne selection, service, location and ambiance. We highly recommend this restaurant, which is only a 15 minute drive from our Hotel in the center of Naples.
We dined for lunch on Valentine's Day. We had a table with a waterfront view, but if/when we go back, we would ask for a table on the Terrace, which we were not offered (and there was plenty of room). We had excellent service (sorry, cannot remember his name). The food was good, my scallops were awesome! We were relieved this restaurant did not have a "special" VD menu, as another restaurant we always went to did. (T-Michael's had RIDICULOUSLY high lunch prices... apparently, they used their "special" Valentine's Day menu all day. The place was almost empty!)
Everything about our dining experience at M Waterfront Grille was perfect! (I rarely can say that about a dining experience.). Our reservation was honored immediately when we arrived....did not have to wait at the bar for our table to be ready & we were offered the option of booth or table. Our server was attentive & friendly. The menu included lots of options and the nightly special of corvina was delicious and accompanied by fresh seasonal veggies. The bottle of wine that we ordered was excellent! I was most impressed to receive a follow up call the following morning to thank me for our patronage & inquire if everything had been to our satisfaction. I do believe that that was a first!!! We have dined at Open Table restaurants all across the US and the Caribbean and have never received a follow up call. Bravo M Waterfront Grille!! I had been there before & definitely would return.
We went there for lunch on Sunday, 2:30 in the afternoon, seating promptly at a lovely outside quiet table. Beautiful view! Service was non-existent at first, people getting waited first that were seated after us. We were told our massive delay was do to a shift change. Once that passed, the service was quite good. The menu was only brunch! 2:30 in the afternoon! We were told that was the menu until 4:00. I could not order anything off the limited menu. My companion had a salmon dish on special, it was definitely a brunch portion, but said it was OK, but left hungry.. I only wanted a filet or chicken but I could not get it, so I had steak (Ny Strip), minus the eggs and was only able to substitute French fries for the American fries (hash browns). Again, definitely a brunch portion, but ended up being quite tough. We each had a drink, my companion had a Bloody Mary which was advertised as coming with shrimp and Gorgonzola stuffed olives. He was told no shrimp available and had only one olive and it was still the same price. The man that brought out the food, knocked our table so hard that the silverware fell to the ground and we waited over 5 minutes for a new set. When we first received our food a manager came over, which was nice, she asked how we were enjoying our brunch, but hesitated, almost as she was afraid of our answer, left the table without a full answer from us. We have been there numerous times before for happy hour and for dinner, we have never had an unpleasant experience like this before. Lastly, I received a notice from OpenTable that we were a no show and had to go through the hassle of proving we were there, even after we checked in at the hostess stand and we indeed did have a reservation!
We went for Sun. brunch, partially due to seeing chicken & waffles on the menu. We arrived just after opening & were advised they were out of this option. The
outdoor seating & the service were excellent but this was a disappointment. We own a restaurant in another state & would never let this happen. However, I'm certain we will try M Waterfron Grille again.
The happy hour is nice. We had the shrimp and crab spring rolls and the Prince Edward Island mussels...all very rich and all very good.
For dinner we had the caramelized diver scallops, and the fish special for the day and both were fabulous. We have dined here 4 times and love the views and food and have always had good service.
We were slightly disappointed in our food. The fish in one of our dishes was rubbery, maybe overdone. Fish in two of the other dishes was tender but not very flavorful, until you combined it with the other elements on the dish, which were excellent! This was surprising mostly because we had their fish special for the night, which I normally expect to be the best dish available. I have to admit we all ate our food; it just was not at the level I expected.
Another note is that the white wine was served lukewarm, instead of chilled.
We had a lovely meal outside on the terrace, with pretty views of the water. This is a great place to dine when the weather is nice. They have indoor dining as well. Our fish dishes were fresh and perfectly cooked. The side of cravable roasted brussel sprouts could feed a family of 4.
The only disappointment for the evening was the $4 charge on our bill for club soda to clean a spot on my husband's shirt. That's a first for us in 35 years of dining together.
