M Waterfront Grille Ratings and Reviews
as always the food and setting were great. go at a time when you can see the water. service was ok but waitress was new. she had a great personality but needs to work on attentional to details. for example ordered a ginger beer with ice and lime. got the soda and glass but no ice and no lime. she had a great personality and just needs time to grow into job. would strongly recommend this establishment and have eaten here before 3 or 4 times although not from this area. This place is classy but not stuffy and casual wear is no problem. varied menu leaning toward fish but has something for everybody. without giving out the secret if you order the shrimp cocktail, you determine the number of large shrimp, you will be amazed at the way it is presented. Great Place!
Very nice happy hour, especially on Wed when all drinks are 1/2 price until 6Pm, and the bar menu is 25% off (even on the front veranda)! Food is excellent for dinner, but pricey. Service has always been outstanding. New England Clam Chowder is amazing but very filling so be forewarned. Grouper and Veal are always great.
The view was lovely and service was fine, but the food was disappointing. The burrata in the burrata salad was non-existent, and the grouper, although fresh, looked poached - no sear marks - totally unappealing. The accompanying vegetables apparently had the same sauce as was used on my husband's veal dish. Spring rolls were very good, but unfortunately not enough to make up for the rest of the meal.
Our family was visiting for Thanksgiving weekend, so we took the 3 grandkids and their parents to M Waterfront. Our waiter, Christine, could not have been better. She was right there for special requests, knew the menu, suggested courses and was helpful with the kids order. The food was excellent, I had the diver scallops and shared the tuna tartare appetizer. Others had the seafood grouper, buillebasse. Everyone was very pleased. The guys liked the creamy clam chowder.
The prices are a little high, even for Naples, but we will return.
We sat at a table in the bar area. It was during happy hour yet our server did not want to give us info on happy hour specials.
She could have had a warmer personality to make us feel welcome. Food was good, we enjoyed the steak and the sourdough bread was delicious, a little pricey though.
I have been to M Waterfront Grill on a number of occasions. It is my neighborhood go to restaurant when I want to sit along the water and grab a bite. However, on this occasion, we decided to have Thanksgiving dinner there. Never again. The restaurant seemed overwhelmed, the service was scarce, and the food was mediocre at best. I even had to send my dinner back because it was not even warm. A manager came to out table, asked if everything was OK after they brought my reheated dinner out, and said he would check back with us after dinner. We never saw him again! Who needs to spend a fair amount of money, especially on a holiday, for such a lousy experience.
We came for the Thanksgiving dinner. We were seated right on time, in a lovely, private booth. The portions of the turkey were generous and the meal was a bargain at $29. I would have liked a few more vegetables (there was only a tablespoon given). Overall, the meal was delicious, promptly served, warm and well-presented. The wait staff was very attentive without being overbearing. We will definitely come back for the regular menu and perhaps Christmas or New Year's because it was very festive. Thank you!
Outstanding dining experience. Brunch menu offers luncheon items but check on line first, as there are only a few to choose from. Delicious coffee cake precedes the meal. One of us enjoyed the tasty but not greasy fish and chips; the other the New England lobster salad--no skimping on the lobster with generous and varied veggies, mandarin oranges atop the greens. Schedule early for a windowside table.
AS always M Waterfront did not disappoint us. The food was fabulous. I had the Diver Scallops and they melted in my mouth. My husband had the Chicken which fell right off the bone and was very juicy. We both had the soup which was a Carrot Ginger. YUM! The only down side was our waiter who was very nice was not very present. I would have gotten dessert but he disappeared and we needed to leave. Will return again though.
Lovely spot on the water! I ordered the Bento Box with a half a tuna sandwich (delish on whole grain bread), soup of the day (carrot ginger) , fresh green salad and fresh fruit. PERFECT! Good food and a great place for outdoor dining. After a meal one can walk around the neat shops. Beautiful at Christmas...
I took my girlfriend for dinner on her birthday and we were disappointed. We both ordered steak, mine med-rare, hers med-well. Both came out med-rare. When the steaks were brought to the table (not by our waitress) no steak knives were given, so the person who brought the food said she would go get knives, and never returned. after 3-4 minutes I flagged down a bus boy who got us some knives. Then it took a few more minutes for our waitress to come by to check on us, for my girlfriend to be able to send back the steak to be cooked a little longer. (for a $45 steak this was a disappointment, and I was not happy that this happened on her B-day) So by the time hers came out and we were able to eat together, mine was ice cold... The one positive was they did give her a free piece of key lime pie for her B-day (but this was not to apologize for the mistake, but just a standard complementary policy on customers birthdays) It was a nice token, however it would have been nice if they asked what her preference was as she is not a fan of key lime pie. Never the less it was free so no big deal, I just ate it instead.
All in all I would not go back.
