The food was good. The appetizer portions were huge. Ask for a half order unless you are sharing one appetizer among four or more diners. The hostess went above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of.
We love M Street Kitchen- always crowded because people enjoy the food and the service! Our experience on 3/11 was slower than usual (2 hours) and there was an unexplained disparity on our bill, but overall it was a pleasant brunch.
We really enjoy M street!!
Service was slow
Brunch was delightful. The menu had a great selection, and the price was right, too. Loved dining outdoors as well
We arrived right at the end of happy hour, so we were able to order the pulled chicken nachos we have had many times before and raved about. They arrived with no chicken, dried up salsa, just awful. Top layer of guacamole, cheese, sour cream and almost nothing else—both orders.
We were all so hungry we just ate them anyway.
The burgers (veggie and beef) were very good, the chicken also good...but those nachos! What happened you guys??!!
The food was good with generous portions.
Quite a scene.
Great food and great service.
I loved this place! It was the perfect spot for a Sunday brunch with the girls. The staff was incredible. I would definitely recommend this place to others and I hope to be back soon!
We love the restaurant group that owns M Kitchen but this place was a big NO. We arrived 10 minutes prior to our reservation but had to wait almost 30 minutes to get seated. The college-aged hostesses had no interest in helping the guests or seating us. They were deeply involved in a "what I did Saturday night conversation". They were almost but not quite rude to my face (there was eye-rolling for sure). Our server was the worst yet - - if I could have rated him lower than poor I would have. He took 10+ minutes to greet us and then longer to bring our drinks back. Our appetizer arrived AFTER we had finished our entrees and he didn't even take it off the bill. We had to ask other servers to get us drink refills and our check. When we paid he said it was "impossible to use a gift card at brunch". We asked for a manager and he immediately figured out that he COULD use it after all. Food was good especially the turkey sandwich combo with the cauliflower mac & cheese. All ingredients were quality and everything was prepared properly. Even the late arrival nachos were good. Limited beer list. Inside is underwhelming - outside is super nice although the tables are close (very) together. We may try it again but it was super stressful.
We had a great brunch. The Santa Monica Omelette with English muffin was amazing!!!
good food and vibe and good drinks. Unfortunately a little too loud.
Mediocre food, wonderful waitress who was helpful, attentive and great with three young children. But our salads were almost undressed, one kids’ grilled cheese bland and unattractive - the fries were pretty good though! A busy place so crowded and loud.
After reading reviews we tried M Kitchen. The service was decent but the food was not good. I ordered eggs Benedict and the dish arrived cold. The English muffin and ham were tough. We will not return.
Great service and nice to sit outside as had a dog with us and not too cold evening though a cool evening as they have heaters
Our family feels at home when we are at M Street. The staff is friendly and the food is great. They always make the most comfortable accommodations for my daughter who is in a wheelchair.
Rosie was a wonderful and attentive server! Salads were delicious .
Visiting LA and feel lucky to have found this gem! Everything was delicious and the service was friendly and competent.
I’m a native Chicagoan whose been spoiled by decades of Rich Melman / Lettuce .... Restaurants in Chicago and at M Street. This restaurant is an embarrassment to all that Rich Melman has pioneered since his 20’s. Who ever is running M Street needs to go back to the school of Rich Melman...
Great value happy hour food and drinks and kids menu. Good for families.
Food was OK although we’d dined there for breakfast and that seemed way better.
We like this place a lot. We especially enjoy it for a Sunday brunch. The food is always quite fresh and delicious. We like the patio (much quieter than inside). Great on a sunny day. The Ahi tuna sandwich is particularly flavorful—a bit difficult to eat as it’s quite big! Refreshing cocktails as well. We’ll definitely be back.
This place never disappoints. Food is always delicious. Service is great, as is the ambiance. Can’t wait to go back.
This is our second time at this restaurant. They honored our reservation in spite of being crowded. Appreciated. Food was excellent. We had brunch and I had a Mexican fixings over home fries and it was great. My wife had eggs and sausage. She complained that the sausage was too spicy. Latte was great too. An informal hot spot.
The only problem with M Street is the extremely limited menu.
Bad night @ M Street. Server was in another world and forgot to place the first order of food. Next thing we know, there are 9 plates on a tiny 4 top table because the apps and entrees came out at the same time. No explanation, just tried to play it off as normal. Manager finally came over and made the situation right but it just kind of all sucked this night. Too many other good places in the neighborhood.
We celebrated my friend’s birthday as well as belated Christmas gift exchange. The food was good and our waiter started out attentive but that changed when he got busy. We had to flag him down to put in our order which was frustrating. All else was fine and the restaurant did give my friend a birthday treat.
Great service and great food!! I can’t brag enough! I always have good time and amazing food!
The Breakfast food was great... but don't come here for Bloody Mary's... their "home mix" is extremely bland, basically tomato juice and vodka, not worth the money, nothing special there.
This place is always busy. Sometimes too busy, and I don’t wait it out. Food was good. It’s a little loud, but was fine.
Absolutely loved and enjoyed it! Highly recommend and will definitely go back!
Food was great. Service was good. Sat outside. Notably too many ill mannered dogs. Not the dogs fault. Owners put dogs in a situation where they were scared because of the traffic and people in an unfamiliar setting.
As usual, having a frequent Sunday breakfast/brunch was awesome! No complaints ever... except it would be great if the condo building owners would allow Lettuce Entertain You restuarant M Street Kitchen to install some more permanent patio sunshades.
Incredible food, service and setting. Can't ask for better in LA.
The day I went, the service and the food were not to the usual standard. The burrito was burnt and tasteless. Unimpressive.
Great family’s get together spot! Kids loved it and adults had a great time!
M street is a fave go to bkfst spot.
The service and ambiance were fantastic, and the food was delicious.
The bartender didn’t know how to make a specifc from that was requested. Instead of asking he made it, we tried It, thought It was gross, sent It back for a new one. They dumped the original drink in half into another cup and added more beer and brought it back to the table.
Tortilla chips were stale.
Seriously bad. Will never go back.
Food was average nothing really wrong just not standout but the lighting was very poor, we had to get our phones out to read the menu and see the food, even the wait staff had to do the same to show someone on the next table what was what on the menu.
