We had good food and good services at the M Street Bar and grill. The ingredients were fresh. The service was exceptional, being friendly without being too familiar. One thing that could be a downside is the somewhat limited wine list. Another is the somewhat high prices for the alcoholic beverages. The food prices were quite reasonable for the quality of the food, so that made up for it for us.

Set in the St. Gregory hotel, we had a great table in front of the fireplace......although 5 minutes into the meal, I wish I was more cold-natured. Service was attentive and friendly. Sandwiches were tasty, but loved the sweet potato fries.

Judging from previous reviews, I had been wanting to go to this restaurant for months. I'm not as sold on it as those reviewers, but we enjoyed a nice lunch with generous portions of very good food.

M Street Bar & Grill does a pre-fix menu for brunch. The location is easy to get to, just a 10 min walk from the Dupont Circle metro. We were seated in the solarium area and we had a child with our group, which the staff accommodated very well.

Mimosas are unlimited, and the waitress didn't let the glasses run empty. There are great choices for the appetizer - the best was the veggie quiche. There are also a variety of options for the main dish, and they were able to fulfill the requests of our vegetarian dinners. There is also a dessert for the 3rd course, which none of us had room for, but the staff provided us with desserts to go. The only issue we faced with a group was the number of checks they were able to split the bill.

Although we were expecting a buffet brunch, the item selections from the menu were adequate. We DID leave very full!!.

The mimosas were perfectly measured and our glasses were kept full. The seafood soup was good. I would only suggest a little more seasoning and a lot less corn.

The jazz was fantastic!!! We would return to M Street Bar and Grill as long as Isack is not our waiter/server (very little eye contact and no smiles at all).

Had a business lunch and it was a good setting for this. Not crowded and could talk easily. At first walking in did not realize dining was up a half level.

I made a reservation for 12. I was pleasantly surprised when instead of seating us in the restaurant and bar we were seated in a private section. Ours is a group of mainly retirees who get together twice a year and let's just say while not rowdy we aren't exactly quiet either. The restaurant was very accommodating and the service was excellent.

3 course brunch didn't make sense. appetizer choices didn't fit with breakfast main dishes, which in turn didn't fit with desert.

Pancakes were especially good.

Had 11am reservation for this "jazz" brunch, but music didn't start til noon (as we were leaving)

At $28/head plus tip, it was over-priced.

Yikes - so dead I could hear my heart beating.
Menu was basic and taste/presentation came from a novice kitchen
Extremely overpriced.

They had a big group so the food took a long time to come out. However, the food was very good.

I went here for Sunday Brunch. The service was excellent. The place was charming with a nice live piano music. The food was very good and my glass of Mimosa always full. I gotta say my Benedict eggs are not the best I had ever had in town, however, overall the food was very good and I would definitely recommend this place. The price is worth it.

The food was hot, came fast and flavorful. Bottomless mimosas were offered with the brunch special and I did not have to ever ask for a refill. The service was great!!

Good variety on the happy hour menu. Food was fairly delicious but nothing too special. Service was slow, might have just been that night we went. Went with a group of 12 on a Friday night. Food took a while to come out, but our waitress seemed inattentive in general.

My husband and I bought the Capitol Deal at M Street Bar & Grill. We had a pleasant quick meal there.
It is certainly a good place for groups, there were 2 large groups there celebrating and it was fun to see them having a great time with one another. We chose to come for a quick after work happy hour together, we enjoyed and will be back. The appetizers and drinks we had were delicious.

I read great reviews for brunch, however there was nothing great in rhe menu. I think people like the fact that mimosas are being served like water.

This restaurant is particularly good when you have a group of people with diverse eating needs-- gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan, can all be readily accommodated. The dinner menu's an upgrade from lunch, which makes it a little more special. Our dinner this week was particularly good. Four very different appetites found a satisfying choice and ate all of it. The service was attentive and professional, as always.

I went with a group for Saturday brunch. We were running a bit late and the maître d' was very accommodating and help our table without hesitation. The food itself was very good, although the appetizers (salad, soup or chips) weren't really what I wanted to eat for brunch. The main dishes (chicken and waffles) and dessert (raspberry sorbet) were both very good. Our server was fantastic and our mimosas never got more than half empty before he was back to refill them. Overall the experience was great and we will definitely be back.

Manager and server were very accommodating with our shifting numbers during dinner. Didn't balk at processing multiple credit cards at the end of the night.

It was Wednesday so we had 50% off our bottles of wine. Guacamole and hummus starters were tasty. Mains were ok -- nothing too special.

Overall I would recommend it -- especially on Wednesdays!
