Saturday brunch for 7 family & friends. The place was basically empty the whole time, which lead to us having great service. Price Fixe ($30) for 3 course brunch, including bottomless Mimosas. Everyone got something different and everyone loved their choice. Mimosas were perfectly balanced and the coffee was great, too. Final bill of $268 included taxes + 20% gratuity (for groups over 6).
Very nice for $30 bottomless Mimosa brunch! Food was pretty good accompanied by good service.
My family had reservations for the mothers day brunch. Little did we know that we would be having brunch in the conference room of the attached hotel instead of in the restaurant. The food was okay....not bad but not the best. Service was slow. They needed more waiters. My husband and I gasped when we saw the amount of the bill which automatically included 20% gratuity. Worse value for the price. Will never return.
I have brunch here wth friends and family. It's set for any age group and audience. I can't wait to return.
The Champagne brunch was very nice and i like that for different occasions they change the menu up. It was a little breakfast centric so i would have liked to see more variety there. My only complaint was that the piano downstairs was WAY too loud and we would not sit near it because we couldnt talk.
Mimosas were great accompanied with some good tasting food, limited selection but tasty... Definitely do again!
Went there for a quick meal but the server seemed to always be busy with other tables. So the food came to us late and not spaced very well. The food was passable, but the service could have been better.
We are visiting DC and after a long day of walking and site seeing we were looking for a fun, yummy dinner. M Street Bar and Grill was pretty empty. The service was great and friendly and all 3 of us loved our dishes. We would definitely eat here again.
I hadn't visited this restaurant before but am glad I did. The service was very good, lunch was delicious and best of all, it was quiet enough that we could have a conversation. I will be back.
was not hot and the server barely offered water. Also, I had to look for him for the check.
Excellent food and service. Cocktails are amazing !!! Definitely coming back more often, especially for Happy Hour!!!
Absolutely disgusting.
Poor customer service, and they don't honor what they have published on their very own website. They were going to add 20% automatic gratuity to my party, however their website says 18%. Their website says a la carte menu options are available during their Sunday brunch, however they tried to make my group automatically order the brunch option only. I will never go back their again.
Miriam and Isaac, our two servers have been working there forever and are some of my fave people in the city. Def get seated in their sections!
We went here to a restaurant at the St. George hotel. We though it was a different restaurant with a similar name and were very pleasantly surprised. You won't find any big write ups for this place, but it is certainly worth a visit if you are near 20th and M Streets. Our waiter was from Bangledesh, and he could not have been more accommodating. We were very happy with the experience.
I am very impressed with M Street Bar and Grill. We went for the bottomless mimosa brunch for $30/a head and were truly impressed with the innovative menu and strong drinks. Don't think that this place is just about the boozy drinks, the food really does take center stage! I was thoroughly impressed and will be back soon! Thank you for a great meal with exemplary service!
A group of my friends and I went to M Street Bar for brunch and it was a great experience! Our food was great, the mimosas were amazing and it wasn't too crowded! Our service could have been a little better, we would have to ask for a refill on the mimosa, but outside of that, it was really good. I would recommend this restaurant for brunch for sure.
Excellent food, reasonably priced, pleasant experience. Would absolutely go back. Service was great.
I love the 3 course brunch. It was amazing. I wish they would update their brunch times to reflect the appropriate times for brunch. We were cut short on the bottomless mimosa, which was upsetting.
We sat at a table for 2 right in front of the fireplace, very romantic, service was great, food was delicious, especially the quino salad.
The food was amazing. I got the steak frites and they were amazing .
I went here for my 27th birthday this past Sunday and had reservations for 8 people at 1pm. It was snowing, so many of my guests were running late and weren't going to make it. I was worried the restaurant wouldn't seat those of us that were there because more than half of my party wasn't there. Luckily, the restaurant was very accommodating and still seated us and as my friends showed up, they gave them menus. That was great!
The food came out of the kitchen relatively quick. It was good and they give a lot of food! The bottomless mimosas were excellent! I was expecting to hear a jazz band/music as it is advertised, but instead there was an acoustic guitar player who only played a few songs and then left. That was a little disappointing because I was looking forward to hearing live jazz music. But nevertheless, I enjoyed my birthday brunch at this restaurant and the ambiance/decor. Will definitely go again!
(Tip: If you have a large party, they will only split the check 3 ways, so be sure to notify your party in advance!)
The food came out very fast 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Great food and it is the perfect atmosphere for conversation, whether it is business or personal. Definitely my favorite place for lunch!
I've been here before for brunch with a group of friends so I decided to try again. The food was not that great this time around. Nice area and location. I'm sure it's convenient for the guests who stay at the hotel. Service was ok.
Food delicious, service great but not intrusive, quiet enough for a lunch meeting. I Loved it and want try dinner there, next. I chose it for the ambiance, as I wanted a place where my colleague and I could talk, that was attractive, convenient and would have attentive service.
Great spot! Loved the vibe - very chic and it was nice to sit upstairs by the window. The service was good. I enjoyed the bottomless mimosas. The price was great. The chicken and waffle was ok - I've had better but it wasn't bad at all. I'd definitely go back and try another dish. Nonetheless, everything overall was wonderful so the food wasn't a big deal. This will be one of my regular brunch spots going forward.
The crab cake was good not a true Maryland style crab cake I thought the bell peppers was a weird spin on the crab cake. If you're not use to traditional crab cakes than this crab cake is just right. (I did love the jumbo lump good amount of crab meat little filler)
Enjoyed the $5 martini at happy hour and the reasonably priced and varied menu. The calamari appetizer and pumpkin soup were excellent. Would recommend the crab cake burger with sweet potato fries.
Had a brunch with a group of 10 friends and had a great time. Awesome service and awesome food.
waitress was slow, unattentive, and very hard to find shen needed
$29 Sunday champagne brunch was a great deal. Came with salad, entree and dessert and unlimited champagne or mimosas. Left very stuffed and very tipsy. Was well worth it. I had the breakfast tacos which were very tasty.
The wings appetizer were prepared well. The crab cakes were a good choice too. Our server was a little slow, perhaps because we were one of two tables on the patio
The food great and so was the service. Unlimited mimosas are always a good thing! Great ambiance, nice and clean. Will definitely come back!
My team has lunch meetings at M Street Bar and Grill at least once a month. The atmosphere is inviting, the food consistently excellent and the service flawless. I highly recommend any of the salads or the seared salmon. A great place for lunch!
Tom was amazing! Of course I will be back.
My party ordered several different items, everything was just awesome!
My husband and I enjoyed our two entrées. I had a house special "shrimp in white wine over white rice and spinach". My husband had Chicken Marsala.
Both meals were very flavorful and nicely presented.
I do agree with previous reviewers who said that menu is extremely limited.
Although we enjoyed our meals, we will not return on our next visit to DC.
With a large group at about 1:30, the service was slow. The food wasn't as great. The mimosas were alright as well. Overall, great ambiance in regards to the seating and decor but not so stellar on the overall experience. That's ok though!
It was a great place. I sat upstairs and noticed a lot of my peers having celebrations. Brunch list was awesome so much to choose from, the food was delicious and made in good time. Finally the mimosas kept coming for the 3 course brunch. I loved the dessert cupcakes as a desset like that is hard to come by. Great place and service.
Never disappoints. Great lunch, brunch and greatly priced dinner. Great neighborhood hang out.
