M ST. Cafe Ratings and Reviews
Primary issue was there should have been one more server for the New Year Day brunch. The waiting time for the prime rib was running very slow. We were a group of ten but could not get seating together even with us setting up the reservations back in September.
Was looking for a brunch location before a matinee at the Ordway. Found their brunch menu online, and the buffet option offered something for everyone in my group, including a picky teenager. We loved it. The food and service were excellent, and we were able to carry on a conversation because the sound level was conducive. We will definitely go there again. The tomato bisque was amazing, and the cold buffet was beautiful and delicious. Even the desserts were good, and I am not often impressed by restaurant desserts.
We have been attendng this brunch for several years and although good for the most part, it’s the same menu every time. Suggestions are to start serving organic food, more gluten free options without charging the customer higher rates for gluten-free bread and turkey sausage, which is ridiculous, also serving a general beverage with the meal complementary. For my husband and I that are gluten-free and don’t eat red meat, this is very expensive. We get a better breakfast at the Downtowner on Seventh Street for a fraction of the price.
We went for Christmas Brunch. The setting was very festive. The 22 stations were amazing. However, the food was a bit uneven. The roast beef was very tough. On the other hand, the cream of onion bisque was delicious, as were the waffles with apple and currant sauce and whipped cream, the confit of duck benedict, and the amazing raft of deserts. For 30 dollars a person, it was very reasonable and a very easy Christmas dinner.
I have taken group of people that I work with here for the past three or four years for holiday lunch. The service is always good as is the food. They do not have a huge menu, but what they do they do well. The atmosphere and decorations are very appealing.
Minute we walked in we were greeted by Todd. He was so friendly and even talked a bit with us after seating us. Rebecca knows we drink Diet Coke and brings it right when we are seated. We appreciate the special attention given. The sideboard was delicious. I usually order the Turkey Burger (favorite menu) but was happy to try something different. Thanks. Merry Christmas.
This was our second time going to the Thanksgiving brunch. Seemed like more people and longer line for the main food. The food wasn't hot and poor options for people that don't eat meat but eat fish. The salmon was good but was cooked in bacon, so she ate the shrimp from the salad bar. It would have been nice to see some different desserts. The service wasn't too good but I left 20%. I think I will cook next year.
We were celebrating my wife’s birthday. The food (Sunday brunch) was great, as were the ambience and service. There was good variety of food, from meats to salads to fruit. The desserts were just the right size for sharing. Great coffee also. The server was very attentive. Highly recommended.
We love coming here and have been for many years. 90% of the time we have no issues with staff of getting in. We have not had friendly service with the host staff a couple of times and we request our lovely waitress Florence and they said ok then we get there and end up not having her 😕 she is amazing as is many of the wait staff she just knows us well. Very friendly, menu or brunch buffet. Holidays are busy and book fast. Spring and summer weekends are weddings. Food is great for the price. Very big selection for food and desserts.
