Only improvement I would ask is that they offer grilled walleye as an alternative to breaded in the walleye sandwich. It is a very good sandwich but could be better!
It is a lovely place to have lunch after a concert.
We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. Food was OK, not outstanding, but the venue is close to the Ordway, and we are elderly.
Quiet lunch with colleagues. Kale barley soup warmed me up!
The service was good and the fruit and seafood bar were exceptional.
We were disappointed in the entree buffet. The salmon and chicken were both overcooked and dry. All of the food, which was supposed to be hot, was lukewarm. We might come there again, but would order off the menu to see if that is better.
Excellent as always.
Food quality was fantastic with quick service. They were very accommodating for our group.
Great food and Katherine is a great server . We’ll be back
Wonderful place to stop in the midst of a busy day.
Good food, efficient and friendly service, comfortable atmosphere
Great lunch and catch up with friends!
Great Sunday brunch before Ordway show!
Could be a rare occasion but for the prices they charge Our food was very mediocre. Had chicken and waffles and the chicken was over done, my wife’s omelet was Luke warn & our hash browns were cold. The host and waitress were good and provided excellent service too bad the food was so so.
Wish I had our server's name because she was fantastic. Will definitely return!
As always impeccable service and food. It was a great ending to our anniversary weekend!
The Pesto omelet is to die for.
John from Minneapolis
Great service and decor in the M St Cafe..Excellent food and setting.
There is always a fun crowd here as well. Great spot for a meal or a drink.
Super service every time! The salmon salad is outstanding.
We had Sunday Brunch. The prime rib & shrimp cocktail were outstanding. The fruit was excellent, too. The deserts were good, but I had expected something a little better from both the desserts and the pastries. We did not have an omelet, but they were making the fresh. The waffles were in a warmer so did I past on those too. I would recommend it and would go back again.
Excellent. Best waffles ever.
A very nice place for Sunday brunch with excellent food.
The food and service were both excellent. The dessert table was especially outstanding. My only very minor complaint would be that our table was right next to the salad bar. When it became busy there was a line and it felt a bit like people were peering at us as they waited. Overall it was a wonderful experience and we will definitely return.
Extemely good brunch. Everything under the sun. Probably because of having such a variety it is somewhat expensive, but worth it.
Excellent food!! Service was very good. Very pleasant atmosphere!!
Had to wait even though we had reservations. The brunch food was quite good. However the chef could not keep up. Most of the items were empty. Quite disappointing. For the cost of this brunch one should not have to go up several times to see if they placed out more food.
YES!! Excellent food, everything was tasty and well prepared — even the fruit on an off-season. Hands down one of the best brunch places in the U.S.
Great experience, amazing food, and perfect for my parents anniversary
Good food, generous portions, quiet surroundings.
We had 11 there for the Easter brunch and now 6 for Mother's day and two birthdays. It was very good and we will plan to use them again next year.
Fantastic food and wonderful service !
We love having lunch at M St. Cafe! Every time, the food is delicious, the service is paced correctly, and the atmosphere is just what we hope for!
This is the perfect restaurant for good food and a wonderful atmosphere. We could actually converse with friends and be heard. We met with folks from Norway who we had not seen in over 50 years. It was perfect. Everyone had a great time. We ate, talked and took photos. We would come back again!!!!!!!
Big open space means that there is a lot of noise in the dining area. Was hoping for a quieter dining experience. Only a few wait staff working so they were slow to remove plates from our table and refresh beverages. The buffet had a nice setup and tasty food. It is a great location if you are seeing a show at the Ordway.
We have gone to the sunday brunch many time over the last few years. we have always came away happy. But this last time the food quality was not great. Cold food and limited amounts were a problem.
The food was not very hot. And a lot was gone.
We ate at M St. Cafe for Sunday Brunch (again finally!). Quality, very tasteful food unlike most buffets in a light, elegant surrounding. I truly enjoy the ambiance which feels open as if you are in a patio setting but marble floors and rich trim with minimal if any echo enabling casual conversation. Service was excellent as usual. Prime rib was very good and I really like the lox, shrimp, and salad. The smaller, thicker waffles are fantastic and even better with either the bananas or mixed fruit on them. The bacon is a thicker cut and done just how I like. The sausage links have great seasoning and are not greasy. I did not have eggs or the made to order omelet this time, but the ingredients are fresh. There were about 6 or 7 different types of dessert and several (yep!) were impeccably done. In summary, the number of items may not be as extensive as other larger venue buffets, but there is no substitute for the quality and particular selection here as well as the setting. Highly recommended.
Appeared that the kitchen was not prepared for larger than usual Final Four brunch crowd. Kept running out of food and not enough cooks working all stations created long lines and wait times.
Everything was fine except for our wait-person. She rushed us all the way, expected us to order before we had read the menu, brought 2 glasses of ice tea to each of us when she finally brought it, gave us the bill 1/2 way through our meal, hovered until I put out the credit card. She was also in a hurry to reset the tables around us, noisily, especially with the cups and saucers. I’ve never experienced the behavior at the St. Paul Hotel, or any other restaurant, unfortunate.
Once again Florence greeted us with a big smile.
My wife had the French toast and I decided with help from our server to try the corned beef hash-a Winner.
Once again we had a most enjoyable visit!
We have always had great service (servers) and wonderful food. The hostess could use some improvement in attitude...but everything else is terrific.
