M Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
The restaurant was just ok, haven’t dined there for about 5 years and the place looks the same , getting tired and dated. We were celebrating my birthday and my daughter in law birthday. We assumed dessert was on them since all other Cameron Mitchell restaurant comp a birthday dessert. We ordered 2 and husband mentions on the way home we were charged for both. With all the great restaurants in Columbus area to choose from, will not return to M
Love M! perfect for a special occasion! Celebrating my birthday was so special with the team at M!!
Vince took great care of us when we were headed to the Palace for a show... cutting it a little close but he made sure had a very special night together anyway!! 😊🥂❤️🌈
We have been to M at Miranova many times and always come away knowing that it is on par with the top restaurants in Manhattan, Los Angeles and San Francisco. M is our go-to spot for a consistently top-drawer culinary experience in Columbus. And - when you go - ask for a table in Linda's section - she's the best! We encourage the management to refine the front desk/check-in process for arriving diners. The long-time Manager has retired (and he was seamless in diner service), and new people have taken his place - the restaurant needs a bit of refinement at this critical point to continue to insure optimal customer dining service. M receives 4 1/2 stars from us - a couple who travel frequently and have dined in top restaurants in North America for over 20 years.
We have dined here several times over the past few years and have always enjoyed great service and an excellent dinner. We love the high ceiling and the sheer curtains, which provide perfect feeling a privacy without feeling walled in. I do miss the blue lights on the curtains, but still enjoy the aesthetic and cozy effect.
Expected it to be good. Didn’t expect it to be as good as it turned out to be. Hands down one of the best meals I’ve ever had (lamb chops). Apps were great. Cocktails were great. Entrees were a little on the slow side, but were absolutely worth the wait. (Besides, this is a destination restaurant. I wouldn’t come here for a quick bite and expect to be in and out. I had no issue enjoying another cocktail and the atmosphere while we waited for the entrees.) Service was very friendly and professional, too.
I took my wife for dinner for her birthday and it was great. She really enjoyed herself. My wife is really picky when it comes to dining out but for the first time she had nothing negative to say about a place..she was impressed with everything. I would recommend this place to everybody to try out if you havent already..Great place. I will definately be back
Must say this was just the perfect spot to celebrate a 25th wedding anniversary. Have dined before and the food and service and ambiance are just always "on point." This occasion was no different. What I appreciated in particular this time around was that the portions were really ample for the quality and amount paid. My lamb chops were cooked impeccably and my wife's seared ahi tuna was by most standards a very large portion, and once again perfectly executed.
If you value great quality in an intimate setting with professional service, and don't mind paying for it, you will not be disappointed.
M was absolutely lovely. It was very open on Monday night. My wife and I were there to celebrate our anniversary. Everything was incredibly delicious and the service was wonderful. We were even given a free slice of cake to share. We will definitely be back for more intimate settings in the future! Great view of downtown as well. We are excited to sit outside once the weather warms up.
I enjoyed my visit. Josh, the waiter, was incredible. He did what he could to make us comfortable. The staff was friendly and very well groomed. The ambiance was awesome; the music was nice and I loved the lighting - it wasn't too bright but it wasn't pitch black either.
Great food, beautiful interior with skyline view, fabulous cocktails! Their mixologist , Chris, is amazing at her craft. Nothing else like it in the city! Did I mention they have happy hour 4-7 pm! Garage parking is $6 at dinner, and you can walk right into lobby from there. Valet is available as well.
Came as an out of town guest, with 15th wedding anniversary as the occasion. The food was outstanding, for someone who works in the fine dining space both nationally as well as abroad.
Weak spot was the service : I wanted a nice bottle from their cellar to pair with the food given the special occasion - the server basically told me (after some dialogue) that she had not clue one what to recommend. I don't really care if servers aren't expert wine people, but when I asked if there was a manager or sommelier I could talk to she said no. Weird for a restaurant of this calibre on a Thurs evening. Other feedback is that the decor is very 2002 - there was a large ceiling hanging vacuum over the bar (to suck up cigarette smoke). Excellent resto tho - I do recommend. As noted the food was excellent, and the niche bottle of Turley Zin was incredible.
Food was great. Our waitress was very nice but not quite on top of it. For instance 3 of our 4 drinks came (after a longer wait than I thought was normal) and my daughters split of champagne came about 10 minutes later. A few other little things like that. Not really a big deal just not up to Cameron Mitchell standards.
M truly is a remarkable dining experience, either it being casual or a special occasion they have it all. Linda our server was fantastic, great recommendations and very prompt with service. The cocktails we enjoyed were top notch. Elevated to the highest of quality. The chefs special that evening was the ruby trout, Devine, flavor and execution were perfect! The dish just melted in your mouth. I will definitely be back!
We had a dinner starting at 8:45 p.m. after a long day of meetings. We were almost the only people in the restaurant and the service was abysmal. I was so surprised. I had to enlist the help of people other than our waiter three times. The food and ambiance were very good. What a disappointment!
