Great place to visit after seeing a show at the Saenger.
I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. We had a group of 13 people for dinner. We were the first to arrive at 7:15 and literally we were the last table to be served and finally left at close to 10pm. Over three hours and we were completely ignored for almost 1 and a half hour in between. We didn't get an explanation and we only got a manager to come out at the end of the meal. The bill was 814.00 with the gratuity included and he took of 140.00. he took it off the entire bill including the gratuity. We were never told who's fault it was and the apology was very anemic - to say the least. I have never disputed a bill or left a bad review in my life. This experience was the absolute worse for our entire group! However, I would recommend Superior Sea Food in NOLA for a large group!!! Great food and Great service!!!
Had a wonderful "date night" with my husband. The food was fantastic and the jazz ensemble was exactly what you would expect in New Orleans. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Will most definitely be back!
Good food. Very good service! Quiet (not a lot of parties there when we were there. We liked it!
The service was great and the food was fantastic. We had the fried cauliflower as an appetizer and our entrees were the salmon and filet. Everything was prepared as requested. Being able to listen to the piano while enjoying our dinner was a treat. Signage not the best but once we found it we were glad we had selected the restaurant.
We enjoyed several meals at M Bistro during our stay at The Ritz. We had the salmon and filet our first evening, both were delicious. We had the fish tacos and short rib po’boy for lunch. The tacos were tasty and just the right portion for a late lunch. My son found the po’boy a little short on flavor, but said it was still enjoyable. We had breakfast everyday we were there and it did not disappoint.
Easter brunch was phenomenal! The seafood buffet was exquisite and absolutely delicious. So many choices and as much as you want. Salad was perfect and loved the English peas. Had the leg of lamb which was delicious and the sauce was to die for. Highly recommend M bistro for those looking to have a wonderful meal with great service and ambiance.
We dined here for my daughter's birthday before seeing Phantom of the Opera and it was very nice. We were able to be seated quickly and told our waitress that we had to be at the theatre by a certain time. She made sure our food came quickly and I can't wait to come back with friends.
We were In one of the cheaters booths. There were eight of us. It was the perfect place to meet up with a group of friends. The food was outstanding. We would highly recommend.
the staff was very friendly >>> It was a great experience....
We went to M Bistro before attending a play at the Saenger Theater. The proximity to the theater is perfect and the food was wonderful. I will definitely be back!
This is at least as good as commanders palace. A truly authentic New Orleans upper class restaurant. I don't know why tom fitzmorris doesn't rate it in the top 10 in new Orleans. Easy to get reservations. Excellent
The service was perfect and the appetizers were delicious. The gumbo is the best in town. The entrees during this visit were okay but not great (redfish was not blackened as described, and scallops were rubbery). We will likely return for gumbo and appetizers.
My husband and I had an early dinner before a show at the theater. The restaurant was conveniently located and was easy to find. The service was attentive, the food delicious, and the atmosphere New Orleans at its best.
Food was amazing as was the service!! Atmosphere was perfect for those who don’t want to be right on Bourbon Street.
Bib Sallad was way over dresses. Salmon was tasteless, like it had been frozen for weeks.
Inside, so dont expect any windows. Food good but atmosphere somewhat boring
Save for rainy day
Great “Do Over” Restaurant
Great place to enjoy coctails, world class meal and outstanding service. We loved everything
Food was good but the service was outstanding! We will be back.
I was surprise because usually hotel restaurants are expensive average food. We have a snapper and a filet and both were awesome. My only complain were the cocktails, the bartender doesn't know how to prepare a good Cosmo..also my whisky cocktail taste like cough medicine. I returned the whisky cocktail without any problem. Definitely recommend the food.
M Bistro was delicious and the perfect restaurant to dine at before heading to the Saenger for a show. The wait staff was incredibly attentive and the food was delicious. It is hard to find if you do not know where to look. Thankfully we asked an employee of the hotel and he showed us the restaurant. We would've never found it on our own! But it was absolutely worth it!
I ordered sliders and truffles fries off the bar menu and both were delicious. My husband got the fish and it was great too.
The only complaint was that we never knew who our wait person was. We were waited on by at least five people and it became confusing.
Service was 5 star! They even gave us excellent directions to our next destination. I ordered the beef filet and it was amazing, the beef was tender, juicy and cooked to perfection. I asked for the whisky sauce on the side and glad I did, the filet was so good that it didn’t need a thing.
My husband ordered the blacken redfish and it was very fishy smelling, I could smell it from my side of the table. He didn’t eat very much of the fish but he said his choc-chip bread pudding was very good. He had indigestion most of the night, so maybe the fish was just bad.
Exemplary service. Thanks Michael.Pre Theater meal .Staff knowledgeable as far as showtime at Saenger and made sure we were comfortable with timing of meal and billing.
Wait staff is friendly and professional. Gumbo is best in city!
Not what we expected.
This visit was disappointing, seafood was just ok, even blackened redfish was bland, which is not good for a NOLA restaurant, service was inattentive, the Ritz Carlton should rethink this restaurant, it doesn't nearly compare to similar and very close dining establishments that are far superior!
Delicious food and wonderful service. The gumbo is the best in town!
It’s just traditional hotel fair. Food is fine but it’s not a special experience. We were here for brunch which they suddenly stopped serving at noon. What kind of brunch stops at noon? Also, I hear their dinner is better but we probably won’t go back to find out.
Celebrated two birthdays in one of the cheater booths and it was a fabulous experience. The noise level was low and we were able to hear and converse easily with everyone. The staff was very accommodating and made it special as well. I will definitely be back and recommend M Bistro.
Impeccable service. Classy, first class atmosphere. Great live jazz. With a party of seven, we had a private booth, whuch was another nice touch. Everyone but one of us loved their dish. The rib eye and scallop dishes were especially outstanding choices.
Food was great. Service was good but slow. Looked like only one waitress was working the whole room taking orders.
Perfect pre-theater lunch with the girls! Food was amazing! Bottomless mimosas were a hit!
Standard menu. Hard to find. On 3rd floor of Ritz Carlton hotel and then past the courtyard. Well appointed and luxurious environment. Food is ok but nothing special. Good place for quiet and relaxing meal.
It’s in the Ritz but it felt like they have no management. Waiter disappeared and I got a medium well rather than medium rare $50 steak. I could have found someone but rather than be a dud and ruin the whole cadence for the table I sucked it up. I had to find another waiter to order another bottle of wine. It came and he just poured, no tasting to ensure not turned etc. not what you should get with a $90 bottle. I could go on but no room. They need help and I’d wait until they get it fixed if I were you!
Had a terrible experience with service. Ordered three coarse meal prior to going to the theatre which I told the server. Paid for the meal early. Waited for the third coarse and when asked where it was they said I didn't order it. Showed them my receipt and then they said we will get it to you. Never happened. One of the worst service experiences ever. They were not busy so forget that excuse. Oh, the food was ok and no where worth that experience. Good luck with your experience if you go.
The presentation was splendid only to be outdone by the flavors. Amazing. Better than 5 stars.
Wait staff is friendly & attentive. Food...especially seafood gumbo is delicious!
