Food was absolutely wonderful! The escargots, steak tartare and bouillabaisse were delicious. Outstanding service and great ambience. Reasonably priced and worth the money.
Had a nice dinner and drinks there. Food tastes really good and everything else was perfect as well. Nice atmosphere. Definitely will go back =]
The staff at Lyon Hall was excellent. Very kind and accommodating. We went for brunch and started with the beignets, which unfortunately seemed to be cooked in oil that was too hot as they were dark on the outside but slightly underdone inside. I also had the eggs benedict was was good, but slightly too heavy for my taste and I was unable to finish it.
Always a great menu, expertly prepared and professionally served.
My wife and I are long time patrons of Lyon Hall. Lately, the quality of food and service have fallen. What a shame, Lyon Hall had been so good for so long.
A bit odd that the croissants aren’t toasted with the eggs Benedict which made the dish lackluster and they were served cold. Coffee is always good. Waiter was missing in action.
Great outdoor patio. Service was great. Food was delicious.
Sidewalk dining was safe and pleasant, and the food was excellent.
I've been here many times with friends and family, and it is always good! Outside seating is nice with good weather and usually quiet. Food is delicious and staff is always nice. Definitely recommend making a trip over. Easy walk from the metro.
The outdoor seating at Lyon Hall is very nice, it’s entertaining to see people around walking while we enjoy our dinner. We had branzino and hanger steak which were both good, but didn’t stand out given the price. The warm sourdough baguette was actually the highlight for us. Overall, it’s a great place for a date night
Enjoyed the oysters and good beer menu, very nice and efficient staff, will go again soon.
prompt and attentive service;
pleasantly surprised by complimentary glass of champagne for our anniversary;
excellent bread basket.
The not so good:
mediocre food, e.g., roasted beet salad promised beets, goat cheese, mache, pistachio and vinaigrette; it came without cheese or pistachios and beets weren’t roasted; insipid vegetarian risotto, and pork schnitzel neither thin nor well breaded;
a hassle to find parking;
noise level high enough to inhibit conversation.
Ravioli was overpriced and tasted like it was cooked from frozen. Steak was bland- service was fair at best. This place used to be excellent maybe it was an off night…
It was very good but I thought the menu was more limited than the last time - long time ago, pre-covid - but it could be I remember it differently. A good time though
Great place to go for dinner or brunch. Great beer and wine. Love this place and will definitely come back.
Everything at Lyon Hall was incredible, from the food to the drinks to the service of the entire team. Our server Matt made my birthday very special. I can’t say enough good things!
Great food and service for our large group!
Very good, bordering excellent. Great service and advice from the Serbian waitress. Salmon, tartar, mussels, desserts well presented and delicious.
With the exception of 2020, we have never missed a Restaurant Week event at Lyon Hall, and we often go both weeks that the restaurant participates in this event. Lyon Hall does it right - everything on the menu is available for the three-course $35 meal. There are plenty of choices for seafood enthusiasts, meat lovers and vegetarians. It was nice to be dining at Lyon Hall again - observing the sidewalk diners and the usual Clarendon activity. We look forward to our next visit!
Casual chic and well appointed restaurant. We were there for lunch and service was attentive though the food took a while to come. The entree menu was mostly sandwiches and burgers. and these were made well and tasted delicious. The French items though weren't - the escargot was lukewarm and served sans shells. Crème brûléee was rubbery and the sorbet was tasteless. Authentic French food these were not.
I was visiting Arlington and this restaurant was recommended by my daughter-in-law who lives nearby. I dined with friends and we all loved the food. The restaurant was full on a Wednesday night and it happened to be a continuation of Restaurant Week so we each had a three course meal. Everything was delicious. Can’t wait to come back!
We had a reservation for an outside table but it rained so I asked for a table that wasn’t too close to other tables. The noise level inside was pretty loud but we were seated at an end table so we didn’t have too many people around us. The server was pleasant, attentive and accommodating. The mussels here are always a winner and so are the cocktails. Generous portions so definitely come with an empty belly. This place has been a go to of mine for years. The service has always been wonderful and the food fresh and satisfying. Great place for every day dining or a special occasion. Highly recommended all the time!
Very accommodating for our large group dining outdoors - much appreciated! Great food and service, as always!
I have been going to Lyon Hall since they opened, we decided to try them for Sunday Brunch during Restaurant week 2021. First for $22 you get an incredible deal, even with the up charges for Steak Frites etc you CANNOT go wrong. And the food quality is good especially for the value.
My reason for 3 stars in multiple places, is it is not as good as it has been before, the quality has suffered, the service is very slow and disorganized. I really do not like the food auction experience when the runners come to the table and say, ok who had the X dish. The coursing was really slow especially between receiving menus and taking orders and all subsequent courses.
I hope all that i read about restaurants having difficulty hiring is part of the problem, so I guess time will tell on that point, but their service is suffering and they need to look at their training as i could hear other servers outside with more energy, desire and passion for their job.
We will go again.
Great food and service. The weather was unusually nice in the morning so we had brunch outdoors
Excellent should be considered one of DC area top 100
The food was fantastic. Service was a little bit slow but, to their credit, it was restaurant week and we weren’t kept waiting too long between courses. Would go back.
We loved everything
Food was mediocre, service was bad, hygiene was poor (the hostess didn’t wash her hands after using the toilet). The waiter was rude and condescending. I wouldn’t go back nor recommend.
It was restaurant week. We had brunch to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The food was amazing. I had the steak tartare appetizer. It was well presented and delicious.the eggs Benedict with crab cake was delicious.
Great neighborhood find with great service. Had the salmon and mushrooms and bacon omelette and both were delicious. Also they make a great bloody Mary which is a brunch staple for me.
Felt energetic, but also safe spacing considering a rainy Friday night during the pandemic.
Lovely atmosphere and great food
The food was amazing, amazing and amazing!! If you want to have a great food experience in a magical place. Try it!
It is a must!!
Great food and server! Enjoyed Restaurant Week special.
First visit, excellent service, food was delicious!
