Our server was amazing... great suggestions!
Very enjoyable experience. Wife and I took advantage of Restaurant Week and had lunch at Lyon Hall. Service outstanding, food outstanding. We will be back. I highly recommend it.
Great food... loved the mussels! Great service too!!!
Top quality ingredients, well prepared. A variety of deliciousness to choose from.
Lunch (participated in RW) was delicious (tuna tartare, shrimp salad, ice cream). Our server was also great. Attentive amd very pleasant.
Service was slow, but did not seem like a problem created by the servers.
We went to Lyon Hall for brunch and really enjoyed our meals. Quick, good service and the quality of the food was great. Ambiance of the upstairs level was a little weird but the main dining room seemed more put together. Overall we enjoyed it, and will come by again for a quick brunch or casual dinner.
They could find my reservation when I checked in. Luckily not too crowded so not a problem.
The pumpkin soup w lobster dumplings was the best soup i have had in years. Awesome. The roasted pork dinner was perfect as were the short ribs. Service solid. A bit noisy though.
Great meal and amazing mussels. Really attentive service with friendly staff. Felt a little rushed toward the end of the meal when the restaurant started to get busy.
It's nice to see an established restaurant get better and better.
Had a nice Birthday dinner. Server was pleasant and accommodating. Food was good as always though there were complaints about the creme brulee not being burnt.
Great onion soup and burger
The food was good but arrived in the wrong order. My husband and i got our salad at the same time as our entree. And, someone else at our time go their soup after their entree had arrived. We ended up with too many plates at the small table, and our entrees got cold while we ate out appetizers.
The food was cold, no serving spoons for sides or knives for steak provided.
Great New Years Eve Dinner! Would liked more variety with the specials, however our food was all delicious.
Everything was wonderful for the most part. Felt a little rushed with main dish coming out too soon and wanted to remove appetizers before finished. Did not get my salad. And my dinner was cold when I received it-but since boyfriends wasn’t didn’t want to send back since would have had to wait and he would been done with his food. The server was very nice though. 👍
we sat upstairs on NYE service was amazing I wish I could remember the server name to let you know.
Our fist visit made us pledge to come back. New Year’s Eve lunch and farewell to daughter from CA. Great prices and varied menu. Just what we were looking for.
Great hanger steak - medium rare done right and succulent meat flavor ! and at $19 for lunch with a few bites of salad greens and some fries, not a bad deal. Server was very attentive in refilling ice tea and checking on us without intruding conversation. Two complaints: 1. MOP THE FLOOR with vinegar, soap and hot water! Every occasion I have been to the restaurant and in different shoes, I can still GLIDE on the slippery, greasy surface whether in the dining room or the bathroom. 2. STOP putting straws in drinks by default. When patrons ask for it, give it to them. It is just NOT necessary! A good restaurant always washes its glasses with soap and hot water to remove lipstick and grease stains. Straws let them get away with dirty glasses.
I've been coming to this restaurant for years. I can honestly says that the quality of the food had declined. Also, the service could have been better. Two of our foods came out wrong. I'm not sure if this was a kitchen issue or if the serve forgot to order it correctly.
To make matters worse, the server completely forgot to order my espresso so our dessert arrived and then after I reminded him 10 minutes later, he brought out the Espresso. Although he didn't charge me for the Espresso it still didn't fix the issue.
I will likely never return back.
Lyon Hall continues to be one of our favorite neighborhood spots. Even my highly discerning mother-in-law thought the food was excellent and enjoyed the ambiance. They have a great kid’s menu- mine ate the salmon and vegetables and loved them! Waitstaff is top notch.
Great hospitality and supper kid friendly
Nice after Christmas dinner with family.
The mussels were amazing but the salads were gritty.
Our reservation was made for 7 pm, when we arrived the table was not ready. We came back to the host at 7.20 pm and she said she only has a table for 3 and we can't sit there (we were 2). When I asked to speak to her supervisor she checked again and seated us. The table service and food were great.
Enjoyed great food with friends.
Always wonderful!! Great neighborhood restaurant & more!!
Nice experience though facing exterior glass not great due to the distracting streetlights. Need to invest in some window treatments that obscure the distracting streetlights and or get county to shield the lights to improve dining ambiance.
Great lunch as always
We had a lovely ladies’ lunch. The waiters and staff were kind and efficient. They allowed us time to talk without pressuring us to hurry the meal. Sharing a salad was easy— and extremely delicious i might add. My Thai curry mussels were luscious and my friend especially enjoyed her pork sandwich with home baked pretzel bread. A definite 10+.
This is a nice, go-to neighborhood spot that isn’t too pricey, but isn’t just some fast food stop. Nice ambiance and relaxed vibe for a group brunch, lunch or dinner
Brunch was excellent!
Lyon Hall is wonderful. Prior to this reservation, I had only had lunch there, but the dinner was superb. The main dining room is a bit snug in traditional French style, but we had no problem hearing each other over the din. On the food side, we had the Mussels Normandy split among 4 of us and it was more than amble (the sever brought us an extra helping of the warm and crusty french bread for dipping). The dinners among the 4 of us were 2 lobster rolls (spilling over with excellent lobster salad and accompanied by a deluge of crispy pomme frittes; the trout almondine was perfectly cooked and accompanied by vegetables; and the traditional pork jagerschnitzel was quite large and accompanied by perfectly al dente butter noodles. The portions were generous and the presentations were alluring. We had an excellent Pinot Noir, Domaine Jean Touzot, Burgundy, France, 2016, which was chilled to the exact temperature. Overall, a must do on the Arlington evening scene!!!
Great martini. Loved the tuna tartare and the mussels. But my date ordered the Jagerschnitzel, and it was quite dry. A serious drawback for the main course.
On service, I had to ask for someone to take my drink order, as no one came to our table when I arrived (after my date), though I was escorted to my table.
Increasingly noisy as the night went on. But not terrible.
Great food, great service! We made a meal of appetizers - oxtail and mushroom toast, tuna tar tar and mussels. Wine and beer selection is very good!
Excellent choice. Food and service were great
Highly recommend it
Very good, best feature was wait staff did not linger and allowed us 3 1/2 hrs of good food and conversation. Only food issue is lack of clearly gluten free menu selections. Wife's trout main was supposed to be prepped gluten free but she had a mild adverse reaction to something.
It was pleasant.
I go frequently.
