Katie was an amazing server. She made the dinner where I proposed to my partner so special. The food was great and we will be here every year for our anniversary!

Delicious appetizers - lobster roll, French onion soup, and pretzel. Followed by main dishes of the summer risotto (with shrimp), the burger and schnitzel. We all enjoyed our dinner very much and were delighted by the chocolate mousse birthday treat.

Lyon Hall stages exceptional wine dinners under the lead of wine director Dana. As always, the food was superb and well-paired with the excellent featured Sonoma wines.

Saturday Brunch (inside seating) at Lyon Hall may just be the thing to get you through these hot summer days. My go dishes on the menu? Quiche Lorraine served with a steaming hot cup of cappuccino. Looking for something on the sweet side? Try the delicious Brioche French Toast served with banana, berries, pecan, maple syrup, and whipped cream. Of course, a side of bacon is a must with any breakfast. As is an order of Fresh Beignets, with seasonal crème anglaise. In our case this past weekend, a perfect "to go" item we would have later with afternoon tea. I've dined many times at this local haunt and have never had a bad meal. The food is prepared to perfection and the staff is just great. Love the inside/outside seating options. And inside is super cool on a hot day. Looking for a reliable brunch spot? Lyon Hall is the place.

My friend and I enjoyed our meal. Staff was friendly and professional. We sat outside and enjoyed the warm summer evening. Food was satisfying but not outstanding. Risotto was bland, the Brussel sprouts were not as crispy as desired.

We had a reservation for 7:30 for a high top table. We waited close to 30 minutes to seat. This is not acceptable. There should be table rules so that people do not seat for ever. Otherwise space reservations further apart. We got a round of drinks on the restaurant because of our complaint. Also, in a French bistro, it would be nice to listen to some French music….

Wondering what it would take to dissuade servers from clearing the table until EVERYONE was finished with each course. So disruptive!

This review covers several brunches we've had over the past two months. The House-Smoked Salmon is excellent, with a very generous serving of good salmon and sides of chopped hard-boiled egg (with herbs) and cucumber. The Benedicts are tasty but quite rich due to the underlying croissant and the Hollandaise sauce. Those with smoked salmon and avacado toast were a bit salty for our taste (we may prefer less salt than most people), but the standard (French ham) and short rib versions were great. Our major disappointment has been with the omelets. It seems that they first cook the egg until it is done (dry) and then add the filling. The result is more of a taco with egg shell than an actual omelet. IMHO, omelets should be soft/moist with the filling mixed in with the egg. In addition, the consistency of the color of the egg makes me wonder whether they were poured from a container rather than beginning with fresh eggs. The filling of the Lobster Omelet was excellent with a reasonable amount of lobster, so anyone who likes this type of dry-egg omelet will enjoy this dish. I didn't think the tastes of the wide mushroom and bacon went well together, so wouldn't recommend that dish even if the egg was properly cooked. The Quiche Lorraine was good - rich but light. It's creamy rather than eggy. Similarly, the Croque Monsieur was very rich and tasty. Finally, the side salads that come with many of these dishes are excellent. They contain a nice mixture of ingredients and the oil and vinegar dressing is well balanced.
