What a nice surprise! This was our first visit and we will definitely return. Loved the eggplant rollatini. Amazing sauce! Our entrees were fantastic.

Was able to get a reservation for Valentines day which I was happy about since most places are already booked. We were a little early and still were seated so that was very nice. Waitress was very energetic & so sweet. Overall it was just too windy outside but they did provide heating lamps, but still the wind was a bit much obviously to no fault of theirs. Appetizer was fried calamari, the butter & marinara sauce it came with were AMAZING but I thought there maybe should have been just a tad bit more for the portion size. Single glass of wine was an excellent pour, and for the entree's : Chicken Parm w/ pasta which was incredible, the sauce, portion size, and taste were all very good. I got the filet mignon with garlic mashed potatoes and veggies. The steak was cooked perfectly and the sauce on it was great! However, the mashed potatoes were very dry, and the veggies were (what tasted like) not seasoned at all and they were totally charred burnt on the bottom of the pile. So, I wouldn't necessarily order that again. We finished off with tiramisu, which was fantastic! So overall great dinner, I wish I would have gone with my first choice the Baked Ziti, but we would like to come here again. Hopefully not on a windy evening.

Had lunch, outside seating, can get chilly, food was good, a little salty, drinks are good, service is good, decent value considering what the business has to deal with.

We had a great time! Servers were very nice and attentive, food was awesome (best French toast I’ve ever had) and bottomless mimosas were great!

It was a great place, not too crowded at 10am on a Sunday for breakfast. The server was very attentive, and the food was really good.

I've been going to luxe since I moved to dp in 2012. Always a treat.

We went for brunch. Loved it. Very friendly staff and very clean. A lot of attention was paid to the cleanliness of the restaurant and comfort to the guests. Will definitely go back. I just wish they were opened for lunch.

Wonderful dining experience. Owners are always happy to see you. Service is excellent. Menu has great selection and the food is terrific.

We had a reservation and were seated immediately however had to wait an hour before our appetizers arrived and another hour after that for our dinner. We were told the kitchen was backed up. Food was just ok...Will not be going back.

Great place with very good food!

We were the only ones there during this pandemic for lunch. The waiter was very accommodating to my intolerance of the cold. He rearranged the tables and chairs to put us right in from of the fire and put heat lamps on both sides of the table. The food was delicious. The serving sizes were ample to Large. (The salad was enough for three with some left over!) The comped chocolate cake for my daughter's birthday was awesome. Plan to go back.

Olympia was a server and she was fantastic. She was attentive, but not in a pushy way. She knew the menu items well and offered a small tasting wine to sample glass before I purchased a full glass. The food was very good. We had the asparagus fries appetizer, surprisingly tasty, and the salmon, which was prepared perfectly and NOT over grilled. Considering we're in the middle of the pandemic and dining options are LIMITED, this dinner was a very welcome and enjoyable meal.

Always enjoy Luxe. Service is excellent and the food and menu selection is always great. Love the bar area inside and the dining area outside is always a fun spot. Especially like the outside fireplace. A must visit when in Dana Point.

This is a hidden gem, and the patio lends itself to a protected outdoor experience with heaters, and an actual patio experience (not just a sidewalk.)

Once our breakfast was delivered no one came back to ask if we needed anything. They quit filling up our water glasses. There were only a few tables so they did not appear to be understaffed. It took forever for someone to come by and drop off the bill. Food was very good as usual but we seemed to become invisible.

We ate outside, during COVID with heaters. All servers wore masks.
We had a nice bottle of Malbec, salad ,eggplant pasta & salmon. It was a treat.

Our party ordered three different Benedict entrées and were not disappointed with any of them. Pictured is the Lux Benedict. The only complaint was the table surface was uneven under the tablecloth so I almost spilled my water.

Love Love Love/ they never miss a beat. Can’t wait till they bring back their phenomenal crab cakes..... please please please- it’s my Christmas wish. lol

Was seated in a nice table for four right on time - good! Then it when down hill from there...

Waited quite a bit of time to have our drink order taken, let alone the food order. Probably 15 minutes before a waiter showed up at our table. Took our drink order and didn't comeback to take the dinner order for another 20+ minutes. While we appreciate not being rushed or being provided with ample of time to enjoy the company, there is a difference of being forgotten or treated as an after thought. There was a large birthday party table next to us so the waiter must have been focused on their table.

Once the food arrived, which was rather quick, one of the plate was completely cold (chicken piccata). After finally being able to flag down the waiter, he returned with the plate "warmed up" and quickly left our table. Unfortunately, the piccata was still cold but the side dish (potatoes) were very warm - strike two.

After another attempt, the piccata plate returned to our table very hot and with the same chicken that we started with originally, except now it appeared to be zapped. Frankly, most decent restaurants would replace the whole plate rather than resend zapped cut up chicken from being cold two times before - strike three.

The place was busy, especially around the bar where people were eating at the bar, and had decent atmosphere but the service and food really was inexcusable.

Perhaps it was an unusual off night for the restaurant but these days, where every restaurant is trying to stay afloat in Covid 19, one would think that they try harder and do the right thing. Keep in mind that we had very inattentive waiter, and to send the same plate back two times for being cold....

Obviously, even if this experience was one-off occurrence, sorry to say that we cannot recommend it to anyone.

loved it ! great food and service!

We sat at our table for 35 minutes before anyone even said hello to us. Just as we were about to get up and walk out, we finally got service. Sucks that it came that far to me even thinking about leaving. I never do that, I always give the benefit of the doubt to the servers. But the table that got sat nearly an hour and some change after us(they got sat in the same section as us) was nearly walking out when we were. Food was great, service ruined it for me. I don’t think I will be returning.
