After our initial problem upon arrival, my husband and I enjoyed an excellent meal at Lure, especially the recommendations our waiter Dennis.
The big problem was that we had requested and booked a table on the terrace. I confirmed this by telephone a few hours before our arrival and was assured that weather and space permitting, "yes." When we arrived, though there were not very many other diners, we were told that the terrace had been sold to a group and even though no one was there, we had to dine inside. My husband wanted to leave, but it was late, so we stayed.
Everything was incredible!!!
The Pampano was spectacular, but the oysters were not as good as we've had before at other restaurants. It may be because they were a different type than we usually get, I'm not sure. Still pretty good, but less satisfying than that to which we are accustomed. The service was beyond stellar, but the volume level of the restaurant was occasionally intrusive. The music was slightly too loud, which made most patrons speak louder, making it hard to hear my wife, though the music selection was excellent.
We are from the other side of the country, and Lure was a sort of bucket list item for us. We will likely never come back, in large part, because, we will likely never have the opportunity again. Even so, I don't know if we would return, given the opportunity. Not because of a specific complaint, just because this was a one time dining experience for us.
Great sushi. Great oysters
Beyond amazing experience celebrating my moms birthday! We ate the most delicious whole stuffed fish!
Amazing food!!!! We had a great time
Food was fabulous, from apps to deserts, everything preparedto perfection. Service was professional, courteous, attentive. High end, but definitely worth it if an elegant seafood meal is your thing.
Amazing!! Food was outstanding and service was top notch.
Our server was very knowledgeable on the menu, and extremely friendly and helpful. Our wine glass was never allowed to be less than half empty! 14 oz Strip Loin was incredible and perfectly cooked. Had a great time at Lure.
This was my third trip to Lure, the other two having been several years ago. Big fan of their NY outpost, and we enjoyed great meals in what is a lovely space. This latest trip, however, was a big disappointment. We ordered very simply -- an appetizer, two sushi rolls, and several small plates. It took FOREVER for the food to arrive. At least an hour. To her credit, our server offered us dessert on the house. But the wait was inexplicable and made for a frustrating experience. And then to see that they added 20% gratuity (which was $71 on top of the obviously substantial bill, for a party of three! ) frankly left me cold -- what was I supposed to do to signal my unhappiness -- write a negative amount on the "added gratuity" line?
There are just too many good restaurants in South Beach to bother with that. I'll continue to patronize Lure Bar in NY, but I can't justify going here again.
Terrific restaurant at the Lowe’s. Drinks were double the cost at the table versus at the bar. Food was outstanding, but expensive for what you got.
I had a great family meal here. Location is excellent and staff were friendly. Food is excellent
Very close to Loews Hotel
Very expensive for to have a diner simple .
The wine was too expensive though in general in all the country.
Great location in SoBe. Upscale eatery yet casual feel with great menu items and exceptional service. Nice, relaxing ambience. Predominantly seafood offerings but just enough of everything to satisfy most. Food was excellent from appetizer to dessert. Upscale prices but it is South Beach so it's expected. Would definitely return.
Birthday missed it on reservations
Denis was great and he gave great recommendations and services as great
Demi’s was very accommodating
Menu wide varied
Great ambiance and decor. Service really good if somewhat aloof. Fresh seafood, oysters. Would definitely return.
Great but expensive!
Miso salmon was the best salmon I’ve ever had...and I eat salmon a couple times a week. Also recommend the grilled crab legs.
My husband and I had an amazing meal. We loved the Toro special so much that the chef prepared another “off menu” creation. Every morsel of every dish was heavenly. The waitress was exceptional. All and all a great night. There were many families dining with children so I will choose “everyday dining” but I personally think the food is way too good for kids.
The atmosphere is outstanding, great booth seating. But, the best part is the outstanding food. We almost didn’t eat there but it was one of the best meals we had on South Beach. Service was very good! Dennis the waiter was very good!
Very average ambiance. Service spotty at best. Food was average.
No elegance whatsoever, starting with cheap looking paper menus. Way overpriced. Not worth it at all.
Appetizers must tuna rice cakes and crab cakes! Great atmosphere romantic and cozy!
Very fresh seafood (including sushi), very well prepared and presented. Short but good wine list. Good service. Good bar scene.
At a fancy resort, so pricey.
We loved Lure, great food wine and superb service!
For a great meal with innovative dishes this place fits the bill.
Knowledge wait staff and a true comfortable dining experience
Food was great, drinks were not
King crab legs for $88! It’s what my date wanted and they were good but not phenomenal. On the other hand, little necks were sweet, briney and tender. The crab cake was full of real crab. We would definitely book again. In fact, this was our third time dining at Lure.
I had read LURE was an elegant and classic Miami restaurant and it was that and much more. Our waiter Dennis recommendations were perfect, appetizers, entrees, and dessert. It all made for a magical evening in Miami.
Service was slow and not what you would expect at this type of establishment.
Food was very good .
Hostess was curt.
Lure Miami hits the perfect balance of creative and relatable. From the small plates to the entree and even the desserts all were close your eyes good. The room is beautiful and the service is great. Comfortable enough to feel like a local yet made our 20th Anniversary dinner something special. Josh Capon does it again.
This was our first time there. The sushi was very good as was all the meals we ordered. It was expensive but worth it.
Server wasn’t clear about included service charge/tip other than that it was excellent.
It was very dark and not enough light on the table to see my food. Salads were just ok. Snapper Fish was fresh and delicious. The lobster roll was chopped fine and had shells and not worth $30. FYI $100 for 4 drinks and $36 for sparkling water.
Great meal from start to finish. Octopus was very tender, spot on. Snapper on the plancha and rock shrimp were excellent. As was the service.
Group of 6 had dinner at Lure while we were staying at Loews. Food was very fresh and very good. Very nice place but not pretentious. Very friendly and patient with my kids who were not on their best behavior.
Ambiance was fine but food was not what we expected. The appetizers were okay but the fish was somewhat fishy and overcooked. We had requested it be undercooked but this was not the case. Drinks were overpriced and the wine was double the price in other restaiurants. This restaiurant was a complete rip off!! They had the nerve to add a 20% “service charge” and then expected an additional tip. We would never recommend this restaurant to anyone.
The spicy tuna rolls and tuna TA Taki were fine, as was the deviled egg and the oysters were nice, fresh and not a bad one among two dozen. That all said, when we finished happy hour (almost 2 hours) and realized that what we had would have been approximately twice as much if ordered off the normal menu, that would have been staggeringly excessive and expensive. If I were going back - I would restrict my visit to happy hour.
It is so disappointing that a restaurant that boasts food of this quality should be undercut by such poor service. The elements of a high-end service restaurant are present in the venue, but Lure did not deliver. I believe that the included service charge in lieu of the gratuity as determined by the consumer totally biases the level of service. Such a shame.
Lovely atmosphere. Food just Ok. Many Different people serving our table coming by every few minutes taking plates.glasses, etc. Portions too large - left food behind. Quality did not match the price.
