This was our first time there. The sushi was very good as was all the meals we ordered. It was expensive but worth it.

It was very dark and not enough light on the table to see my food. Salads were just ok. Snapper Fish was fresh and delicious. The lobster roll was chopped fine and had shells and not worth $30. FYI $100 for 4 drinks and $36 for sparkling water.

Great meal from start to finish. Octopus was very tender, spot on. Snapper on the plancha and rock shrimp were excellent. As was the service.

Group of 6 had dinner at Lure while we were staying at Loews. Food was very fresh and very good. Very nice place but not pretentious. Very friendly and patient with my kids who were not on their best behavior.

Ambiance was fine but food was not what we expected. The appetizers were okay but the fish was somewhat fishy and overcooked. We had requested it be undercooked but this was not the case. Drinks were overpriced and the wine was double the price in other restaiurants. This restaiurant was a complete rip off!! They had the nerve to add a 20% “service charge” and then expected an additional tip. We would never recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The spicy tuna rolls and tuna TA Taki were fine, as was the deviled egg and the oysters were nice, fresh and not a bad one among two dozen. That all said, when we finished happy hour (almost 2 hours) and realized that what we had would have been approximately twice as much if ordered off the normal menu, that would have been staggeringly excessive and expensive. If I were going back - I would restrict my visit to happy hour.

It is so disappointing that a restaurant that boasts food of this quality should be undercut by such poor service. The elements of a high-end service restaurant are present in the venue, but Lure did not deliver. I believe that the included service charge in lieu of the gratuity as determined by the consumer totally biases the level of service. Such a shame.

Lovely atmosphere. Food just Ok. Many Different people serving our table coming by every few minutes taking plates.glasses, etc. Portions too large - left food behind. Quality did not match the price.

We live just a few blocks away and when friends wanted good seafood and nice atmosphere- it was an easy decision- plus we could walk over for our Friday, 8:30 reservation. At 8:55 I found a “manager?” And asked if someone could take a drink order, even he could not find a server so he took the order knowing we were getting impatient- of course no smile or apology. When drinks were brought out they were held up like a prize and announced so we could each claim ours...same held true when appetizers, entrees and desserts were brought over.

I found the manager again later when we wanted to order wine, of course the bottle was placed just out of our reach about 8 feet away and of course no employee walking by noticed our empty glasses or offered to pour, no problem happy to do this ourself. In all I got up 5 times during dinner to find a dining room employee or pour our wine. I also visited the host stand and told them their lack of service was really wreaking our night - she said she would “bubble it up”

It was not that they had it out for us, we watched as other tables searched for a server, or walked to host stand trying to pay their bill. I get that maybe servers called out sick or quit, by when they knew they were over their heads did they continue seating more parties?

Finally 3 hours later our server arrived with a big smile and handed us our check for just over $600 (4 of us) and said desserts are on the house tonight - incredibly still no mention of anything wrong...and of course the bill included an 18% gratuity- in hindsight I should have had the % lowered, but we were so happy to get the hell out we would have paid almost anything. More than anyone I blame the management for our ruined dinner, no apology, no recognition, no knowledge of how to run a room and no one at the door when we left. BTW, when we did leave there was only 1 other table in the restaurant- they had plenty of time apologize ...if they wanted wonder SoBe gets a bad rap.

We went to dinner early to take advantage of happy hour value, but happy hour is only available at the bar, which was full. It took 20+ minutes for my drink to come after ordering. Appetizers had already been served and mostly consumed by then. We had to argue with the waitress to get something other than American cheese on the burger. Our silverware was cleared with the appetizers and not replaced until after the entrees were served and we could find the waitress to ask for replacements. The side we ordered (lobster Mac and cheese) was served late and was not worth the price. The only positive part of the experience was the attitude of the waitress who remained upbeat and friendly even though I am sure she could sense our annoyance. It was only her friendliness that kept me from complaining about the automatic 20% gratuity that was added to the bill for a much less than satisfying dining experience.

Food was simply wonderful, fresh, creative, and refined. The service however is what set this restaurant apart. Subtlety attentive to every detail. On par with the best NYC and Parisian establishments.

Other reviews have commented on price. We found the experience to be worth the price, but know you are entering an upscale restaurant.

The food is well prepared and menu tends to be heavy with sushi items with limited cooked fish items. The night I was there the restaurant had several large table groups close to each other and the noise was deafening at the smaller surrounding tables. I have no problem with an energetic noisy place but food is not enjoyable with packed groups.
