Beautiful view. Food was delicious. Service was great. Friendly server.
Celebrated Valentine’s Day at Lure. The food, atmosphere and service was great, didn’t feel rushed and they spaced out the bookings so it didn’t feel to packed. The food was really good but nothing to write home about, we knew about the 3 course Valentine’s Day menu and though it was good I would have expected better for a $160 bill.
Amazing waterfront views from this restaurant. We went on Valentine's Day and had excellent service from all the staff. Food was excellent - options were not something we would ordinarily select and were very pleasantly surprised with the flavours. Definitely recommended.
I have a "beef" with Open Table. I made my reservation 2 weeks prior to our family gathering through Open Table. It was confirmed. I called Lure 2 days prior to our family birthday to confirm the time, date and numbers. I was told that all was good. Then, on the day, I called to add 1 more person (making it now 9 people) and was told that I did not have a reservation but they could accomodate us. Imagine the stress of possibly having to explain to 9 people that our special event was cancelled or moved because they lost our reservation. Although we will be back, I am now leary about Lure's reservation system and will be calling to make the reservation and confirming the day of.
Beautiful view, delicious food and attentive staff. Wonderful.
Hosted a dinner for ten guests (many of which from out of town.) We all loved the view and the ambiance of the space. Was seated in a great location for all guests to converse. The food and drinks were enjoyed by all and were served at the appropriate times to enable us to meet our after dinner commitments. Highly recommended for group dinners.
Great food and drink, great service, beautiful location.
Had dust in my salad.
The server was not a nice person to talk with.
My client’s meal was up to par with a lovely beet salad and edamame starter.
I ordered the Steelhead entree. My meal was NOT up to par and well below the Delta Lure standard.
The steelhead was rubbery, the sauce tasteless and VERY salty, the meal was lukewarm and substandard on every level.
I did talk privately to our server, after the meal to express my disappointment in the meal.
She did not offer any compensation in any way and again I did not want it to be the focus of my meeting with my client present so I just left.
Staff needed to be more attentive to their customers
Dinner was great. There was a vegan dish available for me. The food was delish. The service was attentive without being intrusive. The view of the harbour and lit Christmas tree made the evening very romantic.
Excelente lugar, la vista a la bahía impresionante y mejor lugar para convivir con los amigos de viaje
Food ranged from good (mussels) to dry and tough (chicken). The service was okay - our server was pleasant but inexperienced. Setting is beautiful with stunning views of the harbour. Restaurant is comfortable and tastefully decorated.
Birthday and xmas
Service was slow and food was mid-grade. We were a few minutes early so our table wasn't ready. The host sat us at the bar which was fine but we were required to settle at the bar before moving to our table a few feet away. We had to then carry our drinks and belongings to the table and wait for our mediocre meal to arrive. Definitely a disappointment for such a lovely location.
It was a good dinner with good food and drinks in a very enjoyable atmosphere. The only thing that I think as an improvement it is the number of servers. We had a good service from our waiter, but sometime it was a hard to talk with him because he was busy with some many tables he had to take care of.
The view is the best part of the visit. Food was good but not great. I was disappointing that the menu was more tavern (burgers, sandwiches, and pizza) than a nice restaurant. Nice cocktails but nothing special on food menu.
I was very disappointed in that I had ordered a cake with happy 17th anniversary on it and we did not receive a cake very very disappointing
Food was good tasting. Sable fish dinner was expensive but worth it, good portions. The halibut and chips was a good value and batter excellent.
Another wonderful experience at Lure! We were celebrating two birthdays so were delighted to be sat at the window. Our server was friendly and attentive and the brunch items we ordered were amazing! We decided we have to start having brunch at Lure more often, a great value in Victoria and did I mention the spectacular view?
Booked online for restaurant, ended up with a table on pub side. Was for a birthday so wasn't ideal. Chicken wing not cooked through, charcuterie plate not explained, meals ok. Used to be a premium place to be but now that it's increased in popularity, wouldn't recommend as the service hasn't kept up with the demand.
Excellent food and service in a beautiful setting.
Good sized portions, good menu, very good service
The view of the parliament building and Christmas lights was spectacular. The service was exceptional. I was a little disappointed with the menu choices. Wish there would have been more to choose from. We had a wonderful evening just the same.
We went to Lure for an early Christmas celebration for my staff and their husbands. The atmosphere was nice as I have been here before many times for my birthday and love that I can book Online to reserve seats. This time was nice except one of my girls didn't finish her food(a whole steak). The server took it away and tossed it. Nothing was asked about having it for take out. $29 down the drain! We were a bit thrown off by this and it kind of put a damper on the night.
It was so loud!
Family visitors in town. We all loved the food and service
My third visit and I was disappointed after two previous good experiences. We came for lunch but had to raise our voices to be heard over the too-loud "background" music, even though there weren't many people in the restaurant. I asked for the awning to be lowered because it was too sunny. It was and it made a big difference, but then I noticed someone raised it again a few minutes later. I asked again, but the lowered blind did not fix the problem. I finally gave up and endured the glare. My meal tasted as though it had just been defrosted and heated up. I suppose it was, but if I visit again, I shall try to order something that has not been frozen. My guest ordered a sandwich. It was made with bread sliced way too thick, and then toasted, making it very hard to eat. Try chewing through two toasted slices of very thick bread with very hard crusts. She broke a dental crown. Luckily she was able to retrieve it. It was not the pleasant lunch I had hoped for. Come for the view; be careful what you order.
We had a really lovely evening here - food was great, view was stunning, table service was excellent— but we felt a little adrift upon arrival - there was no one to greet us for 3 or 4 minutes as we claimed our reservation - seems petty to mention it since we has such a nice time!
Loved the place as it was my first time. Great that they accommodated my window table request via Open Table.
