Service was slow. Cars were noisy, but we chose to eat outside.
The tables were too close for comfort…the pandemic is not over.
Good solid restaurant.
this Resturant was very nice and great atmosphere
Lure was incredible! The ambience is great (though we were in a side room that was a bit quieter - perfect to catch up with family we hadn't seen in a while and the main room was more energetic).
The food was incredible. Try the tempura shrimp and octopus starters, you won't regret it!
And if you're here for the sushi - wow. The rolls and the nigiri/sashimi were just amazing. We ordered a bunch of different options a la carte, and everything from the salmon sashimi to the scallop nigiri just melted in your mouth. An amazing night with amazing food and a great ambiance to house it all - highly recommended.
Terrible Hosts in the front
Service was AWFUL
I love stopping in here each time I’m in New York. The food is consistent and service is spot on. Great place to have a family reunion and shop afterwards in SoHo.
Still so good after all these years. Love the nautical vibe and the sushi is incredible.
The food at Lure was delicious, but the service was very slow. We had an 8:30pm reservation and sat outside where there were very few customers. The overhead lamp bulbs above us had burned out, so it wasn't as comfortable as it could have been, and the food took a long time to arrive. The steamed snapper with curry was delicious.
Quality of the food was definitely good. Can't say same about the service. Our table (outside) seemed to be an afterthought. We would of continued to order more if service was more attentive.
Outstanding! Food, drinks and vibe!!
Awesome food and an even better ambiance
Food was amazing, kitchen was backed up so we had to wait around an hour after we got there. Our server Olivia, was so accommodating and nice. Branzino was delicious but definitely not filling, Sea Urchin bucatini was great. Overall 4 and a ½ stars, just because food took so long.
The food was fabulous as always and our server was great!
Took over an hour for drinks - waiter never came - we had to waive him down and there were issues with the order once it was finally taken
We went for my daughter’s birthday and sat outside which was great. Great people watching. The best pasta I have ever had. Would definitely recommend this place
The waiter disappeared and after 35 minutes he didn’t even take a drink order. I asked another waiter to help and he was very nice he said the other guy ended his shift. But think they should communicate better. Generally very slow even though it wasn’t a busy time.
Wonderful meal, fabulous oysters, terrific clam chowder, delicious salmon and branzino. And we are a big fan of our waiter, James, who deserves special mention for attentive service with personality! Our only complaint is that for us, the noise level was too intense.
The server didn’t have enough time for our table or any, always running, breathless and rushed.
Food was nice, but worth going to another restaurant if you want great service. Our server was nice but needed to be flagged down if we needed anything throughout the entire meal.
Great ambiance and lighting. Delicious seafood. Professional attentive waitstaff. Great mixed drinks and bar. Win win
Our waiter was awesome! We enjoyed our time and the food was delicous. I had the branzino and my friend had a seafood pasta dish (don't remember the name exactly at the moment). We would definitely return. I would want to try the scallops and also some of the other options on the menu. I also liked that although it was a lower-level restaurant, meaning you went downstairs to be seated rather than it being on street level, you didn't feel like you were sitting in a dungeon. You felt comfortable and there was plenty of lighting. You could see your food and the place was clean. Also, they are checking for your vax stats so if you are then you have inside seating options but if not, then you are offered outside seating, so if that is a concern, thats something to be aware of. At first the host said he couldn't find my reservation but eventually he did so that moment of angst was cleared up quickly. They also had good drinks but we noticed that the different bartenders changed the outcomes of our drinks even if they were the same orders. Still good though.
Until next time!
Incredible food. Exceptional service. A perfect evening.
Best dining experience!!!
Unfortunately a very bad experience. Chose this place to try out the restaurant week menu because my first time here was enjoyable. Waited forever to get the appetizer (which was wrong order). Then almost another hour to get the entree, not to mention they first served us wrong items (supposedly sho be my neighbor table’s), then we had to remind them to swap and waited another 30 min to get the entree (after reminding for 3 times). When we got the entree, salmon was over cooked (asked for medium) and tasteless (seriously no seasoning and minimum honey glaze), the lobster pasta was semi-cold with tomato sauce tasted like half-diluted. In the end they served us wrong desserts as well and we didn’t even bother to argue. At that point I just wanted to pay the bill and never return.
We ate off of the restaurant week menu- and portions were much smaller than the usual plates sizes so it’s mot exactly a “deal”.
It’s also hard because Lure definitely takes more reservations and walk ins than it can handle in a night. Our reservation was at 8 PM and we arrived at 7:55 and were not seated until 8:40. We ordered food and drinks immediately upon seeing our server - our drinks took 40 mins and our food took 80 mins! It was comical- every table was laughing alongside us because other tables were receiving their orders but ours were “delayed” probably due to ordering from the restaurant week menu.
It’s a bummmer because I’ve been to Lure before and had a great experience, but this night was much less than a good time. I laugh when I realize we sat at dinner for 3.5 hours and had two cocktails and ordered from a preset menu…
Food was delicious. Service was beyond terrible. Some of the worst service in NYC
Food was very good but tables were too close together given the current environment and felt rushed
Not great service. Long wait times to get food and service even though they weren’t busy. The food was good when we did get it though. Cool vibe inside the restaurant but be ready to wait
Very neat sushi in NYC. Staff goes above and beyond. Sushi chefs were so great— we at back by their bar area!
Love this place! Love the staff! Thanks for everything!
Horrible service and bland salmon.
Great service And food.
Just average, we will not be returning. New York has so many great restaurants, fantastic food, great outdoor seating and first class service.
The service was terrible we waited an hour for our food only to find out the server took the wrong order. Miguel however the buzzer he should be a server because after he saw we were not being attended he jumped in to check in on us and offered us excelent service. He was better than the actual server.
Mother’s Day a day early bc you were booked for Sunday
Lure has lost some of its lure frankly. Our server was not very helpful and ruined the experience for us. The cosmo my friend ordered was sour and the server really was bothered to do anything for us. Food was ok but honestly nothing special
We came here for my Mom’s birthday. We love this restaurant but don’t get to come as often because we live in queens. The food is very tasty and presented nicely. The service is lovely and the setting was very chill. I enjoyed sushi while my parents shared the crispy fish. It was fine to perfection! I do wish they had more of a variety of cooked sushi but it was fine. We will be back for sure.
All good. Always good.
I was so grateful to have a seat inside as we were very dressed and did not want to sit on the sidewalk. Since we were inside, we stayed longer and ordered more food and wine.
Waiter was great. Atmosphere lovely. One obnoxious young woman was shouting (likely over-served) and it would have been nice for all the tables around her if she had been asked to keep her shouting to a minimum. Even the hostess could clearly hear her four booths away! It was disruptive to conversations at surrounding tables.
