What Insiders Are Saying
Lure Fishbar is still just as much of a Soho party yacht as it was when it opened in 2004. The food has only gotten better.
Although the room itself is interesting, the food really wasn't great. I had a sushi roll and my husband had a sushi combo. We had tuna tataki to start. It was a Monday, not a great day to order sushi.
Phenomenal! Went for Sunday brunch and loved it so much I took colleagues there for dinner the next day!
Havent been there in a while. The food was excellent! Nice crowd too!
Great seafood great service always freshl always tasty
This place looks very cool, has stellar drinks, and even better food. Sushi rolls are creative and delicious! Ambiance is awesome. This is a great place for the scent and to be seen. Go soon!
I am addicted to this institution ! So good !
A NY institution that has stood the test of time.
A kitchen that is spot on and never disappoints.
Ambiance is great. Everyone chilling.
too expensive but fun fir every once in a while. 200 bucks for 4 drinks and a few appetizers.
It’s always wonderful best sushi I’ve ever had in NYC.
Great except they forgot an app and when they brought out dinner I asked them about it and the waiter gave it to the wrong table by accident. Did not apologize and brought it after we finished our meal and put it on the bill last as if it was forgotten. Not good service at all.
I live in Pennsylvania, this was my second visit to Lure, and we were not disappointed. The meal was fabulous. The restaurant is noisy which I recall from my first visit. However, our only complaint is that my husband is a tall guy, 6'2" and 225 lbs. The tables are too close together we could barely move.
We went here for valentine’s day and had the pre-fix menu. We ordered the surf and turf for two. The food took forever to arrive, and the cut of meat was strange and overly fatty. It was cooked well under medium rare as well, making for a chewy experience. The other courses were okay, but nothing close to the normal menu. With drinks and tip, this brought us to an over $400 meal, which unfortunately didn’t feel worth it. We’ll likely be back, but will skip holidays and pre-fixed menu.
Incredible, is the best way to describe my experience.
Always a great Soho lunch spot.
This was my favorite restaurant. I’ve experienced a decline in the service and the food quality. This visit during Restaurant Week was very disappointing, but the shrimp tempura is STILL a winner! What happened Lure???????🙁
Great sushi, nice ambiance.
Lobster roll was delicious!
Highly recommended por seafood lovers.
Price medium high
Another perfect meal.
Just so loud and we felt rushed. Not exactly cheap, so probably won't be back.
I took advantage of restaurant week. They offered for an additional charge of $10.00 the seafood squid ink linguini which was so worth it. The appetizer was good very small portion but good. The desert we share two the carrot cake or their version of one was extremely small slice with a few layers it was okay. The apple straddle cobbler was super sweet but good. all in all YUMMY!
I heard a lot about this place and thought a Restaurant Week dinner was a good time to try it. The offerings were amazing for the price. The tuna tartare appy was presented a tall disc of minced tuna with wasabi and sauces surrounding it on the plate and the taste was as fresh as the sea. The miso glazed salmon main was cooked perfectly. The wait staff asked how we would like it cooked. Seldom do you see this question asked of any fish but tuna. The salmon was velvety, the glaze deep and somewhat sweet. Service was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable but not intrusive. The room reminds one of an ocean liner dining room and even brought back a distant memory of One Fifth with the porthole like lamps positioned on the walls. Fresh seafood, great service, reasonable prices for the quality of food, what else do you need. Go!
The food was delicious, but not worth the price. It wasn't anything special compared to middle-tier restaurants, although it feels like touts itself as top-tier. The setting of the restaurant looks stuffy, but the service is very average, and the food was not exceptionally amazing with ingredients that could justify such a high price. I had a good dinner, and I'm glad I tried it during Restaurant Week, but I don't think I would come here again.
Everything was fantastic. The Décor. The Wait Staff. The Food. The Dessert. The Wine!!!!!
The Sommelier was beyond wonderful. She brought us wine pairings that were amazing. We went there for Restaurant Week, but got some Oysters as well. Perfect! The place does get a bit noisy...but it wasn't unruly, so not a terrible turnoff. I would say GO! Get the oysters. AND I hear they make a fantastic burger. Who knew???
Stunning food with ample servings and a nice, aquatic decor.
Ambiance and food were enjoyable but they were understaffed, underprepared (out of a lot of items), and it took forever. Disappointing experience.
The food was great. Service could have been better. A bit pricey for sashimi.
Best Tuna I have ever had.
Went for lunch during restaurant week. The food was good, but it was the service the highlight of our first visit to the restaurant. We experienced great customer service by everybody at the restaurant: hostess, busboy, waiting staff.
For that we will definitely come back.
Great place! Absolutely love it. Great food and service. Big portions and delicious food! Thank you!
Food was good. Service was great.
Been coming here for years. Whenever I've been here my guests have enjoyed. Can't remember a bad meal here.
Rare for a restaurant to be so consistently good for so long.
The kitchen was going through an inspection when we were there so it took a long time for any food to appear. The table next to us was a group of 5 people (3 males and 2 females) all of whom had very loud voices which got louder and more raucous the more they drank. They seemed to be known to the people running the restaurant. The food was great, but it was a relief to leave and not have these extremely loud voices battering at you.
Nice restaurant, the Hostess needs some training, missed my open table reservation, and was seating people on top of each other when the crowd was not that bad. I noticed several people asking for a different table. In all great food and great place
I found that my server was snippy and didn’t really appreciate that. The food and ambiance was great though.
Delicious, fresh food. Fish melts in your mouth.
Great decor, the restaurant looks like the inside of a ship.
This is one of my top restaurants.
My adult daughter works in SoHo and we have celebrated her birthday here almost every year! As well as other times - always delicious- great sushi - especially the crispy rice sushi. It has gotten a bit pricey - but so has the neighborhood!
Super delicious. Love the atmosphere and had a great time. So many selections that it was hard to choose sushi vs brunch vs regular entrees. Loved the dressed oysters and the fish tacos. Co-diners had the lobster roll which was excellent as was the burger and Cobb salad. Would definitely go back!
Food was outstanding. Great quality food and drinks. Great vibes and energy in the place. Would definitely recommend!
Food was over salted and over priced. Happy hour, not so happy.
