What Insiders Are Saying
Lure Fishbar is still just as much of a Soho party yacht as it was when it opened in 2004. The food has only gotten better.
You can NEVER go wrong with a meal at Lure. Great food, awesome service and a hopping environment.
This was an amazing experience. I highly recommend this place for a date. Especially if you want to impress
Food is always great, service dragged the lunch out 20 mins too long.
Diner here is like a mini vacation on a 1950’s yacht. The service and food are top shelf. They had a beautiful little chocolate birthday cake for my wife which was such a wonderful surprise.
As always the food was great especially the burger One of the top burgers in NY for me.
Great food....fish was fresh & delicious....sides too
some things too spicy for our party; ask about spice before ordering.
This place was great! The ambiance was good a little bit loud. I would try this place again. I ordered sushi and it was alright next time I will try something different.
I wasn't as good as usual , it was packed
The Dover sole was over cooked left it on a minute to long . The pasta had way too much lemon in it !
Told the waiter but it is what it is
They need to step it up in the kitchen
Beautiful place, which resembled being on a boat. The food was divine and the staff were very helpful in helping choose wine and talking through the menu. Very nice atmosphere. Thank you for a great night!
The Lure offers great dining and wine selection. The ambiance is awesome. You can dress up or stop in for a bite after shopping. I had the scallops and they were delicious - perfectly cooked. My daughter had the red snapper and that was really superb. We will go again when visiting NYC.
One of the best finds. The service was attentive request were. Honored
Food wasn’t bad, but definitely not worth the price. You can get significantly better sushi for less elsewhere.
The service was a little slow, but the food was amazing!
The food was very good. The service was not. It may have been an uncommon experience, as I went once for lunch and the service was good. We took an out of town guest, excited to show off the NYC restaurant scene and were disappointed that this was their experience.
We sat at the sushi bar and ate amazing sushi. The only awkward part is sitting at the tall sushi bar and having the servers try and pour water and grab our plates from behind us in a crowded sushi bar. Also, to order from a waiter behind us who was clearly busy with other tables. He was hustling but we definitely would have eaten more if we could order directly from the sushi chefs or if our waiter wasn’t slammed with other tables. But, overall, a great restaurant with amazing food and ambiance. This will definitely be our new go to sushi/raw bar place.
Food and wine was good
Staff need to be more attentive and humbled, must been just our waiter I assume. At times, when we were looking for something, we had to wait to get his attention, service wasn’t spontaneous but we will go back and maybe ask to be sited at a different section with someone else serving us.
Overall we enjoyed and will recommend the restaurant to our friends
Lure was a beat restaurant. I thought from the photos and the “nautical theme” it would be cheesy and kitschy, but it was quite elegant. The food was really delicious.
Great appetizers and mains but deserts were a bit too heavy. Service was good and originally assigned table was tight and had to request for change of table.
Love this place, the food never disappoints and the service continues to get better and friendlier. If the price point is in your ballpark and the menu is of interest, you cannot go wrong here.
Lure is always a good standout with great wine. The atmosphere is incredible inside the bow of a boat. All of the food is top notch and service is impeccable.
Great spot. Love being a regular there
Our server was awesome. Very attentive but not overly. We had a great time.
Didn’t like it, for the prices they charge the food is just not good enough, a sushi roll 21$$??? So expensive and the food is mediocre.
The design of the restaurant is beautiful.
Went there once and wouldn’t return, definitely not worth the trip from NJ.
It was noisy and felt a bit cramped.
We chose that restaurant because we were shopping in SOHO. We were seated on time, which was nice. Although it was mid-week, the restaurant had a nice crowd. I thought the food was very good, and overall we had a good time. My only two "negatives" were that the pace of the meal was too quick. the main course came out almost immediately after the appetizers, so the entire meal lasted only a little over an hour. And for 3 people, each ordering one an appetizer and entree, no desserts, 4 bar drinks total (one of which was a beer), the bill was over $300
I was here for Summer Restaurant week dinner with a friend. Really great venue and fabulous food.
Nice thematic surroundings and decor. Wait staff was excellent. Food was superb. Downside were tables way too close ro neighboring diners. Took away from the experience because you cannot have a private conversation. Gets a bit loud when busy.
Food was very okay for the price...
Good food, service and atmosphere. Would like to visit again :)
Food was really good and portions generous specially for a Restaurant Week menu. Had the Salmon, which is the best salmon I have ever had. Service by David was excellent, anticipating our needs with a great smile.
Decor is spectacular. Skip dessert, which is a bit less impressive, and stick to more fish.
Went for restaurant week lunch and was pleased with the options, including the discounted wines by the glass and dessert supplement. Server was very attentive even though I was a woman eating alone among power lunchers. Food was good for the price point. Be prepared for Soho-sized portions and don't just rely on an entree alone for your meal.
I took an out of town friend here for dinner. It’s a great, fun spot that evokes dining in a cruise liner. It’s definitely an energetic spot with lots of people dining and drinking at the bar so certainly the noise level is quite high and it’s hard to have a conversation. The food is good for a seafood restaurant in NY - it’s definitely worth going at least once.
Last day of work
Love the atmosphere; it’s like sitting in a large yacht on smooth seas!! Great pour on the cocktails!!
James was our server, great suggestions and very attentive!!
I had the artichoke ravioli followed by the diver scallops and my colleague had the tuna tartar, followed by the nut encrusted tuna meal - all outstanding. Shared the chocolate mousse, I loved it, not so much by my guest.
Not my first time here and most definitely not my last!!!
The meal was delicious, as it always is. However, the whole experience was tarnished with the waiter named Adam (who had an attitude problem from the start) coming to ask if the bill was ready to pay 3 times. My party and I felt like the restaurant was kicking us out. We were informed at time of seating that they would need the table by 8pm however it was only 7:25pm. A young man from Lure came and asked how our experience was. I described the experience to him. His response was one where a.) it didn’t make sense b.). he couldn’t even look me straight in the eye as he was rolling his eyes c.) he offered us drinks but at that point, we were disgusted and left.
Lure is a great establishment however the service needs a facelift and retraining for staff to be more sensitive and more courteous. Act like you want to work there because your attitude affects the customer’s experience.
After being a loyal customer for years, I will never return due to the experience I had.
Great overall. Just a fantastic place to eat.
Great seafood restaurant, blending contemporary American with Japanese - and great desserts!
Great booth for a get together. Nice size portions for restaurant week. Acccommodating on food options!
Great choices for restaurant week. (I am often disappointed with the options on the menu during restaurant week, this however was perfect!) I had the tuna tartare, salmon, and the most amazing chocolate mousse, which was probably my favorite out of the three.
The nicest staff always friendly
