What Insiders Are Saying
Lure Fishbar is still just as much of a Soho party yacht as it was when it opened in 2004. The food has only gotten better.
Ate at Lure before a show. Service was slow, but food and drinks were excellent and a great hip hop soundtrack playing. Swanky and hipsterish.
Phenomenal and flavorful food! Great selection and presentation. Fantastic!
Lobster roll was terrible
Absolutely amazing! I have never been more full in my life because every single thing we ordered was so good!
We try to eat at Lure every time we are in NYC. The seafood is fabulous, and the wait staff exceptional. Fun cocktails, too. It's located in basement of a building, and the decor is the deck/inside of a boat!!! It's very fun. Love it!!
This was one of the best meals we have eaten in the city. The food and service was exceptional. I am still dreaming of the shrimp and burger. The only reason this isn't 5 stars is due to the service from the front desk staff, plus we maybe had the worst table in the place :)
Highly recommended - definitely book in advance if you can.
Fabulous in every way! Staff and food are exceptional.
The food and everything was great. The kitchen must have been busy because our sushi roll never came out. It was on our bill at the end. The waitress had the kitchen fix it quickly instead of taking it off the bill, so we ended up taking a sushi roll to go that we never ate.
Great! Classic spot.
Excellent food. Very attentive service. Wonderful overall experience.
Lovely food as always
Really good local Soho restaurant with superb seafood and great wine list.
This spot will never fail you. The FOOD is amazing!!! Great service and delicious drinks. Great place for a date or ladies night out. Family friendly. Great menu. Street parking is alway available.
My first time dining and will definitely be back. We had a reservation for two and we preferred to sit at the bar. Bar seating is “first come, first serve” but we were able to snag two seats while waiting for a table. Our bartenders, Joe and Rebecca, were PHENOMENAL and had great suggestions. Everything from the quality and taste of the food to the service was exceptional. It was truly a wonderful and memorable evening.
last minute birthday bash / dinner
The table/booth was very uncomfortable. We ordered four dishes, all which were disappointing. I expressed my disappointment to the server in regards to one dish; the lobster toast was extremely salty and difficult to eat. Was hoping a manager would stop by (as I, myself, am a restaurant manager) to discuss the meal, especially after receiving negative feedback.
Something that really put me off, a waiter at the service bar pulled a very long hair out of a martini and was waving it around, I could see it from my table. He was laughing about it with the bartender and did not alert management. Was very perturbed to see that especially while eating my meal.
Service was okay, food was not good, ambience was so/so. Will not be returning.
Love Lure NYC and never a disappointment!!!!!
Stopped for a quick bite. Service was awesome
I took my wife here for her birthday. We had a really delicious food and wonderful service. We shared a the Yellowtail Jalapeno Roll. My wife had the seared diver scallops and I had the nori crusted tuna. We both loved everything. We shared amazing blueberry & white peach mint ice cream for desert. We would definitely return here Thanks.
I always viewed this restaurant as a SoHo classic. It’s been around for a very long time and I decided to try it for the first time on my sister’s birthday. She loves seafood and I thought this would be a great choice.
I love the interior. Really something special. The experience of feeling like you’re in a yacht while being in the heart of NYC is unlike any other!
1. Service - from the host to the servers, I got the impression that no one really wanted to be there. The negative attitude was palpable.
2. Food - I am sad to say I was not impressed by the choices. I came at a weird time (4:30pm, right before the switch to the dinner menu) but that shouldn’t be a reason to get mediocre food. The calamari didn’t even taste like seafood. The sauce overpowered the taste. We were starving, so we ate them anyways. Overall, none of us were impressed by what we ordered. It didn’t taste that great and was very pricey for what it was.
I wouldn’t come back. Poor value for what you pay. Has the potential of being a great restaurant. Seems like its golden days have come and gone.
I love this place. Always a go-to for a fun and fresh meal!
was awful food took forever rolls were super small
Great bash burger - and sushi - can get this combo anywhere downtown
Chardonnay by the glass ($22) was excellent.
Appetizers (crab cake, tuna tacos) were rather pedestrian at premium pricing ($18-$22).
Sushi rolls were fair, bronzino pretty good.
Food was basically average and prices were premium. Might return for a drink at the bar when in the area, but for dining the value is below average.
Very loud and busy but good sushi and fish and good service
Wife and i cone all the time. It’s pricey but the quality is always top notch. There’s buzzing energy and great service, you won’t refret it.
Their crispy rice is not to be missed! Loved every bite of this meal!
amazing every time!
We always love the great food, wine and great service!
The hostess did a great job of picking a table to accommodate our 4 year old, and the server was fantastic.
Fried calamari appetizer was just awful. It was an Asian sauce vehicle only.
The bread for the lobster roll was stale.
The mahi tacos were very good.
We spend $180 on lunch before tip. Even with 4 drinks, ouch.
Always a vibrant scene. Last time I went was on a Monday and I’m glad there were people there which didn’t make it seem empty. I was going to grab a drink at the bar first but all the stools were occupied
Food was just ok!!
Great food! I love all the sushi rolls, the cripsy rice and the lobster mac n' cheese!
Too expensive for the mediocre food
Want an awesome meal with great cocktails in a trendy SoHo joint? Then come here! Food & service was great - we will be back!
My boyfriend and I are regulars. This is actually his favorite restaurant. We dine all over NYC; uptown, Midtown , Downtown and this is by far his favorite spot. If you get lucky enough you’ll spot a few celebrities. We truly LOVE this place it represents the true essence of NYC.
Fun and delicious
Loud so not for quiet conversation
Great city vibe
You can NEVER go wrong with a meal at Lure. Great food, awesome service and a hopping environment.
This was an amazing experience. I highly recommend this place for a date. Especially if you want to impress
