Lure was the last of 3 restaurants we visited on our latest trip to Atlanta. We had good expectations based on reviews. The restaurant itself is lovely. Our server was good, but I found it interesting that all of her "favorites" were the highest priced items on the menu in each category.
The Calamari was just okay. Not much flavor really. The entrees were good, but nothing really special. We had the scallops and the seafood stew. Nothing to write home about. The best part of the meal was the dessert. The chocolate cake with the mint chip ice cream was very good.
Perhaps our expectations were to high, based on others's tastes, but we were not impressed. Next year we will chose a different restaurant for our annual trip.
Best seafood in Atlanta. The octopus and pork appetizer, which my wife eats as a main dish, is nothing short of wonderful. I had the grilled trout, a whole fish fillet tableside with a mountian of greens. Delicious. The seafood stew is also terrific.
Birthday Brunch for the wife..we loved it, definitely will be back for dinner in the future!
The staff was so friendly and accommodating . The food was delicious.
The chef and the staff were right on point with the special food requests due to allergies for my friend.
Second visit here and was slightly disappointed. First time, we had a table for 4 and was seated inside where the ambiance is much nicer than the stark cold patio seating outside which is where my girlfriend and I were seated on our second visit.
Normally, I don't mind being away from the crowd but considering it was about 30 degrees and the heaters don't exactly distribute heat evenly, the seats were freazing cold and leaves kept falling onto our table. My girlfriend even made a comment about being placed "in the corner" to the waiter.
A while later, another couple and a young child was seated outside as well and one of the women had asked why they couldn't sit inside as there seemed to be enough tables. He stated that you needed to have a reservation, but I don't think he was entirely sure. My girlfriend and I had a reservation and were still placed on the patio - but in all fairness, I didn't ask to be moved but there were plenty of tables inside. The food wasn't quite as good as the first time. We both ordered the catfish. Crab dip is good and we love the peach zinger "bowl". We probably won't return.
I got together with a friend today and brunch was fabulous. He had the catfish sandwich meal, I had shrimp & grits and we shared a pitcher of margarita (lychee/grapefruit). Waiter was great. Food was delicious and drink was worth it. Highly recommended!!!
It’s one of my favorite ATL restaurants with lots of nice seafood choices for a person from inland. The food has been pretty consistent and the service was nice.
The food was delicious, our server was nice, but did not seem to be the most knowledgeable of the menu. We sat in the patio area where they had heaters, but there were slates in the celinging which kept dropping petals on the table. Not as great as the first time. Would try it again.
Great fresh seafood. Good drinks. Knowledgeable service. We will be back.
We loved our waitress! Her recommendations were spot on! She was super friendly and very attentive! Can’t wait to come back again!
