About Lure - Atlanta
Inspired by classic coastal traditions both American and global, Lure presents Atlanta"s freshest fish and the drinks to match in a converted 1920's bungalow. Anchored in the heart of Midtown on Crescent Avenue, Lure has a sophisticated but casual vibe, fluidly bridging the gap between a weathered seaside fish house and a fine-dining seafood restaurant. Join us dressed up or down for a four-course meal or a beer and platter of raw, chilled and really fresh oysters. It's Atlanta's fish house for the adventurer, the traditionalist, the hedonist, the fish-obsessed.

Lure - Atlanta Ratings and Reviews
We gathered at the Lure after a conference at the Atlanta History Center and before we drove back to Columbus. None of us had ever been to the restaurant before, but its ratings were excellent so we gave it a try. Food , service and ambiance were all excellent. We plan to return the next time an occasion brings us to Atlanta.
The food was fantastic! Chef Kevin prepared two fresh fish dishes, Grouper and Sole. Delicious . Both entries were served with accompanying sides that enhanced the main course.
The meal ended with a fabulous dessert, a coconut cake, light as air, with a lemon lime frosting , sitting on a bed of lemon curd! Yummy! Great service too!
Annual cousins weekend was a success! Learned a bit of history and enjoyed a delicious meal. Two thumbs up on the gumbo. Usually not a fan of okra in my gumbo, but the okra was tender and the gumbo did not have the slimy texture. Crab dip, pan fried sole and green beans prepared to perfection. And the donuts were sinfully tasty.
The menu offerings were creative and diverse, and they delivered on what was described. They have paired this well with a comprehensive wine list and cover creative drinks as well as after dinner drink options. I also enjoyed the layout and ambience, although when it is full, it can get somewhat noisy.
Took my granddaughter (16)out on a date and worried over the place to eat. Lure was a home run. Server was friendly and took his time with us. We thought we were pioneers eating octopus and it was delicious. Portions were just right for us and I did not feel like I had been robbed just to be in Midtown.
The food was great (though the menu could add a few more vegetarian options), but the drinks were sort of an issue, which was surprising at such a highly rated, popular place. There were 6 of us celebrating a birthday. Two people ordered prosecco. One person got a martini/cocktail glass, the other got it in a water glass. The waitress said the restaurant did not have flutes, then poured the prosecco from the water glass into a cocktail glass. Why offer anything with bubbles and not serve it in a champagne glass? Two guests ordered Moscow Mules (that tasted fantastic!), but the drinks were served in juice glasses/tumblers. The waitress told us the restaurant did not have copper mugs. Too bad, since a drink this good (and this trendy) should be served in the appropriate vessel. I ordered a Dirty Martini, which was served in a cocktail glass, not a martini glass (nitpicking on this one, but there is a difference), but the bar did not have blue cheese olives. Not a bad experience, but not what we expected.
I was in Atlanta for an overnight and wanted something delicious-easy to do in that city definitely, but was thinking about seafood. I was at the W Midtown with a car but didn't want to deal with traffic. Lure sounded great, and it didn't disappoint. The staff was friendly and made some wonderful suggestions. THe oysters were fresh and cold; the trout pate was smooth with a fun presentation, and my crude was absolutely delicious. I would definitely go back.
The ingredient quality seemed good. The preparation was bland. I was unaware that the trout came as a whole fish. The ritual fillet at table is novel but leaves other dinners on pause as their meals get cold. And there were still some bones. I was expecting a vegetable medley-ie carrots beans broccoli but got a salad instead.
There was no bread or other nibbles before the entree. Portions of main and sides was a bit stingy. Room gets very loud.
I just discovered this gem of a restaurant three weeks ago. It was on a Sunday in honor of my birthday. Here I am again for Sunday Brunch with friends. We are planning to ‘eat’ our way thru the menu. From beginnings thru dessert - a gastronomic delight! Our service staff was most congenial. The best compliment that I can give to Lure is my continued support of the establishment.
creative subtle flavor pairings of seafood and vegetables: scallops with swiss chard a standout, so was grilled salmon fillet in fregola tomato brodetto, appetizers were also superb: octopus came in sizzling mini skillet, creamy arancini, delicious smoked trout paté, tuna crudo equally wonderful. Great meals two nights in a row!
Great vibe, and seating out on the patio was lovely. Lively feel and really outstanding server. The menu is excellent and both the grouper and the scallops were outstanding. Great fish cooked just right. Wine selection is judicious, had a very nice Sancerre. Overall, a great place to eat and to hang out.
