Anchored in the heart of Midtown on Crescent Avenue, Lure has a sophisticated but casual vibe, fluidly bridging the gap between a weathered seaside fish house and a fine-dining seafood restaurant. Join us dressed up or down for a four-course meal or a beer and platter of raw, chilled and really fresh oysters. It's Atlanta's fish house for the adventurer, the traditionalist, the hedonist, the fish-obsessed.

Lure - Atlanta Ratings and Reviews
Many of the dishes were good but the trout which the server recommended was mediocre at best and I had no desire than to eat a few bites. The fish was mushy and lacked any flavor. Based on the fish it appeared it was being pushed to get rid if it not because of its quality.
The risotto fritters and green beans were both excellent.
Lure was the last of 3 restaurants we visited on our latest trip to Atlanta. We had good expectations based on reviews. The restaurant itself is lovely. Our server was good, but I found it interesting that all of her "favorites" were the highest priced items on the menu in each category.
The Calamari was just okay. Not much flavor really. The entrees were good, but nothing really special. We had the scallops and the seafood stew. Nothing to write home about. The best part of the meal was the dessert. The chocolate cake with the mint chip ice cream was very good.
Perhaps our expectations were to high, based on others's tastes, but we were not impressed. Next year we will chose a different restaurant for our annual trip.
A real Class Act. Had a great meal and excellent service. Maria did an outstanding job. The crab dip appetizer was a pleasant surprise. Instead of being heavy with cheese it was a tasty blend wit lots of crab and tomato pieces. Light and a great start. Perfect amount for two to share. Our fish entries were excellent. The presentation was beautiful and everything tasted great. I chose a single scoop of blackberry mint sorbet for dessert, an outstanding choice. Real sorbet and just a small serving, not real heavy on mint. I was also impressed with how the manager reacted to a comment I had made to the waitress, Maria, about a bad experience at one of their partner restaurants. He went out of his was to be sure this experience was positive.
Second visit here and was slightly disappointed. First time, we had a table for 4 and was seated inside where the ambiance is much nicer than the stark cold patio seating outside which is where my girlfriend and I were seated on our second visit.
Normally, I don't mind being away from the crowd but considering it was about 30 degrees and the heaters don't exactly distribute heat evenly, the seats were freazing cold and leaves kept falling onto our table. My girlfriend even made a comment about being placed "in the corner" to the waiter.
A while later, another couple and a young child was seated outside as well and one of the women had asked why they couldn't sit inside as there seemed to be enough tables. He stated that you needed to have a reservation, but I don't think he was entirely sure. My girlfriend and I had a reservation and were still placed on the patio - but in all fairness, I didn't ask to be moved but there were plenty of tables inside. The food wasn't quite as good as the first time. We both ordered the catfish. Crab dip is good and we love the peach zinger "bowl". We probably won't return.
The food was delicious, our server was nice, but did not seem to be the most knowledgeable of the menu. We sat in the patio area where they had heaters, but there were slates in the celinging which kept dropping petals on the table. Not as great as the first time. Would try it again.
The service was not great. We were not on informed of missing items before ordering. We were rushed to make orders because the kitchen was closing although the only reason we were late was because we had to wait at the bar for 20 minutes for a table even though we did have reservations. The food was very good but the lack of service prevent from a good experience.
Second time dining there. Went on business in June and for New Year's eve with family. The pan fried sole and baked grouper were outstanding. Prawn dish was average, not sure why chefs think green beans are good when they're crunchy, but other than that outstanding place. Wine list has great value bottles on up to expensive choices. Desserts were fabulous. We shared peanut butter sundae and mint chocolate cake. We'll be back!
My wife and I went to Lure as our New Year's eve dinner .
Parking is non-existent unless you pay $20 for public parking or valet parking for $5.00 with validated ticket (Lure will validate).
We were 15 minutes early for our reservation but were able to be seated within a couple of minutes.
There was no rush for our orders as we tasted the Octopus, clam chowder and seafood gumbo.
All of the appetizers were delicious. My wife had one additional lobster appetizer for her dinner and I had their short rib with king crab new years eve special. Both were outstanding.
We finished the night with a mint ice cream and dark chocolate fudge cake, fortunately we shared that as it was delightfully rich.
Overall we spent about an hour and 1/2 for dinner and conversation and never felt rushed.
We would probably visit again if a proper occasion arises.
This is our second time at Lure. We've eaten both on the patio and inside the restaurant. Both were great experiences, although different. The patio is much more casual and was great before our pre-Cirque dinner. Inside the restaurant was perfect for our college graduation celebration with family. LOVE this restaurant.
My girlfriend and I came here to try a new restaurant out before going to see Mike Birbiglia. We got to the restaurant about 30 mins before our reservation so we hung out at the bar. We both ordered some oysters and the trout dip along with some drinks. After being seated we got ordered the pork and octopus wraps which were fantastic! For entrees I was recommended the grouper and my girlfriend got the mahi mahi steak and we were both very satisfied with our choices!
Honestly, our best experience came from our waiter, Kerry. He had good recommendations and he was hovering over us. When he would come by to refill our drinks, he wouldn't interrupt our conversation! It was better than most waiters who constantly come to the table and interrupt the conversation by asking what we needed.
Kerry waited on the table next to us and they had forgotten to print out some tickets to go see the Nutcracker. He went and got his manager and they were able to print off the tickets for them which was awesome!
We love Lure. It never disappoints us. The food is outstanding and the service is inviting and pleasant. The oysters are always fresh and delicious and our entrees were amazing last night. I had the trout and it was perfection. The dessert was delicious as well.
The grouper was wonderful. There was a good variety of appetizers and it was great to share amongst everyone. The fritters were really amazing as well as the broiled oysters. Desserts were also over the top great. We ate in the closed in porch area and the heaters kept us nice and warm. Great dinner overall!
