We came on a Saturday and I was so shocked at how empty the place was - felt silly telling the host we had a reservation. We started on the patio at a high top by the bar - not my first choice for a reserved table, but I wanted to give it a shot because it seemed nice and there are fans everywhere. We quickly found out that none of the fans hit the center at all and we soon melted in the humidity (+ the near-backless stools were very uncomfortable). It took a little over 15 min for our server to make it over for our drink order, and we asked then to move inside - which understandably throws a place for a loop, so that took another ~10 min but again the place was pretty dead. We persevered, got our 1st drinks & put our order in. Some of the small plates are very exciting and creative, which kind of hyped us up for perfection with the other dishes. We shared the anchovy toast (7/10), oysters on the half shell (6/10 - fresh but dried out & served w/ a watered down mignonette), broiled oysters (7/10 - very standard), spicy crispy shrimp (7/10 - essentially buffalo shrimp + Asian garnishes), Aguachile (10/10 - one of the exciting ones!), Blue Crab Tamale (9/10 - exciting concept, decent execution, but pumpkin mole was a little strange for July). We each had a rum cocktail (9/10 for both, and mine was N/A) and glasses of wine. There were several points where we were just kind of sitting waiting with empty drinks and plates. The host (or manager?) jumped in a few times and we didn’t leave with a bad taste - we’d like to come back in the fall for some of the offerings, I think they’d be better fitting then (shrimp bisque, mussels, crab tamale). But tbh, while we’re glad we gave it a go, I’m not sure if this restaurant is going to survive in Atlanta. The idea is there but the execution is not in full-gear, and between the lacking service and sorta cheesy/uncomfortable decor & atmosphere, I just don’t see it becoming anyone’s go-to spot.

Fabulous hospitality team and the food was even better than anticipated. Everything we ate was extremely fresh and flavorful. It’s was a wonderful meal and we look forward to returning.

Wow! What a pleasure to be back in Atlanta and have a meal at “Lure”. Our server Rissa was awesome and made excellent recommendations for our appetizers and entrees. Loved the signature cocktails too.

Brunch menu for Mother’s Day was very limited - no options for breakfast meat outside of bacon. Fish was bland and tasteless. Shrimp and Grits were very chunk. Appetizers were good (Oysters and shrimp). Just not a place I would come back too.
