Brunch was very delightful and the perfect portion.
Food was great and the two bartenders were very attentive and knew their menu very well.
Good stuff. Lure is always fantastic. Very personable service with expert menu knowledge. The wine suggestion was perfect, the cocktails the proper size. The fish here is always perfectly and creatively prepared. You have to pay for the good stuff, this isn't Red Lobster. So much nicer and more elegant than that place with the giant trout.
Great first visit to Lure. Was greeted very friendly when we arrived. Patrick was our server. All of his suggestions were spot on - cocktail, appetizers, main course and wine. He was very attentive and helpful. A must try is the grilled octopus lettuce wraps! Also really enjoy the seafood board appetizer. Excellent raw oysters and delicious pan seared sole. We will be back to Lure.
We really like the atmosphere and the outdoor “bubbles” seem pretty cool- guess those are for groups or you have to request them. Felt for the entree prices that they should come with a side. Had read that the catfish was really good and we thought it was ok- wouldn’t order it again. The salmon was good as were the hush puppies. We didn’t particularly liked the dipping sauce but asked for a different sauce and our waiter gladly brought us some. Overall it’s a decent place but will try somewhere different next time we are in Atlanta. PS I admit we are a “foodies” and love great food!
Atmosphere was very nice. Dark, but soft lighting. Our server was great. Food was just ok. We had hush puppies for appetizer, they were fantastic and the best tasting item we had. I had the grilled swordfish, nothing special, not even the taste, just bland. My husband had the catfish. He said it tasted like the river and was mostly batter. For almost $30 an entree I expected more flavor.
I ordered a clam chowder which was cold and poor taste.
Somebody else in our table ordered Gumbo and it was also cold. The waitress was asked to re heat it.
Crab fried rice was incredible. The gluten free options were overwhelmingly good and hard to decide what to choose. I would go back to this one again and again!
We made it known when making the reservation that it was my birthday, but nothing was done to acknowledge that other than a passing comment. Nonetheless, the server was very nice and very attentive....sometimes too much! The sole was exceptional. My drink was tasty but only about four sips in their small martini glasses. This is a pricey place, but food quality is good. We asked for rolls, and they charge $3 for soft dinner rolls from a package! This is ridiculous!
Lure was our pre symphony stop. I’m glad we picked it. The server was informative and attentive. The drinks, excellent as was the appetizer. My main course was fantastic as was dessert. I can’t wait to return.
Always always a great meal. Wonderful chef!! Waiters are exceptional!!
Fish lacked seasoning. Not my favorite place.
Great aesthetic atmosphere and everyone who worked there was very kind!
I hesitate to check 'yes' for recommend. This is my 2nd trip to Lure. My first visit was a few years back. A very nice upscale place, great seafood menu. Apps seemed a bit limited this trip. And the drinks.....Your liquor selection is weak and EXTREMELY OVER PRICED. I think all of maybe 1 or 2 Scotch and Bourbon offerings were < $20 a glass. SERIOUSLY??????????? If you are charging me $21 for a scotch and water it better be top shelf single malt $60-70 a bottle scotch. Not some Glenlevit crap.
Our server, Amy, really made our brunch outing memorable. The food was delicious too! Definitely coming back soon.
My husband and I love seafood and have wanted to try this restaurant for awhile. The service was phenomenal and the ambiance was nice. My husband had the catfish and I had the bass. Both of the dishes were absolutely delicious. My fish was cooked perfectly and my husband enjoyed the flavor of his catfish. However, both of us were greatly disappointed with the portions at this restaurant. My bass fish dish only had three pieces of asparagus and three fava bean in the dish. If we had know the veggies were merely a decoration we would have ordered some sides. We both left hungry and went to Publix to grab some more food to cook at home.
Fabulous night out for a birthday celebration. When we were leaving we realized the parking was $10 and we didn’t have the cash to pay it. She worked her magic and brought us the money to pay the valet. She was incredible and we appreciated the gesture. We will definitely go back.
We were a little early but were seated immediately. Our server was attentive and knew the menu well. We ordered drinks and a communal appetizer, the crab dip, which was wonderful. Our server was knowledgeable so able to assist with wine choices. The three of us all chose different main courses and all were excellent choices. The Louisiana catfish was excellently prepared, though I could not detect the jalapeño in the polenta cake. The appetizer scallops was one diner’s meal with a side of potatoes. She said they were fresh and delicious, as was the other fish enter. Coffee and a piece of chocolate cake completed a wonderful meal! I look forward to eating there again!
The food was amazing, as always. Our server was really sweet and nice, but a bit forgetful. She forgot to put our appetizers in and only remembered when we were getting ready to put in our entree orders and we also had to remind her of our drink order.
Otherwise it was perfect New Year’s Eve!
I've long thought this is Atlanta's best restaurant. You can't go wrong with any of the food -- close your eyes and point to anything on the menu and you will love it. The entrees are superb, but you can also make a delicious meal out of a couple of apps. The cocktails are fantastic. And the service is attentive and warm without being cheesy or intrusive. I love this place for dates, for dinner with a few friends; I also love to sit at the bar by myself with a glass of wine and an app. Really, this is a top-notch restaurant! I love it so much.
Lure seems like a nice Neighborhood spot that maybe specializes in seafood? Somewhat confusing menu though , items seemed to be a mishmash of everything. Once you get through that, most dishes we ordered were well presented and tasty. The smoked fish platter and fresh oysters were fresh and quite good. Service friendly and for the most part attentive. A little on the pricey side for a neighborhood restaurant.
Loved the service! Loved the food! The bartender was the weak link, but they took the drink off the bill. Would go back anytime just for the oysters!! Yummy. And again, the staff is fantastic
From tasty food to Laura’s warm hospitality, the entire experience was first rate, as always.
Clam chowder was poor. Too soupy. Not thick enough. Not enough clams. Swordfish was tasty but portion too small. Should have been served with a rice or pasta. Overall very average food. Good service. Portions much too small. Poor value for price. Left restaurant and had to eat again in 2 hours. Overall not a good experience and will not return. Would not recommend. Too many really good restaurants in Atlanta. This one will probably not survive.
Loved the octopus and pork lettuce wrap!
One of mine and my wife's favorite restaurants here in Atl. We are huge 5th Group fans and sat primarily only at his restaurants.
Delicious seafood dinner with a great vibe!
Food was great, ambiance was beautiful. The service was ok, the server seemed a little scattered, and didn’t always respond quickly to requests.
Overall a good experience, and would visit again.
The young woman who served us was a delight. Knowledgeable, forthcoming and on top of things.
Decent menu, although it might afford a few more seafood options. Service was a somewhat mechanical and the server whisked my dinner plate away before I had an opportunity to finish it.
Food was pretty good, but it was loud!! We ate off of the appetizer menu which was enough for us..
I’m going to keep this review short because I’ve previously reviewed this restaurant. Suffice to state the host and waitress were very warm and friendly. The food was excellent. The ambience is nice. The only negative was the $10 + tip for valet parking. If on street parking had been available, it would have been a perfect evening.
I njoyed my experience at Lure a ton. The food was great, the service was awesome, and the venue was gorgeous. My only hitch was that the serving sizes were really small. I realize this is subjective for many, but this was my perspective. After doubling up on appetizers, killing the main course, and ordering dessert, I still left hungry.
Overall good food, attentive service staff, dining experience was very good. Value was a bit on the high side. but, based on the area it is in a good choice.
WONDERFUL DINING EXPERIENCE
Was looking for a new favorite seafood restaurant, now that Goin' Coastal in Virginia Highland had closed. LURE is it. The ambiance is cool and clubby and the seafood selections are quite a bit different than more traditional southern restaurants that offer this cuisine. Service was prompt and unobtrusive. Everyone in my party thoroughly enjoyed their selections.
Food and service were good. Fish a little dry and over spiced. Small portion for cost. Apps were above average with calamari and crab dip but nothing mind blowing. $10 valet is absurd. Wait staff friendly and attentive but ready to turn the table quickly even though meal got up to about $200. Won’t be clamoring to get back. Forgetful meal other than close proximity to hotel and crab dip app.
One of the more upscale options in Midtown. They have a great bar menu and a highly knowledgeable staff.
Me and my wife were celebrating our Anniversary and decided to visit this restaurant. Our waitress showed great Customer service and the food tasted good as well. Although they temporary had a banned on any water products and beverages, but overall our experience was great!!
Food was excellent and very well presented. Chef very willing and artfully adjusted a menu item to accommodate gluten and dairy free restrictions.
Our server Hannah helped us create a great 3 course meal. Started with refreshing house made spiked sodas and fresh oysters, followed by perfectly cooked octopus and pork lettuce wraps that were delicious and fun to eat, and finished with a fresh, tender, buttery grilled whole trout, paired well with a wine recommended by Hannah.
