The restaurant was very clean and nice ambiance however, I was very disappointed with my food. It was our 1st time there and the chargrill oysters were so small and not good at all. As a matter of fact they are not even chargrilled. They should be called baked oysters The shrimp and corn bisque wasn't good either. It had to much of a tomato base. However, my husband had the sea bass and the seasoning was really good but the fish was overcooked.
A great meal, and some surprises on a refreshed menu. While we had a reservation for a table, we arrived early to have a drink at the bar and had such a nice conversation with Hakim, our bartender, that we stayed and thoroughly enjoyed our time. Our two appetizers - charred Spanish octopus and hushpuppies - were delicious. My spouse's flounder was just slightly overcooked but still good, and my sea bass was excellent. And the Lure Sundae was the perfect way to top everything off. One of our go-tos for a friendly staff and great food.
Sea bass was delicious!
Gets better every time I go. Chef and Management come off as enjoying what they do. All courses Yummy! Can't wait to go back!
The food was not good at all. Made a horrible first date experience. My date’s catfish bites were too salty she returned them. My flounder was very under seasoned. The staff was very nice. Won’t be returning.
Wonderful seafood with a fresh, creative Southern take. Oysters and hushpuppies for are a must!
My hubby and I had a beautiful, romantic evening at Lure. Our waitress, Barry, was helpful and attentive. The food was fabulous. Everything we hoped for!
Beautiful restaurant. Amazing staff. I ordered the seared salmon, which I feel was overpriced for the portion size. Very good though.
We have been to Lure several times before covid and this is our 1st visit after being vaccinated. I was looking forward to coming due to it being my birthday and 35th wedding anniversary. It was the worst food and service ever! It even made me and my husband sick to our stomachs shortly after eating. We will never be back and I don't recommend them at all. Now I know why the waitress kept saying that they have a new chef, so I guess that is why the food was so tasteless. The server was just as bad, bland.
Fantastic food and great customer service! Will definitely go back when I’m in town.
Great drinks, food and patio! Service was awesome as well.
Each dish my husband and I ordered exceeded expectations. The food was fresh, well-seasoned, cooked to perfection, and with a dash of imagination. Even the complementary bread was note worthy! The wine list offered a good/ample selection and the cocktails (though we didn't try any this time) looked creative and delicious. Also, kudos to the wait staff who were friendly, efficient, and helpful. Our meal was a delight!
We used to LOVE this restaurant pre-COVID. Came here often and bought gift certificates to help them stay afloat during COVID.
We went back for our first time since COVID and my have things changed! Not in a good way. The apps and desserts are now slimmed down to easy to compose dishes (not sophisticated at all) and our entrees were poorly cooked and poorly seasoned. Sea scallops need a sear. Any chef knows that. It's not hard: oil plus butter and high heat. Scallops are REALLY hard to mess up for an amateur cook, yet they were here. The octopus app was advertised as chargrilled but it was sous vide'd instead. We sent it back.
Seems like everything on the menu was designed to be prepared by someone who lacked culinary skills. Makes me think they fired all the chefs and only have line cooks now preparing old recipes from chefs long ago. Either that or they're trying to manufacture food that require little prep, so as to make do with fewer cooks/chefs.
We really like the outdoor area but they have to do something about the gnats. Like me, they love the Lure cocktails. Two landed and died in my gin drink. And they kept buzzing the table all night. The only thing sadder than their alcoholic death was our quality of meal. Our dinner here before COVID i would have ranked a solid A. This was C-/D+ territory.
Our waitress was fantastic and we make sure we tipped her well. This lousy dinner wasn't her fault.
BTW - we heard the table next to us asking for the manager and then complaining about the food. We had just sat down at the time and sorta giggled because we thought they were complaining about nothing. That's how sure we were of this place. Then realization hit and they were probably right to complain.
The food was very good and the wait staff was outstanding. Recommend
Best meal I’ve had in Atlanta post covid
There wasn’t much to the menu, but everything that the table ordered was absolutely amazing. The crab dip was phenomenal and the hush puppies were the best I’ve ever had. Salmon and red snapper with veggies were so satisfying and tasty. We enjoyed our food so much that there was not room for dessert (either strawberry shortcake or banana split). The ambience was lovely; it was cool enough to sit on the outdoor area and it made for a wonderful evening with friends.
wonderful meal on patio. dinner for two consisting of fresh Maryland oysters, grouper, sea scallops, hush puppies and dessert with wine & expresso for less than $150. we will go back
Food was awesome! Service was amazing!
The food was very good as usual, but the service stunk. Our waitress basically threw stuff at us, nothing in its proper place. She wasn't rude, just clueless. When I'm paying $35 an entree and nearly $60 for a $12 bottle of wine, I expect a memorable experience. This was memorable all right, I'll remember not to come here again until I have confirmation they have their act together.
Our server was great. I like longer dinners and not to feel rushed out of my table. She checked in periodically but didn’t hover. Food was good and not heavy. The way seafood should be 😁
Awesome service and AMAZING food!!
The punch bowl is a MUST to start off your night right. Plus the flourless chocolate cake with the peanut butter gelato is scrumptious.
Best Strawberry Shortcake ever. Manager was attentive to my needs. She ever had the chef make a special sauce for me. Can't wait to go back.
Enjoyed all the food and the setting outside is very nice.
The food was great, our server was knowledgeable and very helpful. The ambience was very pleasant. The only criticism would be parking. Otherwise I was very satisfied and will be back again.
2nd time here. Service has been great both times. The food is very good, they provided complimentary champagne because it was our anniversary. I would highly recommend.
The atmosphere was nice and low key! The food was delicious and nicely portioned !
Family dinner celebrating summer fun.
Food was amazing, and the cocktails were great! This place was perfect for a date night!
I always love Lure. Great food and atmosphere. Cocktails were really good and creative as well. Wonderful night
Solid, we dine there fairly often, they are about to change up the menu. You can get $100 gift cards for $80 at Costco.
The ambiance and service were great, but our food majorly missed the mark. Most of our dishes were oily and completely flavorless. For starters, our crab dip was oily, flavorless, thin and runny, and overtaken with chopped tomatoes (there were far more tomatoes than crabmeat). The octopus and pork wraps were not memorable as they were very mild in flavor. The barbecue shrimp entrée was oily and tasted like an ultra bland shrimp creole that any New Orleans chef or local would scoff at. The red snapper was slightly overcooked and extremely bland. The scallop dish was also bland and the scallops were oily, soft and without a sear. We were so disappointed in our appetizers and entrees that we declined on dessert.
Birthday occasion was amazing. Date night with my sweetheart at one of our favorite restaurants in Atlanta. Perfect spicy margaritas and mouth watering seafood dishes. We enjoyed ourselves. Five stars !!
Lure is always my go-to for special occasions. By far the best seafood in Atlanta.
Everything was perfect- the food, the ambiance, the staff 😍
First time for both of us at Lure but it was awesome.
Scallops were to die for and service was great.
Grilled Octopus EXCELLENT
Snapper was EXCELLENT
Scallops were EXCELLENT
Crab Dip was short on crab.
We loved our experience at Lure! It was our first time and we decided to try multiple items. The pork and octopus wraps were fantastic, and the crab dip was beyond delicious. Our meals came out timely and just the right temperature. We sat on the patio and it was a beautiful night. We hope to visit Atlanta again soon and will be back to dine!
Good for seafood selections, and most accommodating to a need to avoid over spicey. Also grand that they work with Compost Now!
