Always great food and service. Very consistent.
My friend and I had an amazing time! We loved the staff and the food was phenomenal!
We can came for a birthdays and the food was exceptional. The service was great.
Just a must!!
Servers were great but the fettuccine made both of us feel ill
Great service, food and wine advice.
Was noisy until an adjacent party left.
We were fortunate to dine on the main floor as a previous evening we were upstairs and it was very noisy. One hard surface bouncing off another hard surface. In every other aspect the restaurant is a gem.
Lupo never disappoints!
The food is reliably good here, with nicely crafted specials and great attention to detail.
Service is professional and friendly, and at Lupo they don't try and rush you out the door in two hours or less.
Every thing was top notch from the service to the food.
I would highly recommend it. We will be back
Our first, and definitely not the last time we will visit Lupo. The staff is very knowledgeable of their menu offerings and wine pairings. Very attentive without being in our face.
The food was as promised - however, large portions. Quality is top notch.
Good service and food. Server was attentive. Close to arena
ok service - seems like we got ignored several times
pay parking on streets
good ambiance /romantic/ special occasion
good food, really enjoyed most of the dishes
fine dining prices
if i had to choose 1 dish: black cod and creme brulee for dessert
would i go back? yes, for special occasion
One of Vancouver's best restaurant which just seems to improve with age. Lupo quietly goes about the business of serving superb food in an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere - so quietly I keep forgetting its there. After last week's meal their number is on speed dial. Rare is the occasion where I am compelled to mention the service (unless it is poor) but in this case I would be remiss NOT to. Our server, Melanie, was one of the best I've had - EVER. Melanie's knowledge of the menu, attentive but unobtrusive service, and absolutely engaging personality elevated a good meal to great. Melanie, we will be looking forward to seeing you next visit!!
The waitress served us was really nice and gave us really good recommendations. We sat a table near the window, The view outside was good. The food was tasty and enjoyable, especially the appetizer, ham with greens, The best for The night.
Incredible food and very attentive service. Food was brought to out table at just the right time so we could enjoy each course without feeling rushed but also without waiting. The atmosphere was romantic and special. The food was delicious, interesting yet not so unusual as to feel too foreign to the palate. A definite repeat!
Awesome food, great service, great price, will be back soon!
Always fabulous food, comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. One of my favorite restaurants in Vancouver.
First, let me say that my wife and I love incredible food and a carefully curated wine list, but we are forever won over by attentive, caring wait staff.
The food Friday evening was sublime. We ordered the deconstructed goat cheese beet salad. Incredible. Next we sampled the gnocchi al buffalo e pomodoro, which was quite good. Our secondi piatti, the grilled hanger steak and vitello marsala, were authentic and perfectly plated. Bravo!
But something is a bit off at Lupo.
Why? The service was heavy handed, clunky, ununspired and, frankly, disappointing. Really? A 5* restaurant represented by wait staff who blindly memorize the menu options but cannot explain the chef's creative expressions when pressed for more detail? I would expect that kind of treatment at Tim Horton's but not at Lupo.
Let me assure you the food at Lupo was spectacular; however, the wait staff, not so much .
We crave an interesting and exciting dining experience for our hard earned dollar. We don't need our expectations "phoned in", as my wife puts it, by a substandard waiter.
Why do nice restaurants not spend the time to properly train professional waitstaff? Why did the gentleman who served us immediately turn away after asking how we liked our first bites, never waiting to hear a response? I for one find this unacceptable when paying $40-$60 for an entree. The chef at Lupo deserves more. His creations were spectacular. It is disappointing to know that his front-of-house staff did not share the same attention to detail and excellence as the kitchen staff. I think I will take my important clients elsewhere to be treated as a special, respected client. Lupo staff needs to up their game to match chef's great food. Anything less is unfair to Lupo's reputation.
Top notch all around. One of the best restaurants in Vancouver. Mo is a great server.
It was one of the best experience I have ever had in Vancouver. The food was outstanding and the automasphetr was great. The only thing I did not like was the light，hope I can get a lighter place next time.
Lupo is fantastic. The food is inspired and delicious and the service is extraordinarily hospitable. This is a great upscale, yet informal and warm, Italian restaurant. Go.
We love Lupo and eat there often.
Love homey atmosphere of middle room. Service accommodating. Good great.
Great service, our server was knowledgeable about the food and menu. She was attentive when needed and relaxed enough to leave us alone to enjoy our meal. Food was fabulous. Would definitely go back.
Excelente restaurante Italiano. Cocina elaborada, calidad de alimentos, ambiente muy tranquilo y agradable y servicio muy profesional.
This is a consistent high quality restaurant that will never let you down.
Nice ..expensive for what you get
Authentic Italian cuisine along with excellent service. We have eaten there several times and have never been disappointed.
Solid food. Every item we ordered was great except the veal was too salty for me. Attentive service and great atmosphere.
The food there was simply amazing; the pasta was very fresh and flavours for everything we ordered. Definitely a bit of a hidden gem, but cannot recommend enough for special occasions!
Best Italian outside os Italy. Had the gnocchi, yum and the tiramisu- yum! VERY AUTHENTIC!
Everything was exceptional. I have dined at Lupo’s for many occasion and every time I single time I’ve dined in, it never disappoints. The only thing that I was not too happy with was with this last visit was with my drink, the waitress accidentally gave me the wrong drink, but fixed the order right away. Other than that, she was a great, nice, friendly and pleasant. I would definitely recommend Lupo.
Amazing in every way. One the best restaurants in Vancouver!
-service was excellent
-best Margarita I've probably ever had, however the Server let us know that there is full-service bar so should be able to order typical cocktails; my friend wanted a Mojito but no mint :/
-Fresh-baked focaccia bread fell short for me. It tasted like Pizza Hut crust :/ Which I love, but did not expect them to taste the same! It was very bready and oily, and not enough of the toppings flavours.
-my friend and I shared the warm goat cheese salad and the Burrata. The Burrata was incredible. The goat cheese salad was very nice
-My friend ordered the duck confit special, she said it was amazing
-I ordered the Taglierini - It was delicious and very decent-sized portion
-We shared the Dulche de leche creme brulee, it was delicious
The food was amazing and the manhattan’s were to die for!
Been on my list for a while to hit up and really enjoyed it. The food and flavours were really extremely well done. I had a seafood soup which was some of the best I’ve ever had.
Food is consistently delicious. Ambiance is lovely for quiet dinner, girls' night or date night. Service is always gracious and this time was no exception. I ordered a bottle of the house pinot grigio which upon opening & tasting, was just ok. Our server (sorry, I didn't get her name) suggested I try the Trebbiano, assuring me that it was no problem at all. She proceeded to open and pour a taster for me, whereupon I said much better. She asked if I was happy with it or would I like to try the Riesling? I told her this one was fine, that I didn't want her to open another bottle. She said no problem & got me a little bit of the Riesling to taste. Turns out I like the Trebbiano better. I was surprised & impressed by her single-minded determination to ensure I enjoyed whatever bottle of wine I ordered. Amazing customer service! Now, on to the meal. The burata and crostini (tonight's special) was deliciously creamy and the accompanying greens were nicely seasoned. The short rib ravioli was incredibly good. The fetuccini with black truffles (another special) was simply divine. The sablefish with soy orange marinade was perfectly executed. Panna cotta was just okay but the Dulce de leche cheesecake was the perfect finish to a wonderful meal.
My husband and I took our 2.5 year old daughter here for dinner after the Whitecaps game. They were really nice. They put us in the back (which was good as you never know what your child will do) and the service was great. Our daughter enjoyed her pasta and we had a nice casual dinner. We normally have gone here for date nights (seated in the front lol) and this also is a great spot for this. I don’t think they normally have children come in but we would go back with her. Thanks!
This restaurant has the best Cesare salad I have ever had. Ever. I love the atmosphere. My main dish was veal cannelloni and I wouldn't order again. It came in a white cheese sauce and was tasty but too rich.
Cozy atmosphere, pretty small portions sizes. You need to order a lot of plates to get full.
One of the best Italian restaurants in the city - everything from start to finish was excellent.
