Authentic Italian cuisine along with excellent service. We have eaten there several times and have never been disappointed.
Solid food. Every item we ordered was great except the veal was too salty for me. Attentive service and great atmosphere.
The food there was simply amazing; the pasta was very fresh and flavours for everything we ordered. Definitely a bit of a hidden gem, but cannot recommend enough for special occasions!
Best Italian outside os Italy. Had the gnocchi, yum and the tiramisu- yum! VERY AUTHENTIC!
Everything was exceptional. I have dined at Lupo’s for many occasion and every time I single time I’ve dined in, it never disappoints. The only thing that I was not too happy with was with this last visit was with my drink, the waitress accidentally gave me the wrong drink, but fixed the order right away. Other than that, she was a great, nice, friendly and pleasant. I would definitely recommend Lupo.
Amazing in every way. One the best restaurants in Vancouver!
-service was excellent
-best Margarita I've probably ever had, however the Server let us know that there is full-service bar so should be able to order typical cocktails; my friend wanted a Mojito but no mint :/
-Fresh-baked focaccia bread fell short for me. It tasted like Pizza Hut crust :/ Which I love, but did not expect them to taste the same! It was very bready and oily, and not enough of the toppings flavours.
-my friend and I shared the warm goat cheese salad and the Burrata. The Burrata was incredible. The goat cheese salad was very nice
-My friend ordered the duck confit special, she said it was amazing
-I ordered the Taglierini - It was delicious and very decent-sized portion
-We shared the Dulche de leche creme brulee, it was delicious
The food was amazing and the manhattan’s were to die for!
Food is consistently delicious. Ambiance is lovely for quiet dinner, girls' night or date night. Service is always gracious and this time was no exception. I ordered a bottle of the house pinot grigio which upon opening & tasting, was just ok. Our server (sorry, I didn't get her name) suggested I try the Trebbiano, assuring me that it was no problem at all. She proceeded to open and pour a taster for me, whereupon I said much better. She asked if I was happy with it or would I like to try the Riesling? I told her this one was fine, that I didn't want her to open another bottle. She said no problem & got me a little bit of the Riesling to taste. Turns out I like the Trebbiano better. I was surprised & impressed by her single-minded determination to ensure I enjoyed whatever bottle of wine I ordered. Amazing customer service! Now, on to the meal. The burata and crostini (tonight's special) was deliciously creamy and the accompanying greens were nicely seasoned. The short rib ravioli was incredibly good. The fetuccini with black truffles (another special) was simply divine. The sablefish with soy orange marinade was perfectly executed. Panna cotta was just okay but the Dulce de leche cheesecake was the perfect finish to a wonderful meal.
My husband and I took our 2.5 year old daughter here for dinner after the Whitecaps game. They were really nice. They put us in the back (which was good as you never know what your child will do) and the service was great. Our daughter enjoyed her pasta and we had a nice casual dinner. We normally have gone here for date nights (seated in the front lol) and this also is a great spot for this. I don’t think they normally have children come in but we would go back with her. Thanks!
This restaurant has the best Cesare salad I have ever had. Ever. I love the atmosphere. My main dish was veal cannelloni and I wouldn't order again. It came in a white cheese sauce and was tasty but too rich.
Cozy atmosphere, pretty small portions sizes. You need to order a lot of plates to get full.
One of the best Italian restaurants in the city - everything from start to finish was excellent.
Came here for my birthday with family. Food was awesome, service was awesome, overall had a great experience at Lupo!
Cozy ambience in old house. Very busy Saturday night but staff was very pleasant and efficient. The noise level was high but we had a nice corner table for two.
Food was excellent- excellent mixed salad with fresh cheese and balsamic reduction. The gnocchi was perfectly prepared in a tasty tomato sauce. The duck confit was very flavourful, although a bit over cooked.
All in all, very pleasant dinner in a special place.
Service and food were excellent...will go back again soon!
Had a wonderful evening. Ambiance and food was excellent.
Great dinner on a snowy night. We were going to theatre but they paced everything nicely. Loved the fettuccine truffles , duck confit, and salmon.
Parm soufflé was outstanding. Christina was great.
This is a warm, intimate dining experience and a great pre/concert location. A few tables in each room make it feel like you're in a home. My friend and I shared the roasted beet salad which was a perfect sharing size. One of us had the gnocchi and the other had the ravioli special. Both were excellent. Great service without feeling rushed.
Staff accommodated us as we arrived early. They made us feel welcomed and relaxed. We loved the place all cozy and warm. Our food was perfect and paired with a smooth red wine. We will definitely return and will share our experience with our friends!
Fantastic food!!! Expensive, but you get what you pay for most times. We went there because it was rated as one of Vancouver’s most romantic restaurants, but I would say that’s not how we felt. There was track lighting everywhere, quite bright. Dimming would have helped, but then maybe servers couldn’t see. It was way too bright to be romantic. No visible fireplace from where we sat. Great food as I said, but if you are looking for romantic, not good for that in my opinion.
Great restaurant! Our server July took care of us last year as well and we were back here for our anniversary. The service here is on point.
This was our first visit to Lupo, but it will not be our last. Fantastic service, friendly, and knowledgeable The food was amazing, and presented well. Good selection for Gluten Free
Nice, cozy atmosphere. The food was great. Pasta dishes were really good especially the wild mushroom pasta. The lamb shank was a bit dry, but tasty.
We had an absolutely great dinner at Lupo. We are from out of town and were not familiar with the restaurant when we decided to go. The restaurant is set in a beautiful restored house and the service is exceptional. I had the romaine salad and the Nero pasta with lobster and shrimp. We would definitely return to this gem.
It would be perfect if they have a parking.
My very close friends were able to take my reservation and they really enjoyed their experience
First time here....Great food, service and ambiance!
We’ll be back!
Our 3rd visit - with Lupo hitting it out of the park three times in a row!
I came here for everyday dining with a friend. I love the setting and quiet atmosphere of this restaurant. The freshly baked focaccia was amazing. The rack of lamb was also very tender and juicy. The special black truffle fettuccine of the night however was more greasy than tasty...
Food is simply delicious. We will definitely come back very soon!
We chose this restaurant because it's a 2-block walk from the QE Theatre, and it's Italian after all :). It's in a renovated heritage home, and the ambience was quiet and welcoming - we sat on the second floor in the front. There are good options for gluten-free people and the kitchen seems flexible. For example, they have a great gluten free pasta you can substitute for $4 - it's well worth it because the GF pasta has the taste and feel of being home-made - maybe it is? Try the wild mushroom taglieri. The bufala salad was gorgeous and tasty and the creme brulee was a wonderful finish. My partner told me the caesar salad was the "best he had ever had" and this man knows what he is talking about! Go there soon, or at least go there before or after a show at the QE - you will not be disappointed.
Lovely ambiance and we especially liked the two salads we ordered. Service was friendly and prompt. Pasta was fresh and delicious. Dessert was a bit disappointing but the coffee was nice.
We went for dinner to celebrate Valentines Day early. Although surrounded by skyscrapers, the restaurant is in a 2-story home. The staff was great, very knowledgeable. I had the veal, and I guess my wife did too, because it sure felt like she kept asking me for more! She had the lamb shank, which I also thought was amazing, but the veal stole the show. Tiramisu for dessert was the perfect ending. We will definitely return if we come back to Vancouver.
Located only two blocks from the QE, making it a perfect spot for dinner before the show..
A wonderful dining experience. Service is amazing. It is expensive, but worth the splurge for special occasions.
The food was excellent the waiter attentive
