Lupo Restaurant & Vinoteca
This restaurant is consistently excellent
Told manager they should have a Michelin star! Overall a great dining experience.
Alles bestens! Tolles Essen, guter Service
First time dining at Lupo and will definitely be back. Excellent service, good ambience and charming location. Most importantly, the food was incredible. The Burrata starter was delicious. It was also the best gluten free pasta I’ve had, ever!
Fast service and very nice food with a good wine selection to accompany the menu. We are from Norway and speak fluent English , I am a native English speaker, but the waiter appeared to need to embellish the descriptions of the food and especially the specials, to a point where it was difficult for a non native speaker, or possibly a native speaker to understand what was on offer. He appeared more focused on his presentation than the customers’ understanding.
Simply fantastic. The special pasta enjoy!
Traveling and found this place. Food was very pleasant and nice service.
An old home was converted to a restaurant. Looking for a good reliable Italian restaurant and we found it.
Amazing wine selection. Pastas were perfect al dente. The lamb shank was tender and perfectly seasoned.
As usual Lupo doesn’t disappoint. In our group of 5, this was a first time for 2 of us. They also thought it was exceptional. I always have to have the burrata appetizer. The smear on the plate was different than I have had before. Didn’t care for the smear but my husband liked it. My husband’s carpaccio was excellent. I had the pork chop which was mouthwatering delicious. My husband had the sable fish special which he enjoyed. We also tasted the seafood special lemon pasta with lobster which was fabulous. I’m just looking forward to the next opportunity we are in Vancouver for an event so we can go back to Lupo
My husband & I had a great dinner, there was a good variety on the menu. We had our PADS dog with us so we were very happy with being tucked in a corner where it wasn't too busy although she slept under the table the whole time. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable and I look forward to going back.
Restaurant was very full and noisy, because most people were going to the Paul McCartney concert. I know the place can be much more intimate and quiet on regular weekday evening.
Starter was wagyu beef carpaccio which was truly amazing. Mains were a variety of pastas, lamb shank and salmon. All were innovative in terms of ingredients and taste. Definitely done with flair. Service was attentive in an intimate setting. Lots to love at this restaurant.
I went with my girlfriend and her colleague and husband for a Friday night dinner. The restaurant is quite elegant, in an old home and on two floors. The service was exemplary. The Burrata salad was delicious but not much greens.I was disappointed with my lamb shank which although very tender did not have much flavor. The accompanying cheese risotto was very tasty, however. My friends enjoyed all of their pastas. We were too full for dessert. Their wine selection was excellent and prices ok. Given all of the great food in Vancouver, however, I probably would not go back to this place, although I think it was good for a romantic dinner in which ambiance is important.
Excellent food and service. Street parking or paid right across the street.
Just as expected. My fave in Vancouver.
Great food!! Service and ambiance was exceptional. We would definitely go again for any special occasion!!!
As always the food absolutely Lupo!!! Always keeps us thinking of the next time we visit. The service five star as one would expect.
We came here due to high reviews from yelp and google. However, their day must’ve been off. The pasta was slimy with the rabbit ragout. The lamb shank lacked the depth in flavour, and was also very salty.
The wagyu carpaccio was bland....
Just a disappointment.
Birthday not acknowledged and poor quality food
Really good food and service!we will come here again!
Pretty decent food. 26 bucks for a small plate of meat and pickled mini veg. Steak was great but zero seasoning. Took us half an hour to get our bill and pay. Our server was very kind and knowledgable.
Great meal! Great staff! Always can count on Lupo!
We really enjoyed Lupo. Ate there twice during a one-week stay in Vancouver. The food was excellent. The venue in an historic victorian home was charming. Service was excellent.
The food was excellent. Several regular menu choices, and interesting specials. Service was excellent in every respect.
A pre-concert meal that left us both completely satiated but certainly wanting to return again soon! The salads were divine and the pasta impeccable. I have always enjoyed the food at Lupo and once again I was overwhelmed with the quality and taste of the offerings. The beet salad was incredible and the fettuccini with prosciutto and asparagus was wonderful. The service was excellent as always. I can’t wait to go back!
We were extremely disappointed in the service . Waiter switched us off to someone else, who was a server, so he could pay more attention to a table of eight. Neither waiter paid us attention. Plates left on the table that I had to clear personally. There was no table cloth, unlike others, so water and crumbs collected and are not wiped off. I had to use the bread napkin to wipe down the table between courses. The food was very nice, above average, but not exceptional. Ambiance was above average. I would not recommend.
we had wonderful food, wonderful servers, and raved about the halibut to all our friends....great night
Best pasta we have had since Italy , would recommended this restaurant and certainly come back
Lupo has a great ambience, the staff are friendly and the food beautifully prepared and served. Some of the serving staff need a refresher in how NOT to stretch over the table when placing cutlery and plates. Having said that I made a special request at reception and it was carried out perfectly so that was impressive.
Always a pleasant experience.
Awesome restaurant - very cute and quaint with delicious food.
This was the second time We'd been to Lupo. Food was outstanding & the service was impeccable!!
Returned to Lupo after thoroughly enjoying it 25 years ago, sadly we were let down. Sat in the back of the second floor with a large tv on the wall over our heads reduced the charm we remembered. Both the “special” appetizers were a miss, lacked flavor and imagination. Expensive rib eye came without sauce on dry vegetables. Service was excellent but all in all an expensive experience.
Location is fine, serves Good honest food, nice decor, great service!
Excellent pasta with rabbit. I will be back. Live in Victoria no restaurant comes close
The food was delicious. The portions were quite generous. I did find it odd that a restaurant of this calibur and price charges you for a basket of bread! Really? I'm spending $36 for an entree and you charge me for bread? I think that is really stingy on their part. They also have nothing to drink with your dinner if you don't want wine or water. No tea or anything. Again, odd.
For the price I would have expected the food to be better than it was. My husband had the lamb shank and said parts of it were tough.
We had a wonder dinner before going to the Andrea Bocelli concert. We were tight on time and the staff went above and beyond. The burrata was very fresh. As if it just came in from Italy!
Amazing food and "I WILL BE BACK"...
Thank you for a wonderful evening with celebrating my wife's birthday...
Lupo Restaurant is definitely my favorite place to dine in Vancouver!!! Perfect ambience, amazing service and of course the food was delicious!
