Lupo Restaurant & Vinoteca
Really good food and it’s a cute little restaurant very intimate, and great for a date. Loved that they had fresh truffles and the pasta was delicious. Lamb was fall off the bone tender and perfectly seasoned and they graciously let me change to the polenta which was superb. Only drawback was that the menu on the website that we had read was out of date and different from the menu we were given, so what we originally thought was available wasn’t. They did let us get the pasta as an appetizer as advertised on their website though so we did appreciate that. Now they just need to update their menu online.
Great food. Great service. Love this place!
One of our favourite eateries in Vancouver. We both had fantastic entree’s and shared a wonderful Burata
Btw we had a terrific Italian Chard as well
Very good food & atmosphere. Will go back there again for more food
Wonderful evening, romantic and cosy. Wonderful service and food. Highly recommended
Excellent food and great service. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Lupo to others.
Our server was great! Very attentive and pleasant to deal with.
Amazing dinner. I messed up our reservations but they kindly found us a seat on a busy night. Everything was so good but the truffle pasta was delicious. Great for a date night or even a business meal.
The food did not match the service. $233 dinner with a one of their less expensive wines ($85). A couple of appetizers (wagu carpaccio and a very delicious Parmesan Sformatto), taglierini pasta, quail, apple almond dessset, all shared. All these were tasty, however wine glasses were left empty and utinsels between courses were tossed onto the table totally haphazard. I don’t need the waiter to put the napkin in my lap (not done here) but the waitress didn’t seem
to care once the order was taken, others brought the food out, though she did check once that food was ok. We sat on the enclosed porch, and like the interior we could see through the window, not a very romantic spot (bright, loud), if that is something you are looking for. Bottom line is better places to go for overall value for a nice dinner out. With better service this would go up in rankings.
I really love this restaurant. Interesting dining environment in an old heritage house, on point Italian food, service always friendly and competent without being overbearing.
We have dined at Lupo many times. Their food is creative but last few times I found the food to be exceptionally salty.
Always excellent service, consistently fine food and knowledgeable staff. Great experience.
Haven't been to Lupo in a couple of years so decided to check it out while we were staying in Vancouver for a few days. Glad we went as meal was very nice.
I’ve ordered a bottle of red wine in the price range of $135 but was recommended by the waiter to try another one which costs 80% more. I finally ordered one, also recommended by waiter, at 40% more.
My experience at other restaurants is that waiters or connoisseurs usually make recommendations at a similar price range. So this is pretty unusual and put me at an uncomfortable position.
Went for hubbys birthday. Did not disappoint. Great service and great food.
Wonderful food, presentation and service. Highly recommend.
Service and ambiance are amazing. I've only dined there once but the food was very good. Have to try it again to get a better take on the cuisine.
Mo and staff are amazing this restaurant never disappoints!!!
We went for our 25th anniversary and enjoyed not only a divine meal, but the best, most thoughtful server ever!
Although we live in the Seattle area, we have been coming to Lupo for almost 25 years.
We totally loved this restaurant. It was our first time there and we felt like we scored...great food, excellent service and a lovely space. The next time that I am in Vancouver I will definitely return to Lupo.
I could take a bath in that truffle + creme sauce ❤️ Excellent service
Have reviewed this restaurant before about a year ago but we went back and it is still outstanding. There were five of us and we liked it so much, we came back the next night. Something for everyone and every dish and every appetizer was outstanding, as was the service.
Only negative would be that wine list is kind of pricey.
After an event at Queen Elizabeth. It always feels like a special occasion here! Amazing cooking using top ingredients. Caring service and good looking patrons make it
a lovely evening out!
We were happy sharing three fabulous dishes. Consistently excellent.
What a great find. Food, service, ambience at 5-Star level. Must go when in Vancouver, but don’t overwhelm this masterpiece.
We had a fabulous dinner before a concert. The server gave suggestions and we told him to bring whatever he thinks is good. Great food and great ambience.
My wife and I went for my birthday. Service was excellent, ambiance perfect, food wonderful! What more can I say?
I was seated in the corner of the second floor in front of the big LG TV, I have another table behind me which make the other person and myself very hard to sit comfortably. Please modify the table spot accordingly.
As always, we had a great evening at Lupo last Saturday after seeing the matinee of Book of Mormon. We always start with the Wagyu beef carpaccio because it’s so delicious. We tried the appetizer meatballs and loved them. For our entrees we had the mouth watering ribeye and ravioli special which was stuffed with braised short rib meat.
Happened upon this restaurant on our first evening in Vancouver. Luckily, we were able to be seated quickly without a reservation on a Sunday night but I doubt that is always true. We had a wonderful meal with equally wonderful service and a lovely table looking out into the "porch area". We decided to spend our last evening dining here because we didn't want to chance a different restaurant. We weren't disappointed, it was everything we had discovered the first time. We are glad that we made reservations through Open Table as the restaurant was busy with a couple larger groups.
I found this restaurant when I looked up restaurants close to Queen Elizabeth Theatre because we were going to a play and wanted to make a night of it. Boy did we pick the right place. The ambiance, food and service was fantastic. Will be back for sure!
Ate here on 24th Sept with my family after arriving back in Vancouver following 3 week tour. The food and service was excellent, with good local & international wine selections. Great choice on menu as well as daily specials. Cannot recommend highly enough for food lovers looking for good food in quiet atmosphere in converted old 20th century property.
Our food was delicious and service was wonderful. My dad wanted beer and they went out and got Peroni for him. It was a treat. Thank you!
Food was excellent....Service was good but we all found the waitress very cold. Ambiance was great and a nice place for a special occasion. A little pricey but a great experience.
Best Italian food I've ever had. Very authentic and unique compared to most Italian places. We had the signature foccacia bread to start as well the the burrata cheese with fresh vegetables. Both were amazing. I specifically never had burrata cheese before and it was absolutely an experience. For mains I had the daily special which was a truffle fettucini with a light butter sauce I think and my girlfriend had the veal and spinach canneloni. Both very different dishes, but both fantastic. The fettucini was very light, but had a very smooth and unique taste, it was the best pasta I've ever had. The canneloni on the other hand was cheesy and hearty, but the sauce was very unique as well and it was very tasty. We absolutely loved this place. It is quite expensive, for the food mentioned above as well as two glasses on the cheapest rose (about $12 for a glass) our bill came to almost $120. I would never pay that much for dinner on a regular basis. However, this is truly the best quality Italian restaurant in Vancouver and for a special occasion I absolutely recommend it!
This was an overall great experience. Appetizer was the octopus, very light and flavorful. First course was the seafood ravioli. It had a light reduction sauce and you could taste the lumps of seafood in the pasta. Third course was the elk and the fettuccini with truffles. Both were delectable. The appetizer took thirty minutes to come out, so be prepared to wait. But the service was very friendly and knowledgeable about their menu.
Great intimate old home with very good food. Unique venue with old world charm.
Great food , great service and very nice room . It was pricey but that's what I expected .
Great time on our 48th anniversary. Food was fantastic and service was excellent. Irish Mathew was a great waiter!
Lovely restaurant-great food and attentive service. Thank you!
