Lupo by Wolfgang Puck Ratings and Reviews
dining was the weekend after the shooting at Mandalay Bay - some staff appeared to be a bit shaken, but they did not miss a beat in offering great all around service. Food quality was well above average. Salmon was pan seared to perfection (mains). Portion size were good. Kitchen was a bit on the slow side but this would be the only negative
We ordered pasta and received about 15 little ravioli on a huge plate. The ravioli was excellent, just very nouvelle cuisine portions. Others had linguine with mushrooms, which was also tasty. We ordered a salted caramel dessert, which was a taste sensation.
The service was excellent. We sat on their ‘terrace’ and it was extremely noisy due to the band playing in the nearby bar.
The food was very pedestrian not what you would expect from a restaurant that has Wolfgang Puck's name. I have had better pasta and better seafood in neighborhood restaurants and in my own home. The meal was extremely overpriced, you could barely find the miniscule pieces of seafood in the pasta.
The food was decent. Not memorable though. We ate here last year and it was great. This time it was okay. We had a table of 6. I'd go back, but I think it's better dining experience at the bar. Also, the food took a really long time between courses. I've noticed this at other Wolfgang Puck restaurants as well. You will get your 1st course quickly and then wait forever for the entrees.
