L'Unità Enoteca Ratings and Reviews
A dining experience at L'unita never disappoints. The impeccable service, attention to detail and exquisite delivery of amazing flavours. Expert staff create an ambiance that is rare these days in Toronto. Their deep knowledge of the menu and wine list ensures phenominal pairing advise. Every bite left us wanting more. We will be back!
We finally made the 10 minute walk to this neighborhood restaurant and are so glad we did! Amazing food, from the pizza to pasta, to gnocchi it was wonderful! My absolute favorite the side dish of heirloom carrots roasted in honey and walnuts. Lovely drink menu, outstanding wine menu, and the service was great! Cannot wait to go back!
Brilliant experience. Had not been on this strip of Avenue Road at Dupont and had not been here before. Feels very "local" - no tourists, well-heeled, cool and energetic atmosphere. Food is very well prepared, authentic and served perfectly. Attentive staff and bottomless wine list. Gets quite loud but its everyone enjoying themselves. 5/5.
We went to this restaurant last night celebrating a special occasion with my friend, girls night. The ambiance is nice and cozy and the service actually started nice. The food is good, both of us thought it is a good restaurant to try but we won't go back, as there are many more interesting restaurants to try in Toronto. Our reservation was for 6:30 PM. My friend arrived a little before 7:00 PM as there was an accident on the road. I believe around 9 PM we finished our meal and the waiter brought us the bill without offering us dessert which we thought it was a mistake on his part. We asked to see the dessert menu and he said he needs to speak to his manager. He came back and said he could only offer us 2 choices and it needs to be quick. We said we still would like to see the full dessert menu. He went back and brought the manager. The manager told us that they need our table as they book for only 2 hour block but basically as he saw we were upset told us we can order dessert from the full menu if we want. We always make sure that we don't reserve at restaurants which only offer 2 hour block. Most restaurants specify it on their reservation page . He mentioned he is doing a business here and we can't occupy the table for too long!! until that moment we were having a nice time, however that whole experience left an awful bad taste in our mouth. We decided not to order dessert! We were done with that place at that moment and really it is a shame that our night ended like this. As we paid the bill the waiter brought each of us an order of cannoli in take out bags! And said this is on us but we can't force you to take them!! On the way out the manager said; I hope you like our cannoli we are well known for it! We took our bags and gave them to the homeless person on the street. This is the first review I have left on line for a restaurant as I was very disappointed on how the restaurant scene in Toronto is changing.
L'Unita is definitely the best Italian in the neighborhood. We ordered the burrata & proscuitto pizza. Both of them were extraordinary tasty. They have an amazing italian wine selection a reasonable prices for the quality. The Barbera d'Asti wine was delicious. As I woman, I appreciate when the waiter let my boyfriend and me try (some restaurants assume that I do not like to try the wine). In this case, the waiter served both of us.
The ambiance is cozy with warm yellow illumination imitating a wine cave.
Definitely, I will repeat the experience.
It was my first time at L'Unita Enoteca - went to celebrate my birthday. Cosy feel upon entering, low lighting and warm. Food was good - enjoyed the pizza and mussels. Unfortunately there was only one special - not enough in my opinion. Although the food was good, the service was poor. The waitress was not very attentive or helpful. Not sure if I will go back.
New menu for the fall and it was tough to choose among several appealing options. We've been here 3 or 4 times in that many months and have had a great meal each time. The specials are always good, though we sometimes go back to the menu for our favorites. Great wine list and knowledgeable servers. Will look forward to returning.
