I really enjoyed this little restaurant. The waiter was great and even the owner was front and center, he was very kind and helpful. The food was amazing! The drinks was great tasting and priced well! Ricardo stopped by our table to check on us, he was hilarious. I’ll defin be back.

We were Celebrating a graduation and it was very nice.
We decided to try the crab balls since they are known for their crab cakes and they were good. So was the cream of crab soup. The sautéed scallops were not good. They should have a nice sear on them but these were rubbery and in a butter sauce. The big downside was that my debit card information was stolen and my bank account was wiped clean. I can’t say it was anyone at the restaurant, but I rarely use that card, except for that occasion, and it was the only one affected. Again, it could have happened in a number of different ways, but the food wasn’t worth the risk.
We had a fabulous business dinner with exceptional service. Two extra colleagues showed up and staff happily added another table to our table of six. Most ordered seafood and had rave reviews. I loved my angel hair pasta with lobster sauce and crab. The portions were very generous - several people could not finish.
The shrimp salad sandwich was delicious and so were he fries. The service was a little slow for lunch.
Worst crab cake I ever ate. I asked if it had fillers and the waiter said no.... It came out with nothing but stuffing and a little crab for $49. I felt like I was robbed. The waiter was slow and not good at all. I highly recommend NOT eating there.
The setting was much more casual than I expected. It felt more like a diner than nice seafood restaurant. Paper menus with typos kind of casual. Food was okay. Waitress oddly included tip in bill for party of four, which I thought was obnoxious.

We chose Luna Del Sea for our business meal after attending an all day convention. I think they were overwhelmed and very busy with other convention-goers, but we were there for about 3 hours. We sat unattended for at least 30 minutes and had to go find someone to refill our beverages. The food took over an hour to come out. The staff was very friendly, but it just took so long. It was also the CEO's last dinner with the sales team. He ordered a bottle of Prosecco and they were out of stock. It would have been very nice to enjoy that with him for our last dinner.

Very disappointed with this restaurant. We went at 5pm when it first opened. Asked for a Mojito.."we don't have mint today". Husband ordered linguini with red clam sauce. "we are out of clams". He asked for another type of pasta..."we only offer linguini". My friend ordered a Peroni beer. He got it, my husband asked for one too..."we are out of Peroni". I ordered a drink and I never got it. How could they be "out of" so many things and they just opened??? I had read several bad reviews about this restaurant, but, we decided to give it a try anyway. I thought it would be a safe bet to order steamed shrimp seasoned with Old Bay. Wrong! The shrimp were large but so overcooked, I only ate 2 of them. The shell was hard to take off, and I felt as though they had been precooked and then warmed up. Also, they were not seasoned with Old Bay, they were seasoned with a red pepper oil. Not the same. Sea Bisque was a specialty and it was not bad, but, again I only ate about half of the bowl. It was kind of bland.
My husband's dinner was not very good either. He got mussels and shrimp in a red clam sauce. He expected an Italian retaurant to have a good red sauce......not so. Prices are high and the food and service is not what you would expect from a "fine dining" establishment. We will not return there or recommend it to our friends.
We chose this restaurant because of its proximity to the hotel at friends were staying. Unfortunately, it was not a wise choice. The food was bland and lackluster. My scallops were overcooked and the breading coating added nothing to the dish. we wanted our guests to experience Baltimore seafood but, this was very pedestrian and not at all the true local flavor we had hoped for.
The lack of prices on the menu should have been the signal that everything would be overpriced. Disappointing when the most appetizing thing on menu in a seafood restaurant is steak.
I had the pleasure of hosing two colleagues at this delightful restaurant. The service was attentive, but not intrusive. We were never rushed and allowed to linger to chat after our wonderful meal. The food is superb. This is a bit bove the moderate price range, but worth it.
Overall, my experience dining at Luna Del Sea was one of THEE WORST I've ever had at a restaurant in downtown Baltimore. Service was extremely poor, so poor that I didn't even order an appetizer and entree. After seeing their poor customer service towards me and my date, they tried to compensate by taking 20% off my bill. But the damage was already done. After paying for my bill (18.00 after 20%)and KINDLY asking for my change( Tip?... I WISH!)and moved on to another restaurant to finish my evening on a good note. Luna Del Sea... Won't go again.
I was disappointed in Luna Del Sea. I don't mind that it is an old restaurant as those often are the most authentic. The interior was clean but nothing special. And the service was pretty good. But the price of the food was CRAZY. Seriously, seafood entrees that started at $38? They just went up from there. The entire front page of specials had only "market price" listed. We eat out a lot and all over the county so when I tell you the prices were ridiculous. I've had better food for less at Blue Stone. We choose foods off of the "light menu" and my husband's "Po Boy" consisted of 3 tiny oysters with one slice each of lettuce and tomato - for $15. I had the small version of the Crab Imperial which was good, but outstanding. Oh well. We choose it because of how close to the Hippodrome it was located. And location may be the key here. Situated across the street from the Hilton conference center and the convention center, I can only imagine that tourists are the main demographic for Luna Del Sea.

This is the first time I've ever been truly disappointed in an Open Table restaurant. The food quality and taste were less than that of many Third World countries that I've visited. However, the exorbitant cost made up for it. Every single thing was substandard. I will NEVER return to this restaurant. They couldn't pay me to eat there. Not only would I never recommend this restaurant, I would beseech people to stay as far away from it as possible.
Loved the décor, however even with a reservation and no one else in the restaurant at 5PM on a Friday, we were seated in a two person table right next to the bar. A very nice table for four was next to us and also next to a window so I thought that must be reserved for four. It was not. An older couple eventually was seated there. They had no reservation at all. We came all the way from Pennsylvania. This older couple was local and had never been to your restaurant either. Anyway the person who seated us was very professional and said our server would be over soon. The server appeared and he was far from professional. He quickly took our meal request-never said if there was a special or anything about the menu at all-and we gave our dinner order. I requested the cream of crab soup-by the way it is the most excellent I have ever had and I've tasted many versions-but he never even came back to get the bowl until he served our meal. We ordered the fried shrimp dinner and the fried oyster dinner. They were overcooked-very dark in appearance-and almost could pass for store bought seafood. The flavor was not good either. To say we were disappointed is putting it mildly. My husband and I were celebrating our 42 wedding anniversary and this was to be a special meal for us. It was ruined by the waiter and the quality of the food that was served to us. This waiter never returned to our table to even ask if we needed anything else or ask if the meal was okay. We were so disgusted we just paid our bill and left. I am very disappointed that we were treated in the manner in which we were treated. Countless people came into the door without reservations and were given primo seating and service. I would hope that going forward you would take extra care with someone who took the time to make reservations. I also would hope that the food would be worth the expense. For us it was most definitely not.
We mostly had the restaurant to ourselves which was very nice. Our server Randall was great too and he was very knowledgeable about specifics of menu items. The food was great and it was an enjoyable experience.
We made a reservation for 9 on Open Table and when we arrived at the restaurant they didn't have a table for us. We were told they can't turn off the app. They clearly didn't know how to help the app.

Server was the only highlight of the visit. Drinks were bad, decor was fair, food poor and way over priced. One single crab cake was $20.
Not good. The service was slow. Food was mediocre. Entrees were so overpriced, but to dress the table with paper placemats and paper napkins was insulting. The decor was tired and nonsensical. Crystal chandelier among 200 framed charactitures of local personalities who are long dead. Chairs were torn and your standard banquet hall stock. $10 Bloody Mary served in a frozen glass - with no effort other than vodka and weak tomato juice. Crab cake platter was $40 and consisted of 2 crab cakes that were room temperature but sizeable, yet for roughly $20 each, you'd expect a lot bigger. The final screw . . . an up charge for a side salad if you don't opt for fries or vegetable du jour.

The cream of crab is among the best in the state!! We ate off the light fare, the broiled scallops and Luna del seafood imperial was excellent. Dinner entrees are pricey.
The restaurant has 2 sides: a more casual and a more formal room. We were sat in the casual side. The ambiance is good, however we were right beside the door and when people left or entered, it was quite cold.
