This comparatively small Italian restaurant in downtown Annapolis, MD is one of my favorites. Friendly atmosphere, reasonably priced good food and wine, knowledgeable and helpful staff.
We have never had a bad experience at Luna Blu. It's our absolute favorite place in downtown Annapolis. The waitstaff is wonderful and the food excellent at reasonable prices. Erin is often found waiting tables herself.
Unsurprising food. Not bad, not excellent, average. A lot of choices in the menu. Foodwise is a no-risk restaurant, won’ t dissapoint if expectations are set right.
What a great evening spent with my hubby after being out of town for over 2 weeks! Erin never disappoints with any part of the meal! Great anti pasta! Delicious entrees! Tiramisu...my favorite ever! Wonderful half price wine! Can’t imagine going anywhere else for Date Night!
Never disappoints! Always attentive but unobtrusive service, with ample and delicious menu choices.
Food was fantastic as always, service top notch per usual, nothing new to say except if you have never tried it, you should! This is a great dining experience, the Owner waits tables and is intimately involved. You won't be disappointed no matter if it's Pasta, Seafood, Chicken, Veal, or Pork that you crave.
excellent service but too crowd3d & noisy to converser easily at table of 4
Not a great meal. The Alfredo style pasta dish ordered by my table was not appetizing. The noodle consistency wasn't pleasant, too gummy and stuck together. It was like they had been over cooked or left in a pan too long. The sauce tasted too much of flour and not enough of Parmesan cheese and butter. On the up side the server was fantastic.
We had a delicious dinner at Luna Blu prior to the Capitals Stadium Series game at the Navy Stadium. Service was friendly and prompt, food was delicious and abundant, prices were reasonable. There were multiple vegan options on the menu and the staff was happy to modify other options to veganize them for me. As the waitress said, everything is prepared to order. Although it isn't around the corner for us, whenever we are in Annapolis, I would't hesitate to dine at Luna Blu.
Went there with some colleagues in a business trip; was pleasantly surprised by the restaurant. They offered an amazing prefixed menu. $38 for 4 courseS; and they were full sized courses. Very generous portions, amazing appetizer and entree selections. It was hard to make a choice. I think it was the owner who was in the front of house; she was warm and friendly. Made for a great experience.
Great neighborhood gem of an Italian restaurant. If you are really hungry, the prix fixe menu is a great deal. Four courses for $38. Every meal I have had here has been spectacular.
This was our third visit to Luna Blu. We have always had a delicious meal with generous portions and great service.
Excellent, as always. Delicious appetizer and salad (generous enough for 2 meals) and the zabaglione is not to be missed. And superlative service!
Perhaps the best place to eat in Annapolis. Very consistent.
Four of us went there for lunch during restaurant week. I have been there a few times before and really found it to be a real nice place, with good food and good value, so I rounded up the four of us to have a really great lunch - and this was not a disappointment. Our server was very friendly, the food was great, and the manager stopped by our table to check on us.
We love eating at Luna Blu. Always great food and service!
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Wine list was average but good. Food was very average. Not a bad meal, just average. Cute and cozy atmosphere. Nothing fancy.
Portions were generous. My appetizer was very good. My entree was very good. My wife is a good cook, and be particular at times. She bought the scampi and thought that there should have been more garlic in it. We were very pleased overall with our meal. Our waitress was excellent. Can't remember her name, but she had brown hair.
Great food and service!
Too bad the place is so small! not enough room between tables, and waiters had to come on the side to make sure nothing flies off the tables!
This place needs a makeover. Thought I going to a nice restaurant for lunch but was disappointed. No parking, I had on a casual outfit and felt way overdressed. Food was ok. I had salad(it was blah) dressing had no taste. The shrimp risotto only had 3 shrimp and lacked flavor. My husband had a chicken sandwich in which he said he liked. It’s not the worst place ever since his food experience was much better than my experience but Probably won’t go back.
Very nice, close to actually going to Italy
After a larger, noisy restaurant the night before with disappointing food, it was great to find Luna Blu. We received a friendly greeting from the owner on arrival and she also was our server during the meal. The restaurant is very nice and also on the quiet side which was great for conversation. The menu offered many options and the food was all fantastic.
The food has been phenomenal on both occasions we have eaten here. The wine list is quite extensive, the choices we’ve made have been very tasty. Erin is quite the server, and quite the gracious hostess (as well as the owner) and remembered us (and our wine choice) from our only other visit. The dessert options are excellent and the Port is so good. All in all great experience, highly recommend Luna Blu
Went for Valentines day. Food wasn't good enough for $60 a plate. But it was quiet and not too crowded so wasn't terrible
A great Valentine's Day menu made for a great Valentine's Day. Kudos to Erin for a wonderful prix fixe menu with some gems like the lollipop lamb chop appetizer and the osso bucco enter was excellent. And, still offering Wednesday night half price wine choices... What a combination.
All four of us had different appetizers and main courses, and we enjoyed every one. Erin’s service and advice was excellent, and she had the chef modify the risotto special for one of us. The lack of noise was wonderful. No ever had to raise their voice. We will return.
We really enjoyed our dinners at LUNA BLUE. The service was prompt and very helpful and the food was wonderful!! I had the four course special and everything that I ordered was wonderful, but it was too much food, so I probably won’t do that again.
MJ wife had the stuffed Australian sea bass and it was wonderful too! Very nice atmosphere; convenient lot parking garage immediately behind, attentive-knowledgeable-responsive servers and great food!
Excellent food and service. Very welcoming environment.
Food is always excellent. Food is always fresh and beautifully presented. Love all the recipes!
We love Luna Blu! Everything on the menu is fantastic both for lunch and dinner!
Very charming dining room and great service. Fabulous appetizers. 4-course dinner special is a no-brainer for a flat $38. Ordered the veal piccata - awesome. Would definitely go back.
Went with friends before a concert and had a great time. Can’t wait to go back.
Everything about the dinner was perfect. The prices were surprisingly low compared to the value! The food was superb, service excellent and not rushed, courses were well timed. I highly recommend this restaurant!!
We felt so welcomed! Very open to accommodating all requests and customizations to vegan (whole food plant based) diet! Very delicious and well spiced! We’ll be back for sure!
Food and service are consistently good. There is a nice wine list.
Luna blue is always fantastic! Great food and wonderful service! It also helps that it was half price bottle of wine night!
Delicious menu options. Great value and good service make this a definite must visit.
The usual friendly and attentive service with great food. Appetizers during the hour-long, half price window were amazing. The exceptional value of this deal was only exceeded by the fine quality of the baked brie, the mussels and clams, and the scallop appetizers. The main courses (we had the lamb special and the pasta ragu) were large and delicious. My ragu was augmented with mushrooms at my request and my brother's had added sausage. Both added ingredients were of very generous portions. As always, the bread prepared specifically for our table, was hot and delicious. The flavored olive oil on the table made a wonderful dip for it.
Transplant this dining experience into a fancy dining room and expect to pay at least double the prices. As it is, cloth table cloths, fine service, and great food at such reasonable prices compensate the diner for the lack of overt atmosphere.
Was surprised when we arrived at 6pm on a Sunday night and was seated next to a noisy party on a mostly empty restaurant. Understood why when the place filled up entirely by 6:30. Great dinner.
All food is fresh and made to order. We had very good service and the bread is hot and fresh.
