This was my husband’s birthday. I asked for a romantic table and they put us in a beautiful corner under a veranda outside with the rose petals on our table and greeted us with champagne. The food was great, presentation lovely, and a free dessert for my husband. Wonderful service highly recommend
Excellent restaurant in the hotel, with plenty of outdoor seating. Entrees and beverage choices were good. I would not hesitate dining here again, for any meal--breakfast, lunch or dinner. Friendly folks. Service was a bit slow, but nothing terrible.
Beautiful setting. Service excellent food a 4 out of 5
Excellent food and service. The ambiance was lovely in the patio.
Luminaria is a delight. There is no better place to dine right next to the chapel walls of the Lorreto shrine. The mood is like one of those magical moments in Europe. From the valet parking to the gracious welcome to the excellent service to the delightful food, Luminaria does not miss a beat. The birthday dessert was a masterpiece formed like an adobe dwelling, including a chocolate stair to get on its roof.
Great lunch with friends on the terrace. Food was yummy and wine was nice and reasonably priced. The terrace is beautiful and we look forward to bringing other friends here.
Stunning setting. Parking. Ate there twice in a one week visit. Scallops were good; steak was crunchy when I had asked for medium well. Wait staff friendly, but not intrusive.
Disappointed the experance was just ok ! The bill was two hundred dollars$$$ had much much better meals for twenty five dollars.
Reliably good food, an excellent value and warm service make this one of our favorite restaurants. In addition, the decor is lovely. Ask for a booth to make the evening extra special!
My husband and I came here for our 1 year wedding anniversary and we were blown away. Coming from the ABQ food scene where food creativity is lacking, we decided to target Santa Fe for our dinner. After researching lots of choices, we picked Luminaria because we loved the option for intimate table seating and its location close to the Plaza. When we arrived, we were greeted by the hostess who immediately took us to our table. They then showered our table in rose petals and brought us a complimentary champagne toast to help us celebrate our occasion. The food was so amazing and the level of flavor was beyond delicious. We can't wait to come back to this wonderful restaurant and will forever treasure our experience there!
We love the patio...such a beautiful setting for a quiet meal. Food was delicious, and Melissa is one of our favorite servers. We'll be back!
Absolutely lovely outdoor pavilion with crystal chandeliers and tied back drapery panels👍Delightful in every way and food yummy❤️❤️❤️👍
My wife and I were disappointed with our meal at Luminaria. The service was poor and the food preparation was lacking. I ordered the a steak special and my wife ordered a lamb dish. My steak was over cooked and my wife's lamb dish was underwhelming. I believe our server was also working in the bar, so she wasn't able to provide our table with its due attention. The timing of the dishes was poor and there were major delays in waiting for the server to return to the table.
Everything about our evening was outstanding. The food was phenomenal, Jessica' service was on point ( what an asset to your staff) the ambiance and location made fo a wonderful evening
The food was exceptional and the service was outstanding. We happened to mention we were in Santa Fe for our upcoming wedding anniversary as we were married at Loretto Chapel and the staff took it upon themselves to sprinkle our table with rose petals and give us a complimentary dessert. They didn’t have to do that since our actual anniversary was a few days away. We were extremely touched. ❤️🙌🏻❤️
I enjoy patio dining and this may be one of the best. The setting is absolutely lovely, nestled right next to the historic Chapel of Loretto. The food was absolutely superb. The tortilla soup was the best I've eaten. The lobster Mac-n-cheese was phenomenal, beautiful sweet lobster tail on top and small pieces throughout the dish, pasta cooked perfectly, and the cheese/cream sauce had the proper texture and taste. My dining partner also enjoyed the soup and then raved about his fish tacos as tasting as if they had just come from the grill seconds before. Santa Fe boasts a number of al fresco dining opportunities but this may well be the best. Luminaria offers valet parking, a real advantage in crowded Santa Fe. It is not inexpensive, but affords a memorable dining experience.
Excellent service and great food. We and our guests enjoyed a delicious and quiet Easter dinner,
Yet another OpenTable disappointment. The service is absolutely awful, servers take nearly 20m to show up at the table, they don’t check on what people need in between delivery of food. They served side dishes without any utensils, when we asked for utensils, waiter came back and said they didn’t have any at which point we said just bring some ordinary spoons. Spinach was clearly frozen and reheated, for such a pricey restraint, we were very disappointed!
We will definitely be going back!
Phenomenal service, made a special occasion even more special
Very good food! Chef was flexible to our dietary needs and desires.
One of our regular stops in a city full of great restaurants.
This was our first visit to the restaurant and it will be not be our last! Wonderful staff loved our lunch date
Awesome food and service, Jessica was wonderful
Our table was sprinkled with rose petals for our anniversary which made this special place extra special!
Fine dining (non-ethnic) worthy of any big city. General American-European menu, well-presented and well-served. Very reasonable prices for the quality.
Perfect , quiet elegant perfect service
The food was great, we had the sea bass, and the filet minion. Food was cooked to perfection, and the margaritas were very refreshing. Our waitress Jessica made good suggestions and provided excellent service. We will definitely go back and try different items on the menu.
We don't usually think of Luminaria as a "go to" place, yet every time we have been, it has been wonderful. Cozy booths, good service. The only reason I didn't rate the food higher was that we all ordered egg dishes "over medium" and they actually were cooked hard, no yolk at all. The server didn't really notice and as we didn't say anything, didn't ask. Beautiful plating and presentation. Summer months is great to eat outside on the covered patio. All in all, always a good experience in some way.
Excellent food and service! Loved it, will be back.
We went for restaurant week but have been here other times too. The food was delicious, sea bass with spinach and a filet with potatoes. Scallop for an appetizer and tres leches cake and chocolate mousse for dessert. Presentation was great as always.
Fabulous place. Been in Santa Fe for many years and never tried it. Will be going back often. The food was terrific; the young woman who served us was friendly and attentive, without being overbearing.
Went for restaurant week and it was such an amazing value for the fantastic meal and experience. The cioppino starter was so hearty I couldn’t believe it was just the appetizer, with half a lobster tail, shrimp, mussels, and a beautifully spicy broth. Three of us had different entrees and we usually decide who won the night.. but all three were to die for (mini filet, sea bass, adobo pork)! Mango creme brûlée won the dessert for me :) I will absolutely be coming here for more special occasions!
The filet mignon was probably the best piece of meat I ever ate.
We sat there for 10 minuets and no one came to take our drink order even. We looked around, no one had food on their tables, drinks finished and no servers on sight so we decided to leave. If they are trying to charge that much for food, they better have great service first.
Chairs were a little uncomfortable for a shorter person. Was there for restaurant week menu and We started with the sea scallop, was not the best, two plates we plated different , the taste was not a sweet as other sea scallops I had in the past. But the filet was cooked perfect also the sea bass was cooked perfect. It was a very good overall.
Highly recommend Luminaria. Creative cuisine, excellently prepared and beautifully presented.
This is just one of our go to places. The bread basket is amazing. My husband had the best filet he’s ever had. Love the atmosphere
This was an incredible dining experience. The staff was super friendly and the service was wonderful. We are during Santa Fe’s Restaurant Week, so not only was the food delicious but very affordable. Would definitely eat here again!
Filet was amazing. Chipotle seafood broth was very good!
