Great service, good food. Overall, it's a nice place for a business lunch or dinner.
Our service was superb as was our incredible meal as we so enjoyed the north wood mushroom soup, the cod tacos and outstanding grilled halibut et al. The desserts and tea/coffee completed an extraordinary evening. We so look forward to returning many times.
Service was friendly and fast. Food was delicious and well priced.
Only negative was the too loud music. And the choice of music was all wrong.
The lobster roll looked great, with good size and quality lobster pieces. The taste was drowned out by entirely too much oil. It’s the only thing we could taste.
The octopus was fantastic. Nothing but good things to say.
The glasses were dirty, finding lipstick on one. Heightened sensitivity with the health crisis being broadcast. Round of drinks was comped, excellent response by server.
I thought 1.5 hours to get our food for 5 people was a lot.
Best waitress ever. Food was great and the view was awesome.
If you are a seafood lover this is your place! Great view of the street below.
Came for pre-theatre date night dinner. Cocktails were amazing, food was delicious and our wait staff were great! Had a wonderful experience. The lobster roll was to die for.
Good food
Good friendly service
Good value
Close to shows
We dined with 7 friends after the theatre. Of the 8 of us 5 have food allergies and intolerances. From our server to the chef The care we were given was outstanding. Each individual’s needs were addressed separately and the meal we were served reflected it. I highly recommend this restaurant.
A bit underwhelmed
Restaurant was nice, low key and relaxing. Food was good. Appetizer portions small. We enjoyed the evening.
We picked this restaurant because of our love of seafood and the beautiful seafood tower they use for their marketing. Well it worked and then they took it off the menu “to accommodate the other seafood options for Valentine’s Day”. Which there were 4 options including dessert, but I’ll get to that.
We were there on Valentine’s Day, obviously for a special day and we’re overall disappointed. The restaurant wasn’t very busy and the wait was horribly slow. We were in there for almost 2.5hrs and only ordered one main (octopus that was burnt on the ends and almost raw in the middle. They were missing two appetizers we had wanted to try as well as their valentines dessert. It’s Valentine’s Day, there was ONE valentines dessert, and it was out of stock.
The juice was delicious and we really enjoyed both the salad and crab cakes we had as well as the one dessert we were able to order.
Probably the best Steak I've ever had and our server Fiona was great!
Spent a wonderful Valentine's Day with my boyfriend at Luma, we had a delicious meal off of their Valentine's Day menu. It was very good and I will definitely be returning. Terrific staff as well!
Nice time and a good meal. Good service. All good.
Server was super friendly, food was very tasty and fairly generous
Recent changes to menu have limited the choice that this restaurant had in the past. Overall the service, quality and limited options were acceptable. Value was a little less than I have experienced in the past.
Still a very good restaurant with a good vibe, but has lost a little of its’ cache since I was there a few years ago.
Great Valentines evening!
Price point was high, food was very mediocre tasting (although the presentation of the food was nice), service was unfriendly and the décor was tacky (fake plastic rose petals strewn about and oversized fake champagne bottles).
This was a valentines day lunch and the restaurant was almost entirely empty.
Speaks volumes in and of itself.
Even though the restaurant wasn't full, the waiter was a bit over the place forgetting things and the waiting between courses was too long. I bit disappointed!
Our waitress was awesome!!!! She’s very nice and made good recommendations.
As always the food was delish!!!!
I always enjoy this restaurant and find the food, ambiance and service excellent.
Main squid dish wasn’t impressive. Also the chocolate dessert had way too much pepper which ruined the experience
The ambience and server were very good. Food was a bit too salty and not as expected. Starters were good but the entree was a problem. I would recommend this place for ambience, drinks and starters during a business meeting maybe.
Terrible experience for winterlicious. Expected more from a O&B restaurant, food was not cooked well, selection was bad. Would not go again.
Modern decor and conveniently located within the entertainment district.
Staff unfriendly, server seemed inexperienced and had to be reminded to bring a drink and ask for an order.
Food was appallingly bad, the “short rib” was the worst dish I’ve ever had. It was a chunk of dry bland beef chuck roast in a flavorless broth with random crunchy vegetables. No spoon. I ate one bite.
Every dish lacked seasoning and depth and was poorly executed and uninspired.
Despite telling our server the advice we were not compensated. I was charged in full for a dish I couldn’t eat.
Extremely disappointed that I wasted a rare date night and a gift card.
Lovely ambiance and the entrees and apps were great .The wait staff was very accommodating and we would definitely go back.
Winterlicious at Luma was an excellent experience and good value.
Great service and Food. However, I had homemade sorbet dessert is okay!!
Even though the restaurant was very busy, the service we received was exceptional! The hostess greeted me by name and promptly showed us to a wonderful table by the window. Our server Nicole was beyond great! She was super friendly and professional and totally attentive! I ordered from the Winterlicious menu and the food was great. The clam chowder was very tasty and came out almost immediately. I chose the Beef Spare Rib for my main and again was very impressed with the flavours and tenderness of the meat. The apple and blueberry crumble was prepared perfectly and wasn’t too sweet. My guest ordered the Chuck Burger and was pleasantly impressed by how juicy and flavorful it was. We tried several drinks from the bar and each one was amazing. We especially loved the Bottomless Havana! Overall 5 star experience and service tonight!! Congrats to the Luma team in providing another great dining experience.
Daniel our server was great! Winterliscous menu was not bad!
In spite of reservation, waited for a table.
Service was very slow even though the restaurant was fairly sparingly occupied after our appetizers. Appetizers came twice and the main course was quite delayed. The set menu food was disappointing.
We waited for desert for a long time.
Staff was very nice and apologetic.
Overall, not a 4 star restaurant experience.
Unfortunately the service was pretty slow, and there were quite a few hiccups (wrong dish to wrong person - on multiple occasions, wrong dish entirely). I ate off the Winterlicious menu, and the food was only ok. The squid stir fry was VERY bland, and although the soup was alright, it wasn't worth the spend...even during Winterlicious.
We both really enjoyed our salads. They were creative & delicious. We both had the braised short ribs & we were not overly impressed with that winterlicious menu item. The dessert we chose , apple blueberry crumble with ice cream was fine but nothing special. The portions were small but that was fine for us. We found the pricing rather high for what we ate. The Winterlicious prix fixe menu was $41 per person. Also we found the service rushed, despite the fact that many tables were empty. It was not an enjoyable pace. We did ask the server to slow down but it did not happen by the same server that we mentioned it too. She still brought our dessert too soon, as I was still working on my dinner wine. We were asked when we were seated if we were rushed or needed to make it to a show & we said no. But the possibility remains that because the restaurant was so loud maybe the servers did not hear us.
The vegetarian pasta was very nice. I was disappointed in both the salad and polenta fries appetizers. All desserts looked good and I enjoyed the spicy chocolate budino. While the atmosphere was friendly and warm, I thought that the prices of the regular menu wouldn’t feel worthwhile for the food. Try the winterlicious menu, if you are interested in trying Luma though.
We enjoyed Winterlicious before going to see Phantom of the Opera
Food was pretty good, I really liked the chowder, the main (short rib) and desert (chocolate) were okay. Service was very slow, took 45min to get bread to the table, let alone the appetizer.
The waiters poured our wine to another table and did not realize it. They made it up to us very poorly but just giving us a different wine without checking with us and then they charged us for a
More expensive bottle of wine. It was all very badly managed. The food was not that good either.
It was also our friends 40th birthday and they did not offer us anything. It was all a bit disappointing.
