Food was served efficiently and hot. Servers efficient polite and informative
We were visiting my relatives in Richmond & I am a huge brunch fan, so I researched nearby spots for brunch & Lulu's did not disappoint! I was thankful we made a reservation, because the place stayed busy. It was difficult to find due to construction & the sign being hard to read from a distance, but once inside all was good. Our waitress Erynn, was PHENOMENAL! She made great recommendations (crab omelette & Tropical Mimosa) & was very attentive. The only downside was there were 7 of us & we were crammed into a booth by the bathroom, but once the food came we quickly forgot about that. Can't wait to return next time I'm in town!
Not a very positive first experience. Made 9am reservations. Arrived 5 min early, but told to wait outside (expected), then tried to enter restaurant at 9am (my reservation time), but told I was 2 min early. Then not even 20 seconds later a group of 4 walked in and was promptly seated, while we were both outside still waiting. Once seated we had lackluster service. Food was also expensive and we were overall not satisfied. Probably won't return and will likely not recommend.
My mimosa was meh - it didn't taste strongly of juice or champagne, it tasted watered down. I'm not a fan of eggs and there were only 2 options that were sweet - French toast and waffles. They were out of the French toast, so red velvet waffles it was. They were ok, the huge blob of butter with pecans in it was rather odd and a little much on the waffle. The bacon wasn't crisp. The potatoes had cumin in it but it felt like an after thought. My husband really enjoyed his biscuit with lobster and egg, as well as his blueberry bread pudding.
Service was terrible. After we were seated it was 10 minutes before our server even approached us. I had to flag the server down to get a refill on coffee once, and then she vanished. It took 15 minutes to get our check paid.
The food was ok. I ordered French Toast. It was quite a few slices of very thin quarters of bread battered and undercooked. There wasn't any kind of batter crusting on it, more like grilled bread with an egg wash. The compote was applied very lightly, and the cinnamon creme fraiche was plopped on the side haphazardly as if someone was working on a production line in an orphanage.
Minor note, for the type and feel of the restaurant I would like to see non shelf stable creamer brought out. The little coffee creamer cups leave a lot to be desired and contain stabilizers I would like to avoid.
We had a reservation for Sunday brunch and still had to wait a bit. The place was packed and super busy so a reservation is definitely necessary. Overall, great experience. The food was delicious and service decent. It was pretty busy so I understand the less than exceptional service but could have used refills on waters and coffee!
Food was great! Only issue was that we waited 15 mins before a waitress approached us. We were about to leave when finally a waitress came over. There was no apology for the delay.
I went for brunch. The place is packed so make reservations. I got to try Atlantic and the Lobster biscuit. Delish!! And the waitress was awesome--energetic and friendly.
I love this place . Food is delicious . Hands down the best brunch spot in the RVA .
Everything was great. The only downfalls was that i made a reservation for 11:45am but still had to wait 20 mins after.
Always good food. Service usually good. Very noisy. Best to make a reservation.
My dad enjoyed his breakfast and mimosas and the service was excellent and friendly!
Great brunch, family friendly. We loved it!
Lulu's stood up to all the rave reviews. The food was excellent, the service was just right.
It is a very loud atmosphere...so if you want quiet....don't go.
The only downside was parking. The current construction at the Farmer's Market makes the area a bit difficult to travel.
If you are looking for a great Sunday Brunch....try Lulu's!
Father’s Day brunch! Really good experience except it was so busy and loud. Couldn’t even hear and speak to the person across from me. Brought 4 month old....so loud you couldn’t even hear him cry
Great place for brunch! The service was a bit disorganized (we received our food before we had utensils), perhaps because it was a holiday. The food was delicious and our server was extremely friendly.
#1 brunch spot in the RVA area, and it was delicious!! Terrific spot for Father's Day family brunch. We'll be going back. Definitely make a reservation - very popular.
We had a wonderful Father's Day brunch with the family. The plates appeared to have been "licked clean", the food was so good. My dish, Eggs Benedict but made with country ham rather than Canadian bacon, was the best Benedict I have ever eaten. Service was excellent. Ambiance is a little noisy for me, with one large dining area, but we love this place.
We had a reservation- recommended. I called the day of to see if they could take us earlier, and they were willing and able to accommodate, perfect! The food was outstanding the wait staff very friendly and timely.
Food & service are always amazing!
The Atlantic omelette & house potatoes are my favs!
Food was pretty good but was incorrect several times.
Great food, great service, great ambiance. I highly recommend eating brunch here.
Experience - Great service and great food!
So glad I had the experience of Lulu's!
The restaurant does have a portable ramp for disabled access through the main door. You only have to ask.
This place is very popular but to me is a little pretentious. They had an eggs benedict dish special that day made with a filet mignon piece of steak that was priced at about $16. I asked the waitress about that and she said that the piece of meat was "embarassingly small." They do a pretty good job overall and the food is definitely tasty - just not quite a fancy as they think it is.
Incredible Brunch. Great cocktail selection. Best Benedict I've ever had. Super polite and friendly staff. Food came very quickly. A very enjoyable dining experience.
Everyone was super nice even the other customers were friendly. Food was amazing as my friend and i devoured our food and drinks. The waitress Jen was awesome and just a bright being of light. Can't wait till the next time.
Stopped in Richmond on my way to North Carolina. It was hard for me to find this place because of the local construction, however, it was a pleasant surprise. The food was delish and the service provided was excellent. We had brunch on a Saturday morning and thoroughly enjoyed it. Well worth the crazy construction.
I had a great experience, however my table started out with one waitress and we never saw her again after she came and took my friends drink order. We did end up getting a new waitress named Jen and she was awesome and helped us the rest of our visit.
We enjoy coming to LuLus for brunch after church. The crabmeat omelet was good but the goat cheese was a little overpowering for the crabmeat. The TOA omelet was wonderful with guacamole on top instead of plain avocado. Very important to make reservations!
Great Chicken and Biscuits! A must try but you have to make a reservation on Saturday’s and Sundays
Food was really good almost worth the long wait. I did find a rubber string in my mimosa and the second drink came back way stronger.
Food, service, atmosphere and using Open Table were great. Menu lists a choice of avocado or guacamole. My friend and I both ordered avocado, however, it’s served mashed (which we didn’t know until the waitress explained) which makes it look like guacamole. On my friend’s plate, it actually was guacamole. Perhaps a relook at how the avocado is served or an explanation on the menu would help. My thanks. Love the restaurant and always recommend it to folks looking for good food and a unique setting.
The food was very good, however, my companion and I received the wrong order.
We were seated promptly at the time of our reservation, we ordered drinks and our meal. Our drinks came in a reasonable time but an hour and fifteen minutes later our food had not arrived. I asked if we could just pay for the drinks and leave but they said our food was ready and it was on it’s way to the table. Five minutes later they said our food was not ready after all. They comped our drinks and we left sad and very hungry.
Seated us 30 min late. Omelette over cooked and not very flavorful. Bacon soggy.
This was our first time trying brunch at Lulu's. It will not be our last. I had a seafood/bacon omelet that was too die for. There were four of us and everyone loved their meal. Thanks
I loved everything about this place and our food was amazing and it looked pretty and tasted delicious! We will be visiting this place again
My absolute favorite place for brunch!!! Atlantic omelet never disappoints and the mimosas are fun/unique/well liquored 😉 💁🏻😍
Food was good enough but they would not seat us without our whole party even though I had a reservation. There’s a ton of construction down there and my 2 out of town guests had trouble with parking and were 10 min late. My husband and I would’ve liked to sit down at our table and get a drink while we waited.. the hostesses said when our guests got there “oh just in time” because they were about to give away the table we had reserved that sat empty while we waited.. when we did sit down service was slow and lackluster. Again, food was good but wished I had taken my guests to Lucy’s or Saison Market instead.
