If your looking for entertainment and dancing this is the place. Food was very disappointment. No flavor and it seemed rushed.
I came here with my husband for my 50th birthday and had so much fun. The salsa lesson was great and the bad was amazing! I had the best waiter Francisco who really made my night special...he went out of his way to make sure that I had everything I needed....if you go to Lula lounge I hope you are lucky enough to have Francisco!
I brought my date and hoped-for one day partner for an evening of jazz music; Lula Lounge exceeded expectations, the music and ambience were great, very romantic, we had a memorable evening. Service was great. We'll be back!
Great room. Good sight lines. Relaxed vibe. Great 'world music' venue with a latin flair.
As always I had the best time. The food the band the people and the staff were amazing. I would and do recommend Lula to everyone
I already left a review on Google but it was great! The food (especially the calamari) could have been better but overall it was really nice! Great place to get together with friends for a night of dancing and fun!
It was quite the experience!
We were there for the music. We have gone to hear Gary Morgan with his Jazz Pan Americana for many years. The solid food & splendid service are a decided bonus. The renovations in progress great to see happening. New basement washrooms are great.
I was extremely disappointed for my birthday at Lula this year. What was once a place I loved and had a memorable birthday a few years back unfortunately did not hold the same weight this year.
From the confirmation that our reservation was able to be increased to more people, yet when we arrived, there wasn't enough room for even the original 8 people at the table they gave us.
We waiting for over an hour before our initial drink order arrived, and that was after we asked our server and another twice to bring them.
Half of my party had to stand at the bar and couldn't order food, because of the reservation mix up and not room to accommodate the extra people. Lula then proceeded to charge all of the non-eating people $15 cover charge, as if it was their fault they were starving and couldn't eat!!!
They changed the menu and no longer offered the two meals we had actually enjoyed the last time and come back for.
Further drinks were impossible to order from our serve because she was too busy to check in with us and/or took them but never brought them.
Overall, it made my birthday very uncomfortable and unenjoyably as I was worrying about my guests the whole time.
Great show! Loved the music!!!! Coming back every year for the Sinatra show.
This was my 2nd time listening to live music with a JazzFM group. Absolutely enjoyable experience!
Awesome food, great drinks! Jerked Chicken and a staff that aims to please. Lawd the bar can make a drink. The music of Kollage and the great Diane Braithwaite. There is a word....perfection. If you don’t go here you have missed the very best of Toronto and shame on you!
Great staff, 3 of us spent over $250, with only 2 alcoholic drinks.
Without food, there is a $15 per person cover charge. So that offsets it a bit. But the portions were small and a bit dry.
I’d go back to party, but not eat.
Most importantly, ask for the price of anything you are offered to eat or drink. Some things like Caipirinha is $11 and served in a small glass. NOT WORTH IT!!
I would never come back here. The venue itself was nice but the entertainment was awful. We came for the Krystal Voice who was supposed to be on from 9pm-1am. She didn’t come on till 10:30 and she sang lik 3 songs and left. I wish we got our 20$ entrance fee back because it was completely not worth it. False advertising beware of this place....
Charity event in pleasant surroundings. A very good dinner special Latin inspired as per this venues roots. They make a really tasty Classico Mojito. The waitress was a delight and after orders are taken they have staff to bus the food to your table which works best in this busy venue for food to arrive still hot from the kitchen.
We arrived at Lula and we were greeted by a couple of welcoming employees. Our waitress was nice, even though she made mistakes with a drink she was always friendly and willing to correct things promptly.
The food portions were huge with exception of the desserts. Food came quickly and it was delicious as well as nicely presented.
The salsa class gets everybody in the mood, but the place gets too crowded to be able to dance comfortably.
The live music was excellent but a bit too loud.
I would go again if they fix the problem with the sound and stay if there was more room to dance comfortably.
